  • What about demi-pointe shoes?

  • how is this a "how to" video?

  • 096op765219lllxsaq34567890polkpoiuterwqasdfghjlkmnbvcxxzzml0

  • A split sole makes pointing easier but a full sole makes it better it's win win.

  • what does tutting mean and what part of the video did she tutted?

  • @99Balletlover in between words, when she makes that kind of spitty "mmk" noise.

  • she tutted 7 times and the student WANTED to put hr foot down

  • i wanna be in ballet im an 11 yr old girl and my name is briana i live in wheatfield indiana do you know where you can sign up for ballet and how much does it cost ??

  • @ceceliah1 I would google it, you should probably take this comment off because you don't want to give out where you live.

  • I have the same pointes with the teacher!!!

  • What about demi pointe shoes?

  • @Ballet101GISELLE It's not much of a difference between pointe shoes

  • Black is for boys where I dance does she consider anything!?

  • Haha, pink and white for boys ^^

  • Is it just me or does the canvas ballet shoes string look veryy tight. I watched how to sew pointe shoes and she took off her canvas and it had Criss cross lines in her skin.

  • @MissCyraSun Not how to sew shoes another vid

  • @lilbigplanet2 I hope u have fun with your point shoes

  • you forgot demi-pointeshoes..

  • im 17 and i am just starting on point and have only been taking ballet for 1 yr. its great that most of u are starting much younger. wish i had done that but better late than never :)

  • My daughter is 9 years old is she ready too get pointe shoe?? Because she really wants 1 and i don't wanna make her sad. Please comment back she has been doing ballet ever since she was in 1st Grade now she is in 4th Grade. Her ballet teacher said she was good in ballet. ;)

  • @sharshine9 generally you should wait until youre 11 so your ankles can fully develop. if she dances often(at least 3 times a week) then it may be an exception. I suggest talking to a dance teacher. I wouldn't want to see your little girl get hurt. I do take pointe and I started when I was 12 and also started flat ballet when I was 4. Hope this helps!

  • @NoahCyrus108 thank you for replying , I'll tell my daughter =)

  • @sharshine9 You're welcome:)

  • thanks for posting this, our daughter is starting dance this year :)

  • @oliviainyourpants i watched your video of when you went to get fitted and you seem completely sure of what you are talking about. :)

  • how long does it take to get point shoes cuz iv been doing it for 7 years but my coach says im not ready :(

  • @iluvao 7 years is a long time, but how old are you? At some places you have to start at a age (I think its dumb) and at some you can start when your ankles are strong, my friend started at 5 and i started at 12

  • @iluvao OMG! your 11 and im going to pointe shoes and im just 11 too .. and im just 2 years on ballet right now

  • it is easy to brake in point shoes

  • im on piont now and they hurt so bad!!!!!but i guess ill get used to them

  • The type of shoe that the student is wearing is terrible. I worked in a dance store for 2 years, fit shoes (including pointe shoes). The material used under her arch is a type of neoprene. Bloch makes a similar shoe, except the entire back half of the shoe (around the heel) is neoprene as well. Also, Leo's makes a split sole pointe shoe, but I've only fit 1 girl in it ever.

  • legal

  • I always wore split-sole canvas, and stopped ballet right as soon as I was about to start pointe. XP Had I of coninued, I probably would have gotten split-sole pointe shoes as well. I don't know why she says they're rare, I see them all the time as often as I see full-sole.

  • i wish i could try on point shoes and dance in them. i didn't stay in ballet for long to try on a pair of point shoes.

  • is like yous pantyhose lovee!

  • i want to be a ballerinaa!

  • @Lizzitarock

    im starting hopefully tomorrow :)

  • I dont how she says "Pointe shoes ALWAYS have a full sole" but then she says "you very RARELY see a split sole pointe shoe" contradiction....? -_-

  • @TaimaNaima lol, plus, there can't be split sole pointe shoe anyway, the dancer would have no support :P

  • @TaimaNaima she means it would be very hard to find a pointe shoe that is a split sole

  • Leather shoes, in my opinion, are just horrible. I can't tell what my kids are doing with their feet when they have leather on. I much rather have canvas, you can see the pointing of feet way better.

