  • I understand what this song is about, but why are there endless pics of white peoples' ships in the video? Since this is a song in 'olelo Hawai'i, why not show some pics of wa'a or wa'a kaulua instead? A lot better to show and exemplify Hawaiian pride if you ask me.

  • seitdem ich das in nem massage video gehört habe kann ich davon garnicht genug bekommen ;o) das geht hier nur rauf und runter bei mir

  • I love the song and the hula photos. But photos of the Hūkūle‘a or Makali‘i, or some other Hawaiian voyaging canoes would have been more appropriate to the video than three masted haole ships.

  • @Kailoa36 ..." some other Hawaiian voyaging canoes would have been more appropriate to the video than three masted haole ships." Not true

"For the one-masted ship is my affection

The one skilled at sailing o'er the sea.

The front dips down and sideways, the stern goes up,

Hold on firmly to the railings!

The engorged sails flutter in my face,

    Filled by the wind.

The mast stands rigid, pointing heavenward,

Pole made slick by the seaspray." Translation of the 1st 2 verses.

  • Beautyful!! Next year I hope to be on vacation to Hawaii and I hope to meat a lot of Hawaiian people en maybe to make friends.

  • aloha deadlyfriendship, beatiful song have you translation of the song?

  • @zhengdao12 For the one-masted ship is my affection The one skilled at sailing o'er the sea. The front dips down and sideways, the stern goes up, Hold on firmly to the railings! The engorged sails flutter in my face, Filled by the wind. The mast stands rigid, pointing heavenward, Pole made slick by the seaspray. The deck below creaks and squeaks, The boom tilts backwards. The prows' tip splashes in the rocking surges,
  • @zhengdao12 Until deafened by the slapping water against the hull.

    Tell the refrain

    For the beloved one-masted ship.

    Tell the story again

Of the one skilled at sailing over the sea

  • @DeadlyFriendship You are supposed to use macrons for Hawaiian, not umlauts.
