  • Clapton at his best

  • Tessa Niles looks awfully fit on here

  • oooooh, baby, baby, baby....

Just swimming in a Timeless groove tonight....

And my, oh my, oh my....

Just learned the meaning of the word 'Transcendental'.

    (thanks for sharing!)

  • Great perfomance for a great concert!!!!!

  • Love that jump at last!

  • Best big gig I ever went to. Once it stopped raining, and once Tears For Fears had buggered off, the Quo came on and everyone started moving. The rain of plastic bottles halfway-through, Cliff looking DECIDEDLY pissed-off when Hank took a solo, the moment Jimmy Page walked on to join Robert Plant, McCartney doing 'Hey Jude', and 'Run Like Hell' in the chucking rain. Awesome!

  • in 1990, I've seen this video thousand of times! incredible!

  • tina turner is an overated skank, tessa and katie are perfect

  • Excellent. Best version of the trac

k I've found on YT and I've been searching for bloody days! Cheers mate! Nathan East woohoo !

  • @Katiepoosful You're decidedly very lucky, Eric just resurrected the song for his 11-night residency at the Royal Albert Hall, I watched an extract from the 1st night show. A very nice surprise, as Slowhand stopped performing this August classic since 1998.

BTW Michelle John's vocals were incredible, not as good as Tina, Katie and Sheryl.

  • @strawer Hello there. I can never afford the damn RAH gigs. Would love to see him there though. I didn't see him at all this year :-( But am doing Derek Trucks and Mrs Trucks (Susan Tedeschi) next week. Woohoo!

  • I follow Clapton since the end of '80 and I have to say that at Knebworth he made one of his best ever performance... outstanding

  • @stratoblad dire straits too

  • мы отстали навсегда

  • Clapton rocks!!

  • i was there 1990 knebworth slowhand

  • I'd crawl through a mile of broken glass to smell one of Tessa Niles' farts.

  • Damn thats the best hairstyle a man could have I'm telin' ya....Damn it's perfect!ERIC best hair ever!!!

  • @TheEmperor77 He had grown his hair to his trademark style of that era in 2010.

Too bad he reverted back to the short haircut yesteryear.

  • Why rare concert?

For me it is the best version of this song.

  • @Wondrous7 For me as well!

  • @Wondrous7 I totally agree on that one!!!

  • i m glad u posted this.....wen i 1st seen this 20 yrs ago i think....rrrrr thats why they say brillient guitarist......plus the band is awesom and the chicks hot :)

  • Is'nt rare.

  • Mi ricordo di quel concerto come fosse ieri, la musica di Clapton è ancora attuale e lui rimane un mostro della chitarra

  • Katie K it''s all yoooooooou

  • Great Noise

  • eric brill as usual, tessa is hot x

  • @bothrops9 Tessa is Goddess #1

  • It's hard to know where to start on this one: Is it the insane in-the-pocket rhythm section of nathan east and steve ferrone? Or Nathan alone with the bass lines that KILL, just listen to that player! WOW!. Or Eric's first solo chorus? Or at the end where they all dance and the band doubletimes it and Eric blows through another smoking solo chorus? Stunning live track! Long Live Eric!

  • Great concert!!! Thanks for the upload!!!

  • Very cool!!!!!! wow

  • Pink suit FTW

  • What can you say about a bunch of musicians playing the best there is and having a bloody good time to boot...clapton the man

  • Ray Cooper is so cool!! Nathan is awesome and Eric is SUPERB as usual!

  • If Tessa Niles isn't the sexiest woman in the world, I'll cut off my remaining testicle.

  • Anyone know the names of the backup singers...?

  • @Catsnamed Katie Kissoon (Co-Vocal) and Tessa Niles.

  • @guglielmo64 Thanks for the info. I notice that everyone on stage is really enjoying themselves, and each other. Just a great time, and one hell of number, too. Drummers are superb, too. Don't know them, either.

  • @Catsnamed No problem.

  • @guglielmo64 do you know who is on bass ?

  • @jester295 Nathan East

  • @TSkkristen thank you :P

  • @jester295 As TSkkristen already replied, it would be Nathan East.

