  • Love It!!! Sure miss those medleys!! Thanks so much for posting this and all the other great postings!! Luv ya Bunches!!!!

  • Listening to Eydie and Carol is absolute Gold! Two wonderful ladies with beautiful voices. I miss the 70's!

  • WONDERFUL!!

    Thank you ladies!!

    Love you both!!

  • The chemistry and complementary talents of these two amazing ladies comes through ever so clear, but the privilege of seeing once again the classic beauty of Eydie's face on full screen for the better chunk of ten minutes made this vid a joy to watch. THANKS for sharing:)

  • 5:43 LOL, she is my new god XD

  • Holy crap. I had no clue Carol could sing!!

  • Wow..this was fantastic!

  • Muito bom, obrigado! parabéns!

  • Awesome clip! What is so great about both of these ladies as performers is their abilities to mesh great vocal "from the shoes" belting along with the comedic characterizations on the Disney tune and then right back to the belting. And all done in a very charming manner. So entertaining!!! No pop stars these days are doing this kind of thing?! Hello?!

  • Why did this have to end - the video and the era? Never see the likes of this ever again. True pure talent - all done with their clothes on and on the strength of a good song and great voice. Thank you Carol and Edyie. You will live forever.

  • Now, this is when Television was GOOD! Thanks for the memories!

  • I will always love you Eydie

  • When Eydie breaks into Somewhere Over the Rainbow at 3:26 I DIED! What a voice! How did I never know of her before?

  • I LOVED this!!!! And the ending was FANTASTIC!!

  • Just Great!!!!!!

  • YESSS! Carol & Julie, now Carol and this wonderful woman Eydie Gorme!? Gorgeous! :D

  • I remember this one, and it was terrific.

  • This is as good as it gets!

  • What a great clip!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love this stuff, shame we don't get this anymore

  • This made me cry.. there are no greater!

  • i really want to know the name of this song

    5:56

  • OMG, this is a fab medley.. by two great variety performers.. Who would not watch this every Sat night?

  • Love it... the birds in the snowhite song woow jejeje

  • I miss not seeing this kind of quality and personalities on TV anymore.. thank goodness for Youtube!

  • An example of the great age of music on television. Today, we get amateurs whose poor singing is overridden by techno-babble.

  • Talk about memories ... two wonderful ladies...

  • This is awesome! Thanks so much for posting it. They're great together.

  • When she sang Over the rainbow so powerful and flawless, she got a huge round of applause because the audience really missed Judy Garland. they needed to hear someone to do that song justice. It's impossible for anyone but Garland to sing that song. Eydie gave me chills!

  • TRUE talent ! Love it! Love them!

  • I love this!!

  • eydie gorme is so pretty and still is

  • OMG! This has made my day. I watched The Carol Burnett Show faithfully and would wait in sheer anticipation for the musical finalie's. I actually had this particular one recorded on a cassette and would listen to it for hours. For years. It's since been lost. So to discover this and still remember the words is astonishing. BRAVO!!! And THANK YOU!!!

  • OMG! SPEECHLESS,

  • How many artists today do you think could have pulled that off?!

  • Wow! Two of the greatest entertainers ever doing what they do best,

  • WOW !!!!!! I miss those days.

  • and that, kids, is how it's done.

  • Love This, Love Them....Special.Wonderful.Great! (Carol: you ARE a Singer...)

  • As good as television ever was and sadly isn't anymore. Thanks for posting.

  • You don't see this kind of entertainment on TV anymore. Great talents! What passes today for entertainment is garbage.

  • Absolutely fantastic!

  • We used to take this for granted back then when these shows were on almost nightly, wow do we need it again but who could do it? Two legends having a ball.

  • I know what you mean. My parents and I never missed this show. Back then there were only a few channels, compared to now. Why TV execs can't see that it's qualitiy not quantity is sad. I don't even watch TV anymore, haven't for years and my life is richer for it.

  • OMG Carol's face at 5:42 is fuuuuuny! And this whole this is AMAZING! I love the combo of songs!!!

  • I like how they sing a couple of Judy Garland numbers in a row, ending with Eydie's Over The Rainbow. It's a nice nod to the legend who had passed away only 8 years before this.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Real music. Not one note of spitting garbage.

  • Eydie (or Carol, for that matter) could have recorded any of those songs. Belters, both of them.

  • World class entertainers. This clip makes me happy. Thank you!

  • Their voices are so tightly intertwined throughout this thing -- truly a top-notch example of medley pairing and performing. The arranging is sensational too. Can't thank you enough for this posting!

  • Oh man.... what a duet!! Edye and Carol together... I'm amazed, stunned by the sheer talend f them both! They don't make them like this anymore, the music, the entertainment, the sense of humour... everything was so much better and easier.... thanks for posting!! Carol for Queen, I say!!

  • Been looking for this. Thanks! Made my day!

  • WOW they dont make them like that anymore...Such pure raw talent...

  • Eydie should have recorded THE WAY WE

WERE> Her voice gives the song a total

    new meaning.

  • I love them. They are just amazing. I love when Eydie bursts out into "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"!!!

You guys will always be amazing!

  • Wow. You cited my favorite part. Eydie was an extrordinary belter-giving "Rainbow" a whole other dimension of drama. Also love the Spanish breakdown of "The Continental" and the final pullback showing the old "Hollywood" logo. Great stuff, musical variety shows.

  • Sadly when this show went into syndication they deleted about 30 minutes of the show. Thank god SOME of the episodes have been issued on DVD. But they still have a way to go.

  • Yes and what they deleted was usually the musical numbers like this one. Columbia House put out a set of these shows that were complete. However not every episode was put on DVD and not in chronological order.

  • Entertainment can't get much better than this!!!!Thank you again EYDIEGORME. I just hope Eydie gets to see your site and reads all these comments. We L O V E her so much!!!! Eydie's Fans!! (If only she recorded SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW); THIS MEDLEY IS MERELY A "TEASE"

  • What a wonderful video clip of two very talented entertainers. Thank you for posting to You Tube. Both Eydie and Carol look fantastic and sound sensational!
