I have the DD-20 and cant seem to get my swells to last long enough and overlap like yours. It seems like Im missing something. What settings or additional pedals would have the most influence? Thanks
@chanmaster5000 If you choose either Analogue or Modulate you can turn the repeats almost all the way up. With Modulate, you'll want to turn the tone knob down to darken the sound so its not so bright. With Analogue you can leave tone in the middle. The DL4 is probably adding to the overall "length" that you're talking about. I'm using a swell setting on there and what's happening is the delay is then getting delayed again.....so that's why it lasts so long. Hope that helps :)
@chanmaster5000 maybe.....I think the DD3 is only digital delay right? Analogue and Modulate are going to be the settings that give you a warm/ rich sound
@leegsherman Yes the DD-3 is digital. I just switched the order of my pedals and I cant believe the difference it made!! I have such cleaner and a more angelic tone when i do swells! Im going volume pedal, tube screamer, DD-20, DD-3, tuner, amp. Though i am getting closer to being able to maintain one swell to harmonize with another. it just seems like Im missing something. What would I need to add to my board to get the type of swells you do? The Line-6?
@chanmaster5000 The Line 6 DL4 has some great sounds. If you are looking for a reverb that has "angelic-like" characteristics, the Boss RV-5 on the modulate setting is pretty awesome :)
