For the record, Harry Alford is a Conservative who was already angry about Barbara Boxer going after Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas. Alford had an agenda and was looking for a fight with Boxer.
It was Alford being the racist and making it racial. Barbar Boxer put in supporters in the bill, some happened to be Black groups, some that weren't. Yet Alford wanted it to seem like she was pitting a Black group against him.
But Boxer stayed cool and calm and just refuted everything Alford said.

Disagreeing with a black person on what is the best for black people is not wrong in any way. Not only is it possible that a majority of blacks might disagree with Alford, but who supports or doesn't support something is completely irrelevant to whether or not it would actually be effective at helping a particular group, whether it's blacks, the poor, or whoever.
