  • 17 people ain't got money.

  • I cry. Every time. X)

  • I used to love this song when the wife and I were trying to have a child. God's will it never happened and she left. I hate this song now.

  • @beardovonpork Man, that's the saddest thing I've heard in a long time. If that really did happen, I'm sorry. I will say however, the irony is that I read your comment on Valentine's Day. Hope you found a new love brother.

  • @beardovonpork Why don't you hate God instead ?

  • tell me everything is gonna be alright

  • @irishace11 yes, it is quite a happy song.

  • nice..

  • What great memories this brings back! Stands the test of time!chacka69 Bless U 4 2012!!!

  • When I was young and never thought this song will be dedicated to me now .. thank you honey, I am so inlove with you . ever since . muuaah! Keep the love burnin' everyone :)

  • better than anne murray's version here.

  • @atz123ify Puh-leeze...Kenny is the man. No disrespect to Anne Murray but this is a power ballad, actually.

  • 0:06 I just recently purchased that vinyl record album at my lovely little local goodwill:) best 2 bucks i ever spent

  • 13 people ain't got money

  • @NoLoudTalking Kenny Loggins wrote the song for his brother Danny in 1970 when Danny became a father. Jim Messina sang the vocal background.

  • When my husband and I found out we were having a boy, he sang this song to my belly. We named our son Danny.

  • Well done with the photos!

  • I don't care for country at all but damn I love this song. And lemme tell you something, the ladies love this when i play it on guitar lol. THanks Kenny.

  • @corning1 Um... This song isn't country, none of Kenny Loggins' songs are country. Either way, amazing song.

  • @moose0drool It sure sounds country to me.

  • 11 people think Danny is a Douche

  • Tell me "everything is gonna be alright" =D'

  • Never got high, oh was a sorry guy.

  • The 70s how great they were

  • Kenny wrote this song for his Brother Danny

  • @irishace11 You're gay.

  • @irishace11 whatever man, this guy got more pussy making "gay songs" than your computer warrior ass would get in a lifetime

  • @paulinotou Read the book he wrote all about sex with his wife, omg, horrible, check your ammo before you shoot, he turned into a real loser, you know nothing about him.

  • Respond to this video... But I love House at Pooh Corner.

  • @paulinotou me think'th thou doth protest too much. Little worried about your own sexuality there pal. haven't yet come out of the closet?

  • @nutriexpert whos worried, im comfortable enough with my sexuality to listen to good songs no matter how femenate it is. atleast im not going around calling people gay, thats kinda a sign someone is worried about their sexuality. something dumb like calling people gay on youtube makes them feel manlier.

  • @irishace11 Well back to your rap "songs" then.....buh--bye.

  • There are only two kinds of music

Good and bad, that is. That statement has been variously attributed to Richard Strauss, Duke Ellington, and probably numerous other musical figures, but it doesn't matter who said it first -- the important thing is that it's true.

  • @kilo54 No actually. Kenny wrote the song for his brother Danny who was expecting a son. This was recorded in 1971. Anne Murray's version was recorded in 1972. Look it up if you want, their both great versions, but this is Kenny's song.

  • @kilo54 Here is a quote from Songfacts:

"Although Anne Murray made it famous in 1973, taking the song to #7 in the US, this is more associated with Kenny Loggins, who wrote the song for his brother's son Colin while in high school along with "House at Pooh Corner."

  • @catman916 WUT Kenny Loggins wrote this in high school? PRODIGY

  • @kilo54 No, no, no...Ann Murray did not write this...Kenny Loggins did!!!!!!

  • @kilo54 sorry mate. Kenny wrote this for his brother's first child. Ann Murray did a good cover of it and made it big.

  • @kilo54

No this was written by Kenny Loggins. He wrote it about or for his brother.

  • @kilo54 there's a bunch of songs that were never famous until they were covered. i.e. proud mary by ccr got super famous once tina & ike turner covered it.

  • "Even though we ain't got money, we still got our gold card, Honey..." :-)

  • Drama Drama Drama

  • People arguing whether this is a country song or not. WTF? Do you like the song? Keep listening. If you don't don't listen. Oh, my God that's not a pancake it's a flapjack. Morons!

  • Guys... This may not be a country artist, this is a country song. If dimmu borgir sang baby, it would be pop. Country is the best genre of music ever. Its real emotion. Deal with it.

  • turn up the volume and belt it out

  • I'm Only 13 And Peoplee Findd It Shockinqq Thaat I Listen To Sonq's Likee Thiss : P

  • @xXoUtWiThMyHeArTxX I find it shocking when people type the way you do lol

  • @AliviaaivilA Most Do : D

  • I remember when my dad would always listen to this :D

  • This isn't country, but it's great :)

  • Country music??? How is this country music? Acoustic guitar and violins doesn't make it country.

