If you are wondering more about the Bible and Christianity, I would suggest going to church sometime, or talk to some friends or people you might know that are Christians. If your father is an atheist, then I can see what you mean. Bit don't let one person stop you from following what you believe in. I'm a die-hard life-long Christian but i actually do not necessarily agree with th creation story. I personally believe that God uses evolution and Science to acomplish his works. I view science as a tool that God uses.

Its good to hear genesis in my opinion cause it supresses my fear from death

to be honest though I have religous conflicts or uncertanies ( though I am christian still) Im afraid that when I go that there will be nothing but oblivion. But now that I think of it there has to be a reason why we are here. So maybe faith is the personal evidence to any individual being.

this part of the bible truly makes no sense. saying that god created light and darkness on day 1 making light day and darkness night and then saying that the sun and moon were created on the 4th.. hahah oh well. its a contradiction. they are consistent :P
