i'm a bit confused about your absolute truth. the example of killing your wife. Are you really claiming that killing your wife under any circumstances is wrong any time any where? What if your crazy wife has a gun to your daughter's head? Wouldn't it be better to kill her than let her kill your daugher?

In the culture I grew up with it was ok but here in the states it isn't. What about sleeping with another man's wife? There are tribes in Africa where if a man is not home another man can come in and sleep with his wife. Morality comes from the Social Contract not from god.

Beating. Hitting. Black and Blue. Portugal. It's not considered child abuse it's just discipline. And these are christians. So it begs me to ask. If people get there morality from god, why would two different christians have two different sets of what is moral? As for the bible, how do you explain, let's say, American indians 5,000 years ago who never heard of the bible. Where did they get there morality?