    Only my opinion. (o:

  • I've got leather and satin with full soles xx

  • I've got leather and satin x

  • heey how do you clean canvas ballet shoes? they get dirty reeallly easily and I'm struggling to keep them clean :( thaanks!

  • @TheChaiTeaLatte I just hand wash mine and put them on a few times while thy're drying so they don't shrink :)

  • everybody knew that...i thought you would show like type of pointe shoes

  • What tipe of pointe shoes are they?

  • Gosteei

  • i have split sole pointe shoes haha

  • she is telling things everyone knowwws and that pointe shoes are beautiful

  • umm.. tit i hate that sounds she makes

  • Do you have a website where you can buy this shoes?

    Love MinaMalfoy

  • It's weird how her canvas ballet slippers have rubber bands as criss crosses. ?????

  • @4everhogwarts I think it's elastic, but it's all bunched up instead of laying flat.

  • i wish she will just STOP tutting when she speaks!

  • I'm going to start taking a beginning ballet course in college and I'm a very big and hefty guy plus I got flat feet size 13 wide will that be a problem if I ever want to continue in possibly pointe ballet

  • @MrBellamore no it shouldn't be a problem, i was flat-footed too before i started now i have the best arches! but males do not go on pointe, ever they are always on the leather or canvas shoe

  • @MrBellamore

uhhhh guys don't go on pointe unless their in a special drag company!

  • is 19 late age to start learining ballet? im very fit though, and i do other dances.

  • @vieveangie no no, not at all, some very famous ballerinas started ballet at 20....

as long as ya practice a lot, you'll get to point ein no time....

  • @brocolims professionals??? really? i'd be interested in knowing who? :)

  • @Juventina1005 well, not really primas, and first of, its very rare to be a professional, and so far, i don't think late starters have any gone to principal, but ABT's misty copeland, melissa hayden, started fairly late....

  • @brocolims

!not trying to offend you at all,i appreciate everyone who encourages people of no matter what age to start ballet!u maybe raise false hopes though.i don't think it's possible to start a top-notch ballet career with 20 when u've never danced before.copeland started with 13 i think and yet that's pretty late.she was very talented that's why she made it this far.i don't know at what age hayden startet, but it was a completely different time, companies didn't require as much as today.

  • @Juventina1005 ok, maybe not a professional, but you can still do it for fun, and be EQUALLY happy doing it! :)

  • @brocolims

no doubt!! maybe even happier, some dancers i met during my apprenticeship were focussing too much on becoming technically the best but they forgot about what dancing with all of your heart's like. ;) happy dancing :)

  • @Juventina1005 you too!

PS: adult dancers doing ballet for hobbies, can go on pointe really fast! :)

  • @Juventina1005 im 16 & im staring next year (jan.) im not looking to start a carrer juss something new : ) I promised my mom that if i do it i have to do it tell im 18 (her buying EVERYTHING shoes clothes etc.)

  • Comment removed

  • @Juventina1005 you're such a self-righteous bitch

  • @cookiesonsteve

hahaha thank you very much!! :)

  • @Juventina1005

    You be trollin'...I hope. >.>

  • I'm not a dancer but love ballet. And I have a question to those who dance. :) I writing a book about a girl who also are a ballerina. And now I need to find a good type of Pointe shoes, a pair thats are good. (sorry bad english) what type of shoes do you have, what kind is best? (I can some shoes, like Bloch Serenade or so on). So, well. I need a name of a very good pointe model? Do you have any idea what pair she should have. She (in my book) is a very good dancer, really amazing. :)

  • @AmenRocks1 she should have russian pointes. they are amazing!

  • @juliabuffam Thanks for the answer. :) Does some pointes have any special names? Or just "russian pointes"? :D

  • @AmenRocks1 well the brand is called russian pointe and when you are talking about them you say russian pointes. haha :)

  • @alycat231 I always get the canves shoes, because I'm vegan, so I dont use leather...

  • i always get canvas cuz im vegan.

  • can soft shoes die?

  • @fjolinaa well they get HOLES in them...is that what you mean?

  • What shoes are the leather ones?

  • nice :)

  • random- but i have those same leather ballet shoes. lol

  • why do dancerz were panty hoes?

  • @HorseRedish Their tights, and they make their legs look alot better on stage, and with ballet, its just a tradition basically.
