Does anyone remember the TV spot for Dracula's Curse? Can't seem to find it anywhere. I only saw it once and I've been dying to watch it again after all these years.
@JimHawkwind03411 no ones' opinion counts. To find out if a game sucks you have to play it yourself. And I mean PLAY IT not just 10 or 20 minutes of it.
This was the very first game I'd ever played that actually scared me. It didn't help of course, when Nintendo Power helped cement the horror of the Castlevania games by featuring Simon Belmont holding Dracula's decapitated head on one of their covers.
And Simon was supposed to be the GOOD GUY! But I guess that proves something: before there was Solid Snake, before there was Kratos, before there was Master Chief, there was Simon Belmont.
What? No, no, that's not what I meant at all. It was in a series of characters I was mentioning. I didn't think to keep them in a timeline order. Sorry, if you took it that way.
@MrFFwinner I've never understood why so many people complain about that...it's ironic because the same ppl who gripe about that usually also say that the FDS version is better, even though that had like 30 second load times every 3 screens. I've been playing this game since I was 8 years old and never even noticed the transition time...it only seems to have become an issue since AVGN brought it up...never heard a complaint about it before then
@RichieEastside No one ever really complained about this game until AVGN did that review. This game is amazing, yes frustrating but not so frustrating that it's a bad game. Some gamers can't think for themselves.
Got this on PC with all three Nes versions! Kinda weird yet kinda off cool too...

@rang3r34
I own all 3 games on NES, this wasn't as bad as the nerd said but it was a good enjoyable game yet challenging.

@Johnlindsey289 Yeah, he really made it sound worse than it was.

I'm surprised my NES can handle graphics like this! Amazing!

I love how even *this commercial* skips over the incredibly long daytime/nighttime switch 0.o haha

I actually prefer Castlevania II over the newer DS ones.

Yep, the music was taken from the original FDS version.
And you shouldn't take the AVGN's reviews seriously. He's not a professional video game critic.

@JimHawkwind03411
wait wait wait...
just because he isnt professional (which he is... he's endorsed by spike) means his opinions dont count?
so if you say a game is good... we shouldnt believe you because your not professional??

@Fisher1031 I'm not knocking on the AVGN.
It's just that he's no Roger Ebert or Leonard Maltin, and even I don't take them seriously.

Wait, Kratos predated Solid Snake? But the first game Snake was in (Metal Gear) was released in the 80's for the MSX.
