John Mill in the 17th century noted 30,000 variations between existing greek versions of the bible. Today the number of variations is up to 400,000. And that is in the available versions of the ORIGINAL TEXT. That is... there are more variations in the text than there are words in the bible. God's inerrant word indeed.

Translations are not satanic. The NIV like the KJV was translated from the original hebrew and greek. The only difference is one used more modern languages and is translated from older scripture. I don't agree with burning any book, but most of you sound like the"radical muslims" that like to burn christian churches and bibles in other countries. Many people won't burn the koran not so much out of respect but out of fear. Islam is political, not a mere religion, they don't want separation of church and state-Its their way or no way, educate yourselves on countries controlled by Islamic law, they have no desire for individual rights or freedom.

ummm, if you are a church isn't burning bibles sort of counterproductive? i'm a christian, but this is odd. ummmmmmm, and i don't think it matters what translation of the bible you read, as long as it is an acurate translation from the greek/hebrew. some of the newer translations are actually better translations than the kjv. people need to get a grip.

These Christians should rephrase their declaration: The Hebrew and Greek manuscripts (the 'Received Text' or 'Majority Text') used to translate the KJV are GOD'S miraculously preserved Word. But the english translation has flaws. That's why we need to seek the buried treasure in the Hebrew and Greek. John 21 describes two versions of love: Peter used phileo, while Christ used agape. One was limited and selfish, the other unlimited and unselfish. Just one of many examples. (Rome despises the KJV)

A more correct translation would be Youth as the NIV puts it.

I support, the King James Version. But would use an electronic, or a software dictionary, in case I couldn't understand the words. I think it is something else that they were, burning books that wasn't Bible but Christian inspired. Acts 19:19-20 could be quoted as well. But since times have changed, do they give references to the greek and hebrew words with the numberings? Do they know how to pray strategically against satanic forces? Those two are basic, and advanced if you ask me.

The incredible thing about this church is that no where in The Holy Bible does it say King James is the only true Bible. In fact for many reasons the KJ has been revised because its wording was awkward. However this does not mean that the King James is wrong and we should never burn books that actually do bring people into a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Truly this church is making a horrible mistake. Because God's Word is God's Word, lets not forget who we serve!

The NIV DOES NOT say what the KJV says, it's been changed in 30-50,000 places with many hundreds of words cut out. You NIV is from Catholic texts. You could use any Bible you want, but at least know the truth.

Tonight the heavens opened and rain fell. Book burning didn't take place. There were several news crews, Sheriff and protesters. There may have been books destroyed but when the flock left the building it was the woman and children first, only five of them and then the pastor himself. As the woman & and children left he turned out the light, as if trying to hide their identities & turned it on and then back off when he left.
We are unsure if chicken and all the sides were served!
