I love POTC, but this world is a lot more graphic than the rest of the game so I can see why some people are bothered. Although, the film is a 12 rating and so is this game. Plus the kids have probably seen the film anyway. You can see how they've tried to make it milder though; no cuts, no stabs and no Will pointing the gun at his own head like in the film.

Mind you my sister is 12 but the cursed pirates freak her out. I guess something like Treasure Planet would probably have been better.

It's seafaring tradition. No one knows why really: it might be because boats had female names, or because of the figurehead at the front of ships, or maybe grammar we don't use anymore. Hope that helps.

I liked the idea of having pirates of the carribean in kingdom hearts, but I don't like how much storyline and characters they cut out from the movie, such as the British navy and Jack sparrow's crew. Plus, Will turner fought in the movies. The last thing is that Sora can kill the pirates. I didn't like this, because it really reduced the pirate's effectiveness and emphasis placed on the curse. It was a good idea, I just wish they could have done some of the stuff I listed above.

I could understand how the Japanese would dub these scenes horribly, since they'd sound as awkward as Sora sounds in English, but why in BLaZes didn't they put a better effort into the English version?

Kingdom Hearts is a RPG video game that merges the Disney characters with those of Final Fastasy, I believe. I cannot wait for the Final Mix Plus to come out later on this month. However, it is just Japan for now.
