the pilot ejected lol but that sucks that he crashed the plane thinking about buying the me109 i love to control the landing gears were you can have them out if you want to or you can hide them when flying at the same time so cool
@Aircraftfreak155 hmm...don't know if that 10 will work. Probably a very low KV and the stock motor for the stryker is 1800kv. Need at least that, and a motor that can take 40 amps or more, same with the esc.
20 bucks is just a bare body, no fins, hatches, servos motor mount etc. when you crash you can move all that stuff over, but the first one you might as well just get a stock one to start
@Aircraftfreak155 really should get a stock one first, then when you've had good flights with thtat, and crashed it a few times, you can get the align motor for it, and a new esc.
The align is a 3700kv motor they use for helis, a 6X4 sport apc prop,. and you'll need a 54 or 60amp esc to power it . Any less of an esc and you'll burn out the esc. Also you need to use 25C or higher 3cells to use that combo.
@Aircraftfreak155 Habu would be an awesome first jet. I'd maybe want to have some Stryker or some other type of pusher stick time under my belt, but it's pretty forgiving. It can also be very fast and agile too if you let it get away from you
@warderseeker i do have time on a rc foam fighter f-117 build i did my self its a fun plane to fly look on my vids its the only one i have up at the time.
@Aircraftfreak155 I saw that you had that. It will help a bit, but the foam fighter plane is very light and wont fly a lot like the Habu really. I"d probably still get a Stryker, as they are such a great flyilng plane as well, and easy to fix. New body costs 22 bucks LOL
the super decathon guy should not have put in full elavator when he first stalled it he shud have let it dive and pick up speed and pull up l8r andhave full throttle on the way down and he wud have been alright.... def not an expert flyer
@MegaFondue overall best electric plane period?? Hard to say. Best trainer is a Supercub, best EDF has to be the Habu, best 48" 3D plane, probably the Precision Aerobatics Extra 260. I've flown all of these and they definately have been good flyers
That's a nice alum hatch cover on that stryker! Nice craftsmanship! Also Dave did a nice job on those retracts on the BF 109...to bad about the landing! What caused the super D to go down? Too bad...looked like a nice plane!
well since i subscribe to your videos and im on youtube.. your videos keep popping up.. and i keep loving them!! and once again you guys fly pretty good up there (for crashing so much!!haha).. you know.. i dont think ive ever rated one of your videos under 5.. ill let you know if you ever turn out a 4 (hahaha!!)
Damn. I am a fan of the Decathlon, Citavrias etc. Unfortunate to see that go in, but I could see it coming (same as you). Once you have done this you realise how to get out of it and hopefully never do it again - airspeed is king.
@tjtg ya too bad about the Dec, but should fly again. You can see the rudder hard over to roll him, and then all the elevator all the way down, too bad. Done it with the turbine couple times now too, just level the wings, no elevator
Really cool video, lots of stuff happening... Really sorry for the Decathlon, beautiful plane, to bad... but when you panic, usually that's what you do... up elevator.
What happened to the ME109? It seems it also stalled?
The habu inverted was really cool, the wings were rocking like it was about to stall, it takes skills ;-)
@tw8e60 thanks a lot, Habu just not meant for that type of harrier stuff LOL but keeping it from stalling not that bad. The 109 it just had so much damage from before, not flying well, then the wheel hit that grass and that's it
@rockonmyfriend little hard to say, I seen you takeoff with the trainer, that seemed decent. As long as you didn't turn it too slow, or try too much speed, you'd be ok. But it will stall at low speeds in corners, and will go close to 100mph. Try some of the EDF's on sims if you can first, and a Stryker would be the best training ever for one. Get a Stryker anyways, they are the best
What's great about Stryker's is you can buy the complete foam kit from a Hobbystore for maybe $60 and then put your own gear on them. Low investment so I agree this is a good way to go.
Yikes.. couple bad ones there. Man the 109 in slow mo sure has some wing flex... never noticed that much before. Just a bit of a stall and landing too steep for the 109?
that 109 wing had been damaged before, or by the retract installs, the cf tube was in the way. but it wasn't holding properly, sorta was bent up in flight big time LOL Ya the landing was probably steep cuz the wing was so bad, and the wheel hit that grass first, + power 25 motor= OOPS
I really like this vid mate and the HABU inverted then goes into a knife edge(2.06) that was poetry in motion in my book, did that bf-109g wings look like they were bending up big time before it had its prang?? but i suppose it could of been because of the foam cut out for the retracts,oh yeah one more thing was that bigfoot in the back ground at 1.52 lol 5*
@startazz It was BIGFOOT LOL no just another park user, there are trails down behind the bluff we fly on. The 109 wing was actually busted from before, but we think the fix gave way during the flight too, so it was up at an angle haha no wonder he had problems bringing her in
good thing the ME and Decatlon can be fixed again. Love the Habu part a lot, this baby flies slow really well, also nice knife edges, definitely on my wishlist.
@moolikeacow2 thanks man. Habu flies great at low speeds, that's why I don't mind the bigger price on it. ya the ME and Decathalon hurt a bit, but both are fixable.
Wow, First of all, why the nose dive into the ground? Did he lose connection? I think the thing that makes your videos so nice other than thousands of dollars worth of rc is the backdrop of blue skies and pine trees. Very nice. Just got the Habu. Cant wait to fly her. Happy flying. J
@ssiinniisstteerr Take a close look, and you'll see the rudder roll him over, he meant to do that, but he was quite low at the time, so he pulled hard up on the elevator. This is a common mistake on a stalled plane. If you are going too slow, and pull up on the elevator, it will just continue to stall. When this happens, let the plane dive a little longer, and pull up as slowly as you can, that way it won't stall the plane more. This don't happen as much with foamies, lighter wing loading
@youtwoba Really tough to decide on whether to put E-flite retracts on it or not, bit of weight but not too bad I guess. Need some hardwood in there to fasten em too
the pilot ejected lol but that sucks that he crashed the plane thinking about buying the me109 i love to control the landing gears were you can have them out if you want to or you can hide them when flying at the same time so cool

I have only done one so far. It totaled my plane though, :(
