I was just told by a family member that I'm "shooting for stars that aren't there" because I want to be the first poet to go mainstream. I love this and I'm not trying to sound like a spammer nor sound arrogant but I write poetry & what I say is meaningful. If you enjoyed this, you'll enjoy me. I KNOW I'm good. I tried hitting up blogs with this but they don't want to hear anybody who doesn't have at least 10,000 legitimate views on here so watch & comment & I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks!
This was was a concept I came with and love working on this with great artist like Talib, Sal, & the man Dr West. We are in the studio working on the new CD which I think is real hot can't wait for u all to hear. Peace and progress
He is at the end of the real song on Cornel West's album "Never Forget" He called together all types of rapper and artists to create an album to inform the youth.
Bushonomics = "failed economic policies of president bush"
Obama today criticized John McCain for supporting the "failed economic policies" of President Bush that "essentially said we should strip away regulations, consumer protections, let the market run wild, and prosperity would rain down on all of us. It hasn't worked out that way."
Everyone, this track is from "Cornel West & BMWMB." It is called "Never Forget: A Journey of Revelations." It seems a lot of people are feelin' the track, but don't know where its from. Cornel West is an intellectual, currently a professor at Princeton. A lot of killa mcs are on his album, Andre 3000, Rah Digga, Black Thought, & KRS One among others. Buy it from the store or download it. It's dope & it's real.
This song isn't on his last album. He said he may release a mixtape with it on their on hi s my space page. The las ersion i heard on raw66 had the same beat but twealed a little. It's way sicker than this.
Lately i have heard more and more rappers speak out on the policies of this country from people like Lil Scrappy and Rich boy to Talib Kweli and Kanye West...and i really think they are trying to censor hip hop cuz dey realize wat its impact on young people is and dey want to control dat cuz rite now dats one of the few things dey have control over
I am not sure they are trying to censor hip hop they are just conscious of the affect that their music has on youth and are consciously trying to make their lyrics mean something. if it's from the heart that who cares.
Amazing song

Everyone who likes beats like these should check out Jimi productionz and his song called Make em lean. It would be perfect for Talib Kweli.
