@dukeofearlbanjo Thanks for the clarification. After playing for 40 years, winning 2 National Championships, and touring in Nashville for the last 15+ years making a shit load of money, I was hoping someone like you would come along to clarify what this style is that I've mastered. Thank You. :)

@capitalismforme are there any videos of your playing? In my experience, anyone who says they have mastered anything is completely delusional. You actually won THE national championship in Weiser? Were you Grand Champion or did you win best costume? You and I both know that there are several "national" championships across the county but the only official one is the Grand National Champion at Weiser. Not to mention, even Weiser has more than one National Champion.

@dukeofearlbanjo tons of videos of me playing. I have one of me screwing off on an instrument I rarely, if ever, have time to play. Check out my channel. Tons of mistakes on that one that you can practice. There's no other national championship in my opinion other than weiser.

@dukeofearlbanjo going back to you original comment, what has progressed about this particular style of fiddling in the last 20 years? I'm a friend of Byron Berline's and I got to see Herman Johnson play close up a few times. I'm from Oklahoma, man. I know a lot about Texas contest fiddle style although I choose to play music with more soul like bluegrass and old time music. To me, all the greats could play the same stuff they played 30 -40 years ago and still contend.

@dukeofearlbanjo I back it up 3 nights per week, 25,000 people per night :) I have no desire or interest in appeasing a hack such as yourself. As I said, I have more intricacy in an instrument I barely play (the guitar), than you have on your primary instrument on your best day. You'll get no more from me. If I was as fat and zit faced as you, I'd be angry at life too.
