Great interview. The movie was quite something, too. They did a great job letting the Jesus Camp folks tell us who they were. I imagine some of them probably liked the film because it was fair and accurate, and others who loved it because it did such a great job exposing that world.
I am always annoyed when I hear people--usually people from the East Coast--talk about this red state/blue state divide. I do not believe what they are seeing is a geographical divide but a social one. New York, Boston, Washington DC--these "blue state" cities are FULL of religious people--every bit as religious as those featured in Jesus Camp. It seems the more educated and "cosmopolitan" one becomes, the more insulated one becomes as well.