  • @guglielmo64 thanks :P

  • @guglielmo64 i just realisd its on the header .. lol i should read more of the comments :P

  • @Catsnamed The Drummer is Steve Ferrone and on percussion is Ray Cooper

  • @jester295 Thanks. I think they are quite good, and entertaining, too. They are both obviously having fun on this gig, as is everyone else. Quite a relaxed stage, with everyone having a real good time.

  • @Catsnamed thanks.. yeah it was a benefit concert for a music collage for the deaf and also the brits school. knebworth '90 i remeber it being on tv when i was a kid.

  • Good music and vid but EC in pink ??

  • Steve is soo damn smooth. I always thought this was Eric's A line up along with David S. who I believe was on tour with Sting at the time

  • Slowhand is on fire!

  • Great,loved the show

  • totally fucking brilliant

  • Strepitoso!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song, if that dont get you going noyhing will!!!

  • Clapton is brilliant as usual!

Great vocal, Great body Katie Kissoon!

  • lol i love how they dance at 6:03

  • Could use a little more CowBell though !!

  • Eric Clapton is class !!

  • 6:08 I can't magine what it would be like to go into a solo looking out at 100,000+ fans

  • His hairstyle, combined with the tight beard, was pretty cool. It's sad he decided to not kept it anymore. But it depends the tastes of everyone to judge how Clapton would look.

A lot of people says that this particular one was the worst of all Clapton hair and facial stylings.

  • what is the guys name that did the percussion ...always thought he was cool

  • The percussionist is Ray Cooper...been around forever and is a formidable dude!

  • Luv It Rays The Boy ! Top Dog !

  • Tessa Niles is a goddess.

  • what you said!!!!

  • @wineandwomen I have been getting into old clapton and have fell in love with tessa...I wish I knew how to email her.

  • The man's unbelievable...through his long, dark trip through heroin and alcohol addiction, he somehow managed to keep making music. What could he have done if he had had his head together? He's sober now and sounds better than ever. Salute to you Eric...

  • NATHAN RULES!!!!!!!

  • my dad took me to see queen live in knebworth in 86, i saw oasis live in 96

too bad i never seen clapton live but knebworth is one a hell of a show always

  • Gotta love that Phil Palmer too!

  • This fucking 'ROCKS' like fuck... awsum post dude...

  • Isn't this description a double fucking Oxy-Moron with a doubled fucking descriptor added-in, and with an unknown adjective also added in? However, I do agree with your statement that "This fucking 'ROCKS'... LOL!!!....

  • Thankyou my Friend...

  • Why don't you ask him Strawer?

  • Gotta love the bassist and his spirit. Truly gives a happy feeling to the whole performance.

  • thats Mr. Nathan East !

  • Whoa, that lady sings this rendition better than Tina Turner. This girl has very strong pipes. Not raspy like Tina; clear and projecting. And man is she HOT!

  • Comment removed

  • She is Katie Kissoon.....has shared the stage with EC quite a few times. :)

  • This vid just knocked the live in Hyde Park version from the first place. It has everything! East dancing around, cooper being badass and clapton in a pink suit!

  • No one loves it more than Nathan. So tight, and effortless. His showboating at 3mins is great, and his dance moves 5min45 are wonderful. He steals the show for me.

  • Clapton should have stayed this way: suits(maybe not pink)and long hair...classy

  • Still great

  • this is the hottest frickin clapton tune i ever heard!that black chick was smokin!!!

  • It's just great.Come on Slowhand,pink rules!

  • great Nathan...

  • Always!

  • Yes always. The happiest bass player ever!!Bless you!! Love the colours:pink, yellow...

  • Aww I was there that day, woo hoo the sun was shining and we had fun !!!! Clapton played well.

  • Eric Clapton & Nathan East are real cool professionals...I like the way they played

  • and of cause plus the other supporting musicians...

  • I have to tell you.. Can you hear the fantastic job of Raymond Cooper?!?

    His the best percussionist ever...

  • I know!! Hes awsome! So much humour as well, hes sooo coool...
