  • @jfraz1992 Even in commercial songs like 'Rosa Parks' his concept is strong. He doesn't have good delivery? That just shows me you don't listen to much 3 stacks to be honest, don't deny it. He has one of the most diversifying flows in hip hop history. Listen to 'Rosa Parks' and 'B.O.B', some of the best flow/delivery you will ever hear.

  • @MrCommenterguy Don't bother. He has some weird hatred for Andre 3000.

  • @spxeli lool, some people can't comprehend Andre's unique style, people are used to NY rapping. I admit it was hard for me to dig his style at first. But it's brilliant.

  • @spxeli What struck me was he said 3000 doesn't have good delivery.

  • @MrCommenterguy What can you do? Some people just have terrible taste.

  • @jfraz1992 an extension* from the previous line 'go to the nearest beach and open your car door, and go to the place where the sea meets the land...'. His lyricism is unique, using abstract lyricism, storytelling, light double entendre's which fit in with the content and aren't just random (like the example I just showed you). You will find this is most of his verses. His content is always strong, sometimes overlooked, I bet you didn't get the MLK reference in here? All his verses have concepts.

  • @jfraz1992 "It's easier to run the streets than walk in the sand". That is one example in this verse. Take this line from a literal perspective, it's true, it is easier to run along the streets than walk in the sand. But he also means 'run the streets' as in be the boss of the street scene, as in be a drug lord and 'run' the drug scene. So he says it is easier to gain money the illegal way, ie run the streets, than the legal way, which is compared to walking in the sand. This is also an extensi

  • @jfraz1992 on a strictly lyrical level 3 stacks can definitely be compared to Nas. Complex lyricism isn't exactly good lyricism, Andre 3000's lyricism is unique, he delivers deep concepts through a range of techniques including storytelling, creative wording, extended metaphors etc That's what lyricism is, the use of literary techniques to deliver a concept, 3000 does that better than most.

  • One day, there will be classes called "Urban Sociology" and the curriculum will be Andre 3000 verses.

  • Dre's verse is LONG!!!!

  • @jfraz1992 I appreciate Big Boi too, and sometimes he holds down equally to 3k on a track, but most of the time it's fair to call Dre a more skilled MC.

  • @jfraz1992 Nas is the only lyricist there who is in 3 stacks level, Common and Ye are in no way seeing 3000. And I love all of their music.

  • @MrCommenterguy andre 3000 would never made a classic album by himself so u can't compare andre to nas because nas has a illmatic what does andre has alone? exactly

  • @jfraz1992 It's not possible because being overrated is subjective. You can compare any MC whether they have a solo effort or not... Ability as an MC obviously has nothing to do with your criticism of Andre 3000 and therefore it's invalid. Would you rather Outkast never existed and both Big Boi and 3k were solo artists? Instead of being so negative why don't you just wait for 3ks solo album when it's released this year before making such an ignorant criticism.

  • @spxeli ignorant criticism? naw mines is constructive because yall put them on the highest pedestal and far as ability his lyrics aren't that complex and delivery isn't that crazy and in my opinion he was more of a singer than a rapper and i mention him not having a solo because many ppl like u always like to single him out as if he never was in a group

  • big boi might not make perfect sense but sometimes u have to listen to the flow of the rap and big bois verse just flows through the song for me anyways

  • and for the record big boi is much of legend as 3 stacks is

  • @jfraz1992 not exactly

  • @RespectProcess not exactly what

  • @jfraz1992 not exactly to what you said obviously. big boi isnt on the same level as andre. hes somewhat of a legend too but hes not one of the greatest of all time. andre is.

  • @RespectProcess greatest of all of time? r u out ur mind? andre isn't even on lupe's or even kendrick lamar level man so please stop, lyricism is a matter of opinion dude

  • @jfraz1992 lol right. you should get eaten by one of big bois pits

  • @jfraz1992 hahahahaha seriously? andre is genius > anyone you mentioned. If you have that opinion you havnt listened to enough andre

  • @IronPandaParade this debate is done nuff said

  • andre 3000 is not better than nas or common, not even kanye, so he would come last

  • @jfraz1992 Nas is my favorite MC, he and Andre are completely different MCs, but it's pretty close. Andre 3000 is definitely better than Common and Kanye West though. All four are in my top ten.

  • @spxeli i disagree lol

  • @jfraz1992 Okay disagree. You obviously don't like Andre 3000. Any particular reason? Because it obviously has nothing to do with ability as an MC.

  • @spxeli the hell it is because andre 3000 is hella overated and until he makes a solo rap album i will determine that and by the way u can't count speakers & below because he sung throughout the whole album

  • @jfraz1992 you can't be overrated. In what context does that even work? He's overrated because you don't like him... why would you even like Big Boi if you hate Andre? That must mean you don't like Outkast as well...

  • @spxeli now ur putting words in my mouth i never said i hated 3 stacks i stated i felt he was overated and yes it is possible when u have many nay sayers just like jay and wayne so yea it u can so be overated

  • @jfraz1992 u gott be shittin me he will mop the floor wit them

  • @miriambradley who???

