Look at the PS3, it's running dual 7800 GTX's...now how old is that??? 4 or 5 years, and its still running, so you could have built a rig back then and still be good today with the other proper hardware, its all preference

That was 5.5 years ago, this generation is supposed to last at least another year since Nintendo won't release the Wii 2 until the following fiscal year. The 720 / PS4 will take even longer than that. Thus this generation will be 6.5 years at the shortest. I don't see the difference in how often we upgrade.

The hardware can last as long as any console if you know what you're doing. Oh, btw, nobody games on a mac, so stfu dumbass, consoles will still end up costing more on average for most people.

I think it's a great idea and I REALLY hope it works out. But yeah like the others said the things that might let it down would be buggy hit contacts/input latency (Aliens Vs Predator was awful for this), movement physics, and lack of depth (excuse the pun) to the game modes. I hope the treasure always spawns at random locations too otherwise the sharks will just sit and lay eggs on the same spots when they get familiar with the maps.
