Perhaps this has been mentioned before, but has anyone noticed that the gladius, which is largely a thrusting sword, is used as a slashing weapon throughout? Clearly Alexandra didn't complete her legionnaire training.
I may be getting this wrong, but it said in the gladius description that it was used for hacking and chopping at the enemy, but could also be used to stab.
I actually found the Xelo'thath shield to be more effective then the Mantorok one.

I've been thinking, and it's possible her grandfather had it stored somewhere to be mailed upon his death.... or something...

Well, if it kills the baddies, does it really matter if she stabs or whacks? Beside, it does have sharpened edges. 8Db
