Oh yes i remember now, back when it took skill to use the knife and having someone's "tags" was actually meaningful. I even did a knife tourney back in this game, really fun.

@QueefJuicer2 they can use that to raise the challenge of the game, the titan is destructible, and could be on many other maps even in conquest or Goliath, I thin'k that is part of the game, an what makes it "real" and a king of RPG FPS, you play a roll that is important for your team, and without engineers vehicles cannot be repaired, I loved one thin about this battlefield and was that the rockets from the engineers, hardly killed other players :D

@QueefJuicer2 well, I'm half agree but it´s up to you, they have to think a lot to create the maps specially for those closed maps like Camp Gibraltar and think what´s destructible what is partially destructible, and what not, something like that specially in no vehicles mode, but engineer are not as boring as RDX noobs, when I am sniper, I let the RDX for vehicles, and mines for people, :P any way that is a essential part of the game, and BF gives that opportunity to use energy shields

@QueefJuicer2 of course i'm agree with you, they give points for every thing you do (spots that are killed things like that) but the kits are gonne be 4 as this one the same, this is not bad, i think the kits from the other games are a split of medics and support, there are going to be 4 games, 2 that are basically kill enemies by squads and teams, rush, and conquest, hehe not as much as back then, whe have conquest, titan, co-op, no vehicles, assault lines, hahah this bf2142 is awesome, 2143!!!

@J1mmyAva1on Yes it has dedicated servers but the total # of players now is much smaller now then what it was a few years back. Shame really because 2142 was the most fun I’ve had on a BF game.

I DL the patch from FileFront or through the EA download manager.  Just make sure its the 1.5 full patch (should still be current patch)

I have before but not since my was activated. I bought mine through EA Download Manager (2nd copy), and have no problems with that version. Look on EAs forums should have topic dedicated to fixing that issue. Hope that helps.

I got this game in 07 and have been playing it on/off ever sense. Having badges and awards keeps the game going even after you hit max level and there are enough map and game types to find something to like. Best buy is the deluxe edition that includes both 2142 + Northern Strike for like $20.

First off not all the sniping shots came from the same spot OR from the same map. Some were from tower outside silo 3 on Suez Canal and others were from outside Silo 5 on Sidi Power plant. If you look at older comments you should see me giving this answer before. Hope this helps.

That's the cool part, If you find a good server: 64 players on a map (32 vs 32), and the maps are HUGE, average around 2.5 km long on some I believe. but yeah, go to the website and I think they have maps on there, but yes, the multiplayer is big.

I would say they are easier to use even if youre not crouched, especially with LMGs. They big difference I see is zoomed vs not zoomed. But what do I know :)
