I have had all seemed a beautiful machine due.Mi the zafira zafira a.ma between a and b there are many changes. I have a zafira b 1.9 150cv cosmos, automatic is very powerful there is nothing to say
The speed is limited to protect the engine as too much heat is generated at high speed. There is not enough space to ventilate. If you had the same engine in a vectra it wouldn't have the limiter. Learn about engines before saying something is "stupid" ! Do more than the correct top speed of 130mph and you will soon be complaining how the engine has failed.
@bigjig87 A Sat nav can never show the absolute correct speed because of the variation of inclination in the ground. When you're going steeply uphill the sat nav will show your speed as being slower than it actually is. Only when you are tavelling absolutely flat will you get a true reading, but that isn't possible because the Earth is round. Also, I don't disagree that the speedos aren't always correct, but when I was caught by a speed camera I was sent a NIC which showed the -
my dad has a 57 plate astra cdti 150 and it has so much turbo lag its good when your in the turbo but once you have to change gear it takes ages to build up speed again to hit the turbo and unless your in the turbo theirs no power at all
@Zwijnkonijn american version of the vauxhall astra like the general motors version but not as good ;) my brother also has 1.9 cdti 150bhp and it is very fast ;)
That was also my first idea. But 2 things. when I hit the limiter, the car falls back and immedeately goes back to the +/- 230. 2. A friend of the club as removed the limiter and it now goes up to the 240...
it takes a while but it gets there ...
opel also confirmed that the 6th gear has a 400 rpm limiter :o(
I thing 220 km/h is the top speed and there is no limiter. because in my saab 93, I have the same engine and first 2 gears are 5500d/d and then 4500 and it goes 230km/h in sixth gear when 4500d/d but I guess your cars acceleration is much more better then mine.
Doesn't the sport button increase the revs limit?

pull the pins Sart the engine then re-insert them in the fuse box, and it will run without the limiter...

The acceleration is made in a big descent

@bigjig87
Might point out that a sat nav is only accurate to within 10 meters, so if your doing a 0-60-0 you would still be better off using the speedo :)

Fair enough, nobody cares. Just correcting your mistake.

speed camera as reading my speed the same as my car speedo
Zlyzer 2 years ago
@bigjig87 Uhh.. they're no limited at all. At least, not in the UK. The manual states something like 137 MPH being the top speed.

limiter on 4000rpm ? it sucks :S

its interesting that your 150 hp car gos from 140 to 200km/h in just 12 seconds on 6th gear. its like more than 200hp or downhill:S

let's say that the badge means 150 bhp... ;o)

thats my point

@seggelek These engines have massive amounts of torque, more than a low end Porsche Cayenne in fact.

It is to protect the engine and stop you speeding on tyres not suitably rated.
