@kevinsdb1 The game is actually kind of playable now. I disabled all my processes in the background like a stupid dude from activision said after I sent them this video, and the game is playable. Still, issues like: Sometimes when I encounter an enemy and I start to shoot at him, the sounds starts to be choppy, rendering my CPU at 100% usage, and freezing for 1-3 seconds, (rendering me dead). That is quite frustrating
I suggest you wait for these issues to be fixed and then buy the game..
@Ggd07 Ya but you shouldn't have to do all that crap just to get the game to run decent. The fucking thing should just run good without having to do anything to it.
@cradlecradle yup I have tried altering a lot of variables in the configs and nothing helped. Only thing that helped a little is entering /snd_restart in the console for a couple of minutes.
Hi I have the same problems with this game ...
I have fixed it by installing windows XP home on a spare hdd
no lag and very smooth game play .

You have also tried out the config fixes like multithreading and such?
I'm still on the fence when it comes to buying the game, got several friends that got smooth gameplay with really old computers.
No hardware that seems to be suspect all across the board either, its almost like it comes down to luck. =)

Have you tried disabling your onboard sound drivers? This seems to be a culprit for a lot of people.