  • andre 3000 , best rapper eva real talk buuuuut he got a faggot sence of fashion lol

  • Eww "Big Boi, featuring Andre 3000" seeing that makes me sick.... new rap fans these days... thats like saying Bun B Featuring Pimp C/ Juicy J featuring DJ Paul. Krazie bone featuring Bizzy bone/ 8Ball featuring MJG/ Ice Cube feat Eazy E/ Salt Feat pepper(lol) yall see were im going.. dont do that....

  • Lupe, lowkey and akala

  • Andre did his verse after the track was already finished. Raekwon could have dropped 38 bars too and blew 3 stacks out the fuckin water.

  • Comment removed

  • Lupe Fiasco is a better comparison to Andre3000 i think or maybe kendrick lamar, But really no one is touchin 3stacks

  • Andre 3000, Lupe Fiasco, Q-Tip, Nas... Can't go wrong!!!

  • Andre 3000 Pac Biggie Wale my favorite lyricists

  • how do you dislike this? haha

  • I would agree that Big Boi lacks substance. This is made most obvious on songs like "Da Art of Storytelln' (Part 1)." Andre does an incredibly heartfelt rap about a girl he knew who was found dead of an overdose in the back of a school, and Big Boi raps about how he wanted to screw some groupie, but he had to pick up his daughter and go home to his wife, so he got head instead. That pretty much sums it up.

  • @JamesJBreeze hahahahhaha on point description! but for me its that contrast and unpredictability that makes OutKast the greatest musical duo ever

  • @JamesJBreeze I disagree. That was back in 98. Nowadays I'd say Big Boi usually stays on track with what Dre does. And I don't mind if he talks about stuff like on Da Art of Storytellin. That's one of my favorite songs of all time, and big boi has his own style which he showed on sir lucious left foot. He didn't try to sound just like 3K because that's not what he does best

  • @JamesJBreeze The purpose of the Art of Storytellin series was to show contrast in the interrelationships of men and women. Big Boi was supposed to be Andre's foil. Not that you're wrong, just that that wasn't as good of an example as say Synthesizer or Ova Da Wudz or D.E.E.P.. However, that's not to say that he lacks substance to a fault. The number of tracks where he's saying something still outnumber the tracks where he's saying nothing. His substance level is just lower than Andre's.

  • @JamesJBreeze Remind me to smack you when i see u for disrespecting a living legend such as Big Boi. Your quoting one song off one album and Outkast has 6+ albums spanning nearly 20 years. I take it you havent heard his latest album. You definitely need a lesson in the study of Outkast

  • @JamesJBreeze Hit me back when 3 Stacks drops his solo album.

  • @JamesJBreeze I love Big Boi nonetheless, but I just think he has a different character than Andre, Big Boi is more of the gangster type than Andre. He still tells a story in an effective way however

  • @JamesJBreeze but what you don't understand is Big Boi is Second only to Dre. Big Boi is still a lyrical Genius.

  • @JamesJBreeze they both rap about their realities or things they can relate to. no matter how deep the lyrics are-they are both lyricists and musical geniuses.

  • @TheBrainfood whoa, whoa, I would definitely not say Big Boi has no substance...if anything 3000 is just weirder with it while Big Boi is more conventional with it.

  • Nah, its only a single Andre 3000 was forbidden to be on the album by the record label.

  • is this on any outkast album ?? or just mixtapes

  • @blaqdiemenz its on big boi's solo album

  • The nintendo wiis/whopper with cheese line is so fucking poignant.

  • 3000 went off

  • it took me 2 years to find this song and it shows up randomly on the side of my suggested list...

  • This is a f###n amazing song!! Boi set it up nicely at the start, then chef kept it going with the sick flow, and Andre? He murdered this!!!! the Isley Brothers sample is super!

  • Andre's verse was nice but COME ON GUYS! MY NIGGA CHEF SMASHES THIS BEAT UP.

  • what movies is andre 3k in

  • everytime i pull this song up i feel compelled to make a post.....i think to myself: are you kidding? this is genius.

  • classic verse from andre

  • 3000, when on his game, is FIRE.

  • i love how both raekwon and big boi's verses were short so 3000 can just shit on the track

  • that sample is too nice haha

  • Comment removed

  • @MariosLasagna of course we can agree to disagree but Andre 3000 verse was more than just rambling it was some real life lessons in that verse while Big boy was just shouting out countries

  • its easier 2 run the streets then walk in the sand

  • andre is an amazing artist but big boi makes this track

  • @Oneightninezero were we listening to the same song?

  • @chefvinson by "makes this track" I mean sets up the flow and the creates the emotion without him this track would lack finesse. Lyrically Andre is superior and always will be, but rap isn't just about lyrics it's also about delivery and Big Boi delivers. -peace

  • Should have been on the official album

  • uhmmm i thought the title would be outkast ft. raekwon?

  • Hey guys I did a freestyle on this track. I promise I won't dissapoint plz check it out!

  • who ever said andre 3000 is a better version of snoop dog does not know a thing about lyricism, what the hell kind of contrast is that?? Andre 3000 is a genius. best rapper in the game, hands down next is nas and common.