  • Hmmm...what happened to jaredbozich87? I liked him better.

  • for all you retards out there this is not country music and kenny loggins is not a country singer/song writer just because he has an acoustic guitar doesnt mean its country.. you simpletons

  • Now im not a big fan of country but i do appreciate a work of art when i hear it.

  • @TheTrinidadrodrig this isnt country dude..

  • one of the best country songs that i've heard so far

  • Like this if Me First & The Gimme Gimmes wee the first to play this for you :-)

  • Simply one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Anne Murray also does justice to the song.

  • And also to the haters where did you originally hear the song? Did it magically pop into your head ... No you had it advertised to you. Don't be mad that a new generation still likes this song. You should be happy. I know I am. I fyckin hate logins but love this song.

  • @ the two commenters below me nice engrish and raising hope is a show. I hated it but then they put it on Netflix and it grew on me because I gave it a chance. I recommend doing the same.

  • One of my hubby's favorate song.....After I heard the song I started liked, and its favorate song now....

  • everything is going to be alright

  • cutest song ever :) always been one of my favorites

  • Saturday Night Live <3

  • @rye0toast this is totally country. Just because its a slower country song that doesn't have lyrics involving a pick up truck doesn't qualify it as folk.

  • After my dad passed away and my mom found herself widowed at 30 and trying to figure out what to do with the rest of her life, she'd play this song a lot for me and my brother (aged 9 and 7 at the time). And it's funny how everything did turn out all right. I know my dad's ghost loved us and protected us as much in death as the man did in life.

  • @SimuLord love your post

  • See, this is an example of GOOD country music.

  • @Honeydew7396 this is NOT country.... folk, I'll give you, but NOT country

  • Always loved this song. Did a cover of it on my channel.

  • It reminds me of car rides with the p's , Ah the 70's GREAT TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember this song on the wall of my 9th grade class wall it was with Daniel by Elton John and being a Daniel it was a life effecting experience. 1972 great music!@

  • this song makes me so happy i belong to that era not this idiotic one :( I always sing this song:) my happy song!also simon and garfunkel:)

  • Kenny Loggins and Anne Murray made a memorable and endearing song for all time...both in their own right....beautiful lyrics and melody....~ Daniel

  • It never gets better than the folks who wrote it singing it. But, yeah, Murray's versions pretty good too.

  • I had 3 sons...all grown now.My youngest is having his first child,a boy,and I have dedicated it to him!!! He may even name him Danny!!!

  • Wait for me, Abby Berstein! Wait for me, my dove!

  • Omg <3. I heard this song on the radio the other day, wow.. beautiful ;) <3. I was born in 92' and honestly, music like this truly brings joy to my heart.

  • ya know... I've been listening to the music of my parent's generation since I can remember from the beatles to otis redding to loggins, and let me say that this song describes my wonderful woman Kateley and myself. I love her, she loves me, and that's what matters.

  • Such gorgeous reverb, they put it on thick, but it works, I wonder what its from.

  • i think Keith Urban should cover this song...just an opinion, dont be hatin, I just think his voice would sound nice as well with this song

  • i absolutly love this song

  • great song

  • im so in love with this song, <3 <3

  • thumbs up if SNL brought you here!

  • Man this is relaaaaaaaaaaxing.

  • This song is the reason my son is called Daniel x x x x

  • this song makes me want to be poor and have a baby

  • "Lady you want 5 bucks for a used kenny loggins record??"

  • my generation's treasure piece

  • This was my parents wedding song :)

  • I love this song but man is it cheesy

  • my dad met Danny Loggins in the studio..nice guy

  • I've had this song stuck in my head, but just the rhythm, couldnt remember the lyrics to save my life@!!!

  • Incredible song. My cousin was in this band. Larry Sims. He is still playing too.

  • Great love song ~

    Peace,

    V

  • @harr77 Kenny Loggins wrote it and Loggins & Messina recorded it first.

  • @catman916 Yeah my bad I looked it up after making this post and forgot about posting this.

  • @catman916 I hate to tell you, but before Loggins & Messina recorded this, Kenny Loggins recorded it in the late 60's with his earlier band, Gator Creek. It's on their Mercury Records album, Gator Creek. I thinks someone uploaded some of the songs on You Tube. This version, the one you uploaded, is by far the prettiest version. I guess he gets better with practice!

  • @harr77 Uh dooooy.

  • @randomartist01 You know if you read the comments you'll find your response was unnecessary.

  • @harr77 Huh!!!

