  • Did you make it in to a DVD player yet?

  • These guys are noobs!!!

"That is the uhhhh... Circuit board thing..."

    Hahahahaha!!

  • I herd if you touch the flyback transformer on an imac, it gives you superpowers

  • You can fix on in like 1 hour. You noobs! That is a brill mac!

  • That computer is the easiest thing to fix.

  • never was a fan of the bondi blue g3s.

  • you may wanna save the parts

  • i would have give you 50 bucks for that imac

  • @TheExp420 i've got an orange tray load

  • @kf932009 i've got a blue slot loader an a white g4

  • @TheExp420

You can buy mine for $50. It works. I can buy a better one for $50 from an apple reseller.

  • iMac G3 are an important piece of computer history, especially the slot loaders. Way to screw it up dumb asses.

  • just great, another imac that could re-paired easily , gone! These computers are going to be hard to find some day, and i wonder why................... Oh wait!! we have dumb asses wanting to do fucked up shit with them. and don't start saying that it couldn't be re-paired or sold, these computers are wanted working or not working because there is people that could fix these computers in a heartbeat and save them from being destroyed and/ or in a landfill

  • No, you suck. You are too stupid to figure out punctuation.

  • what out for the CRT, it contains 27,000 Volts on it, yo can get electricuted!!!

  • Can You get electrocuted if its plugged into the mains ? :)

  • CRTs can hold a load of electricity even after being unpluged, but I think there is a safe way to discharge that stored energy.

  • Yes, so you shouldn't messing with those things.

  • Oh I dont, I was Just wondering ? :)

  • you should've sold the parts on ebay

  • get an imac new model or macbook

  • Woah watch out for the CRT!!!

  • its just like a emac

  • Mates,i took apart one of those 3 days ago it took 30 mins

  • I had to figure this out myself so I could remove the hard drive (it is dead). I am going to find a new hard drive. The rest of the unit works, so I will replace the dead hard drive, then give it to my iBrother (an Apple fan. I won't keep it myself because I'm a PC person). I found it earlier today in the trash.

  • holy balls that does look hard

  • i have one of those i wana freaking get out the F**KING hardrive with out destroying it but when i removed the bottom cover i was like wth!?Now what!?!

  • You should be careful when your messing around with the display tube. Those capacitors are upwards of 50,000 volts and can hold their charge for weeks.

  • True. My friend did that, well...

A few weeks in the hospital.

  • SCARY~~~

  • i want imac g3

  • Really? I thought taking apart this one was easier.

  • no it's the slot loading one that doess that this is the hardest one to take apart

  • so not this one the other slot loading one (there are diffrent modles)

  • I just took one of these apart, and I've taken apart some of the newer ones in the past, and there were fewer screws to remove on this one, at least to get out the motherboard tray. For me at least, fewer screws= easier.

  • nop

  • I hate taking those apart

  • so did he ever make it into a TV/dvd player?

  • how dare you throw it off a cliff lol

  • I think this is much better than burning it, throwing it off a cliff, smashing it with a hammer, or pouring stuff all over it. The pieces will probably go to good use, rather than ending up in a junkyard.

  • ez meg mi...

  • Nice , Just nothing like tearing down an old Imac G3!!

  • I took apart a G3 once it is annoying as hell. But once it is done, you can do a lot with it.

  • The slot loaders are newer than the tray loaders.

  • who cares!the are both mac!

  • That's so much fun to do... I have one of those, but it was broken broken (dropped), so me and my friend RIPPED it apart, literally, with a hammer and vice grips and everything. I still have the CRT tube sitting on my desk, because those things are so hard to get rid of, especially when they're not in a case. (I had an iMac DV orange).

  • Heyy u stole my Hurly Hoodie i have tht one

  • i have one....

FYI: the color is not green it is bondi blue

  • The iMac G3s did come in green as well

  • It was never called "green"... it came in Bondi Blue, Tangerine, Strawberry, Grape, Lime, and Blueberry. Other notable colours are: Ruby, Indigo, Snow, Flower Power, Dalmatian, Graphite, and Sage.

  • let me know how to tv/dvd thing goes

  • lol

  • dismantling it, a.k.a,"destroying it" haha

  • cool

  • awesome!
