  • If you have no graphics card you can't even see the screen. Unless your refering to a external one or something, all computers these days are built with either external gpus or internal ones, like those cheap intel 4500 thingies, or the ones with the gpu built directly into the cpu.

  • @helldrag0n47 iGPUs are not graphics cards. This is referring to a add-in card such as GT 520 or similar.

  • @scooter1151

I see, well that sorta answers my question.

  • hey guys it works without a graphic card if not BUY ONE!

    it is cheap

  • @Everyone: Verbal abuse against others isn't tolerated on my videos. Either keep it clean, or I just disable comments.

  • i cant get it to work man :'(

  • det står A problem occurred initializing directDraw. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run dxdiag how can i fix it? please answer me !!!

  • I looooo000000000o0o0o0ve you mann!!!111!!

  • magic iso wont uninstall

  • @halo64651 he said graphics card not GPU he probably has abuilt in one that is in the mother board and there not very good.

  • I don't know why it says: ''A problem occured initalizing DirectDraw. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG''. What does it mean?

  • It doesn't matter, hit "continue anyway".

Don't bother with the "safe mode" button, it doesn't do anything. My PC meets the minimum specs and it still says that.

  • @aleafonthewind117 i cant hit the continue anyway vutton

  • i tryed this on halo trial but it says my pc dosint meet the minimum requrements

  • @halo64651 You know, if you're going to make a comment, at least make sense. What do you mean you only need the graphic? Graphics card? Video? Hmm.. looks like you're an idiot, I'm not sure if I'll even help you.

  • when i try to play the game it gets stuck on the opening screen, any ideas?

  • so does that mean your running halo with virtual memory or just the CPU alone?

  • @PhilipsLS1300 You're using the memory and the CPU to emulate Hardware TnL. So, you're not just using one; you're using both. It's not very effective though.

  • i think halo is game?

  • thank you dudeet

  • whats the point playing a game with 1 fps xD

  • I did this, still says I need to run dxdiag(3d whatever) any solutions? I bought halo and I cant play it :C

  • Its not working for me PLEASE HELP!

  • just crack the bitch.

  • GUNS ARE WHITE o_O

  • "Without a graphics card."

You have a graphics card, reguardless. I think you mean without a 3D accelerator with T&L If you can see an image, you have a graphics card. No matter how crappy it is, it's still a graphics card. It might be integrated, it might be 2D-only (if your system is 15 years old) but it's still a graphics card.

  • @Draknfyre Integrated graphics chips and graphics 'cards' (which are generalized as cards that use a PCI, PCI-E or AGP slot) are completely different. Graphics cards are what support TnL by default (in most cases) are not built inside of most computers, as they are not -integrated- in the motherboard. Hence why I said graphics -card-, as they are external graphics adapters. Systems 15 years ago did not have the ability for VESA even, and no graphics chips existed.

  • @Draknfyre

    You are misinterpreting the definition.

If it's an external card that's installed in the system, it's a graphics card. If it's an integrated chip, it's a chipset. To say "I don't have a graphics card" when you mean 3D accelerator, it's like saying you have a car but not an automobile.

You can very well have a 3D accelerator WITHOUT hardware T&L support. Check out any 3dfx Voodoo card. Having T&L support does not define "graphics card."

  • And I think ATI, and many other manufacturers would take offense at you saying "graphic chips didn't exist 15 years ago."

Just because what you define as a "video card", i.e. a 3D accelerator with hardware T&L support didn't exist 15 years ago, doesn't mean "graphics cards" or "graphics chips" didn't exist.

If you see an image on the screen, there is something there processing the graphics. That's called a graphics chip or card. You don't have analog image processing on computers.

  • @Draknfyre

Good point there, but either way, the point remains that I am talking about 3D Accelerating Graphics -Cards-, not built-in 3D Accelerators like Intel GMAs. Most of those do not support TnL, hence why it is 'without a graphics card'.

  • @scooter1151 Yes, most people don't know the difference, but by keep saying "without a graphics card", you perpuate that ignorance. I have seen people say "I don't have a graphics card", and think they didn't have a video card or chipset at all. And while almost all integrated stuff is trash, most (except some modern Intel stuff) do have hardware T&L now. But a large amount of people still try to game on 5 year old laptops and not understand why it sucks.

  • @Draknfyre Also, to make it clear, most people do not understand the difference. When they get that error, they assume they don't have a graphics card. If you put "3D Accelerator", most people wouldn't understand. Simply, when you state "Without a graphics card", it also just makes it easier to understand for some people, although it is misleading. I mean, are you going to expect a 13 year old to know the difference between chipset and card? Or Accelerator compared to TnL support?

  • i cant find my cd image thing. where should it be?