  • this song came on the radio as i was driving away from the worst breakup of my life......... lets just say i was balling alone in my car for a good five minutes

  • dam just realized im getting old

  • It's got my name in so it's an instant like. :)

  • Reminds of my childhood more than any other song, Beautiful.

  • This reminds me of a being a poor, rural kid in Kansas in the 80's. we were happy, though. folks always played this record!

  • Nine people ain't got money.

  • Nice..

  • one of the besy lps I ever bought

  • I remember listening to this song when I was a little girl and falling in love with the sweet sounds of music way back then...

  • Takes me back to a less complicated time; when singers wrote their own songs and the lyrics were understandable.

  • I love this song....This version is awesome and I love the Anne Murray version also...

  • @luvtete I have uploadedit as well.

  • @luvtete fuck anne murray

  • This is such a sweet song... haha Ethan actually has good taste in music :p

  • This song made in any versions still sounds great because it's beautiful.

  • @melaniek159 its not that i didnt know this song before raising hope, its that that show made me look it and remember about it

  • @nikrite93 this song makes us forget the greed, and think about how simple and beautiful life really is.

  • this was my sisters wedding song <3

  • this is really a beautiful song! such thought out and meaningful lyrics

  • My family has a lot of history with this group... my dad has worked on several sony recordings and has a (faded) jim messina signature hanging in his office at madison ave.

  • Well im just glad i seen this show and it led me to finding this song. :)

  • ooh my goodness!!! YAY! I was raised listening to this song! and then kinda forgot about it for a while, then raising hope let me hear it again!!! :] never will i ever forget about this song!! lol

  • Fuck the show.........music is much more fulfilling. I never watched the damn show once!

  • What a beautiful song - heard it on Raising Hope and had to look it up. It makes me cry everytime I listen to it. Sign of a good song :-) xx

  • my first dance with my hubby. love the song 9-15-2006

  • Love this song so much...it's so incredibly romantic :D

  • Thumbs up if you like this song and you're a straight man living in the lower 48 states of America sometime in the second decade of the 21st century.

  • I named my son Danny because of this song..It was paying in the doctors office..I had heard it before, but just then it seemed right:)

  • Like this if Raising Hope made you look this up

  • @tbowles08 LOL! same here!! :O

    high 5!

  • @tbowles08 Thumbs up if you have no idea what "Raising Hope" is.

  • @randomartist01 Thumbs up whore.

  • @tbowles08 thats sad that you found this song because of a dumb tv show. this is a classic, so fuck you all who like this comment

  • @tbowles08 your a faggot if u heard this first on tv

  • @DaChicagoBear wow really? such a negative post on such a beautiful song. Who cares where people heard it as long as it brings them to the classics.

  • @mzondi1970 let me guess "raising hope" brought you here

  • @tbowles08 God, I was crying. I mean, I don't even have KIDS and I was sobbing!

  • @tbowles08 Dharma & Greg... :p

  • @Anarasha Oh my god, yes! I just sat and watched every episode from pilot to series finale. The other day this song was stuck in my head, though I hadnt heard it in years. Then, not even ten minutes ago, I watched the season finale of Dharma and Greg, and this song came on. It was like my mind knew. Everyone talks about how Raising Hope brought them to this song. Dharma and Greg brought me. I'm so glad I'm not alone :)

  • @Rentgrrrl92 To be honest with you, I don't even know what Raising Hope is - but I assume it's a TV show :p

  • @bamasoxtrumpeter93 Why is that important? Just sayin'.

  • The greatest gift a father can give his child is to love the mother....however difficult. Likewise the mother, however difficult. Life may suck, but children are a blessing. Hold them close, life is brief.

  • Wet Hot American Summer!!!

  • @ayayayhuet Have a Summah!

  • I heard this song yesterday and was thinking what a great song it would be to play when my daughter and her husband become parents. I came home and they came up for a visit...... Wait for it............... They told me they were expecting. How crazy is that !!!!

  • funny, I heard this song a billion times but never knew who sang it until I heard it randomly on PANDORA radio station lol :-)

No, I never watched the stupid TV show with the song on it. I don't even know what TV show it is.

But pandora is great after the first two months when you weed out crap songs and get a nice list of songs you enjoy hearing.

  • @hospitalbedpan1 Actually, the TV show (Raising Hope) is quite good, very clever & funny, and not typical of most of the trash on TV.. Shouldn't assume it's stupid because you haven't seen it. I'm not saying you have to like it, to like the song, but trashing something you haven't seen is just petty.

  • @screwyootube1 Ha... I see from the comments it's been used in several TV shows, so perhaps it's another one you're referring to... In any case, it's still not right to diss a TV show you haven't seen.

  • 8 people got money

  • @dettigers62025 Those bastards.
