what framerate do you set camtasia to to record this? It lags for me when I do zsnes.

I set it at 60 fps, which is the framerate the game runs at.

I think it runs at 60 frames per second as well, but just keep it set at 60 frames per second. It will still capture games at 30 fps (I think) as long as you set Camtasia to record at 30 fps or higher.

Maybe your computer isn't powerful enough... how powerful is your computer's processor, and how much RAM does it have?

actually i had the same problem with the audio. BUT i found a way to get around it. just plug in a special cord jack (has a 3.5mm head on each side -- what headphones jacks are plugged into) into the 'line in' jack on your comp on one side, then the other plug into the 'speaker' jack. that should help :D

Um... I'm not sure what the Line In jack looks like, and I only have the microphone and audio jacks on the front side of my computer. Very interesting idea, I'd love to try it, though! What is this "special jack" that you speak of, though? =O

the 'line in' jack is in the back of your computer xD. on mine it has three holes: one coloured pink(/red), blue, and green. the green is for the speakers and the blue for the 'line in'. the 'Special Cord' i was talking about is.. uhh.. (not good explaining sometimes) you know at the end of a headphone plug? those jacks? this cord has one of those jacks on each side. (i sometimes use it to play my MP3 player on my stereo :D) but you set camtasia to the 'line in' feature adn plug one end of the -

'special cord' in the green hole, then the other in the blue hole (so it directs the speaker sound strait to 'line in') hope this helps ;D (had to put this in two parts because i ran out of space :S)

Ok... I'm not sure how exactly it works, but do you connect the headset to the "special cord" as well? What exactly is this special cord anyways?

Try recording sound, then playing the recorded copy with sound and add commentary at the same time, its quite a bit of work, but it will be worth it...