  • @Viper900100 Your CD Image is the downloaded file for the game. You can't find it inside a Halo installation disk, because the disk image is the virtual version of the CD. If you didn't download a .iso, you don't have the file.

  • Comment removed

  • mine sais it cannot copy the file when i hit run

  • in the title the halo is missing!!! and when I play my game all the guys and the weapons are missing too!

  • cool! vurtial T&L software! i need this! My grpahics card dosnt have it, and it's the only component im missing inorder to play combat arms

  • just d/l a no cd exe dam noobs

  • Thanks.......dude

i have prince of persia sands of time and its works great.............

  • i need directdraw. o_O

  • does it have ground detail and all that stuff?

  • @dogking708 It is depending on the specifications of your computer. The better the processor/RAM the more easily you will be able to emulate TnL. However, a lower-end computer without all those things will not be able to handle the emulation well enough to have ground detail.

For ground detail, you want to have at least a Dual Core Duo or an AMD Athlon64.

  • its still not working. HALO is not starting it gives error graphics card error

  • Are you sure you followed everything? You have to enable 'TnL Caps' for it to be activated, remember.

  • yes bro. i enabled it but its still not working.

  • is there is any patch or any other thing to run this game ? please help.

  • Unfortunately, there is no patch for the emulator, and it is supposed to work as it is. Perhaps try enabling a few other things. What are the specifications of your computer?

  • 1.7 ghz, 256 mb ram and 32 mb trident graphics card.

  • Your computer would barely be able to handle Halo no matter what, unfortunately, even with an okay graphics card. Your processor and RAM are what's doing that to you.

Unfortunately, your computer will most likely be unable to handle Halo- no matter what. Usually, for this emulator, you need at least a 2.6GHz processor and about 1GB of RAM, which is quite low nowadays.

It's not too expensive to upgrade to that.

  • halo is running on my other pc very smoothly. my other pc specification are 2.8 ghz, 2gb ram and 512 ati radeon hd graphics card.

  • There's a reason for that- it has a decent graphics card and processor ALONG with RAM to do it. Your other computer is a computer made for games like Tachyon: The Fringe or perhaps StarCraft.

  • brother can you suggest me some games which are compatible with my 1.7 ghz pc.

  • wow and my graphics are still worse!

  • Like I said... If you are going to play this, I still recommend just getting a graphics card.

  • does it have a virus?

  • Well, if it had a virus, I would not be using it or posting it on YouTube. So no, it does not have a virus.

  • i guess norton is stupid XD

  • @Robloxian182 Norton has been known to return false positives on several different programs.

  • My Laptop is a Latitude C600 with a Pentium 3. The video card is some wacked up Mobility 128 AGP 2x.

  • There is nearly no chance of you running Halo on your computer. Let alone any game with TnL graphics. Sorry, but if you're going to use it, you are really going to have to get a new computer.

  • Yea your right. I have that laptop just for fun.

  • I do have a suggestion for you though. If you have any experience with partition or anything of the such, you should try to get yourself a good copy of Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty package.

That is a Linux distribution that can run quite well on anything. However, for a lower-end laptop such as your's, I would actually recommend the older version, 8.10. They are both great for low-end computers with not much power.

Hope that helps you out with your experiences!

  • How did you read my mind... One of those same laptops (I have 2 of them) runs Ubuntu 9.04. I ordered a copy from the website for free...

  • Hahah', I just downloaded it and burned it with MagicISO. Insanely great system, and I'm currently helping someone. I'm probably going to put it on there since the thing only have 350MB of DDR 300MHz.

  • Yes. Ubuntu is quite too. The only thing is that it doesn't completely support my laptop wireless USB.

  • If you haven't done so already, you should get yourself the newer version of Ubuntu (9.10). Also, if you can't get support automatically for your wireless USB, look online for some help; there's always a way to do it.

  • my graphics card is primitive.(it can barely play N64 ROMS.)

  • As far as I know, that should do it 'okay'. This is quite intensive on your CPU and with that processor, it will put a bit of strain on it. You'll have to play at lowest graphics, and there WILL be some glitches no matter what. Other than that, it should work okay.

Another note, I'm not sure if this program works on 64 bit systems. Your processor does support 32-bit, however I'm not sure if you're using it. Good luck! - Sc00t3r

  • LOL i can't see master chief or weapons also isnt this almost like turning your cpu into graphics card

  • Not exactly. A GPU (Graphics PROCESSING Unit) is basically just a secondary processor dedicated solely to processing graphics. 3dAnalyze is just a program that does exactly what the software (firmware) on your GPU does; calculates everything required to create more advanced graphics such as TnL. If you are not satisfied with what it does, get a graphics card. That is what I recommend. This is not an efficient way to do it.

