I would NEVER get a student loan because it is way too scary. You CANNOT declare bankrupcy on a student loan. I think I heard that there are two types of debt where your wages can be garnished without a court order--child support and student loans. If your college degree doesn't help you to get a higher paying job, then maybe you should have spent your money on a new iPod. Getting into trouble with a student loan sounds worse than getting thrown into the sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi.