I just got a new ATI Radeon 5850. Try getting that. It would help you.

  • is a 2394 MHZ processor fast enough to run 3d analyze or are you talking about 3 to 4000 MHZ processors.

  • There is a slight chance you'll be able to play Halo efficiently with a 2.3GHz processor. However, your FSB may only be approximately 600MHz or so; and that is what counts. I was using an Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz processor when I used this program, along with 4GB of RAM, and it worked actually pretty well.

Of course, you'll need your graphics down pretty low, but at least it will work.

Of course, I recommend to you a Nvidia 9500 or 9800 GT. Starting at $80 CAD.

  • yea i actually happen to have a little bit of ram 2 GB nothing compared to gaming computers but a heck of a lot better that none at all. i am not a gamer at all i just like to have a smooth running computer. That all

  • hi can i run halo with these settings?:amd athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual core processor 5200+ 2.60ghz

    2gigs of ram

    and vista installed? thanks

  • That is actually pretty likely. Of course, like with nearly anyone, you won't be able to go very high with the graphics. And of course, they WILL glitch out quiet often (such as when you use the flashlight). That processor isn't that bad, but I will honestly say it is not the best.

Best of luck to you, it should work out.

  • Pretty dumb, can't people read the system requirements before asking such a dumb question yet alone any new computer you buy on the market these days will run Halo on max settings because it is such an old game.

  • hey my old laptop will not even run halo. even with 3danalyze. Can you help me with that?

  • Buy a new laptop The Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708/Q706

  • Never, ever, get a laptop for gaming. It's not worth it in my opinion. Also, if you are going to get a laptop like that, build one yourself. It's not work spending the $2000 on a pre-made one for gaming.

  • I'm really sorry for this month late response.

I am not sure what your laptop has. Please post me some specs and I will try my best to help you out with getting it to work. Keep in mind, there is a great chance your laptop will be incapable of running it, even with that program. Laptops have very weak processors in general.

  • UGH!!!! i have a REALLY shitty graphics card and i thought this would make the graphics better in halo! and it didn't do anything! WTF!

  • I'm quite sorry, but I did say you 'are' better getting off a better graphics card. You need a really good CPU and a bit of RAM to be able to run TnL manually on your computer, instead of a GPU. If you want good graphics, you're going to have to get a graphics card capable of doing it. 3DAnalyze is NOT a replacement for good graphics cards unless you have a great computer, at which point you would already have a good GPU.

  • On my computer I use a standard vga graphics adapter. I enable the settings you specified and just get an error message saying to enable 3d acceleration. I also noticed that before I upgraded to Windows Vista Home Basic it used to work. What can I do to fix this problem.

  • As I recall, 3D acceleration is a software attachment to most Intel graphics adapters. Most likely, your graphics card has a 3D acceleration program that is required to be active before you can use it.

My advice would be to figure out what card you have, go to the site where you can download the drivers for it, and reinstall the drivers. After doing that, try running the program again. If you still cannot use it and it still says to activate it, contact the company for better help.

  • halo doesnt work max Graphics for me but i have more than System Requirements like i have more RAM 2GHz can you helpp me

  • Cool, a graphic card emulator :|

You know if you update your Halo, it does not need the CD anyway don't you?

  • Yes, I do. Hence why it says "With or without the CD" in my description. Always good to read that first. I know I said it is better to get the CD, but I usually just say those kinds of things so that you're not exactly ripping off the company? And no, a graphics card emulator isn't ripping anyone off, so no point in saying anything about that if you're going to.

  • I said that as you said about using virtual CDs to run the game (can be explained away with downloading the ISO)

I always do read the video info.

I was not saying it was ripping anyone off, nor was I saying the graphic card emulator was either, just never heard of the idea until now lol

  • Oh, I know. I was just stating that stuff since I thought it to be a good idea. So I wasn't saying that you were saying anything about ripping someone off. Wasn't too clear there. Sorry.

  • will this work with half life 2?

  • There is a chance. I have never tried using it with Half Life 2. The reason for this is because usually, you require Steam for Half Life 2, and 3DAnalyze requires you to run the game WITHOUT an engine.

Also, as I recall, Half-Life 2 does not require T&L Hardware. I used to run it on my computer before I got my graphics card working, although it didn`t work VERY well. It was better than nothing, though.

  • Thx dude! Can this be a replacement for a crappy video card?

  • It can be. It depends on how much RAM that you have. Although the program does not 'effectively' emulate TnL, it provides enough of it that you can run Halo on low settings. Either way, it works and it's not a bad way to use Halo.

So, in other words it will work to replace it, however you are still better off getting a better card at some other point. So, this would work as a replacement for now.
