Why would Oswald hide the gun on the 6th floor but leave the spent shells by the window? If the cops find the shells, they will surely find the gun. It seems to me that he either expected the gun to be removed before the cops found the shells or that somebody else put the gun there. Or, somebody else could have planted the shells. One of the shells had a dent which the FBI could only reproduce by loading an empty shell into the gun, implying that it had not been used to kill JFK.
I don't even think Jack Ruby fully new what he or Oswald were involved in until after the assassination and as the case unfolded and he was connected to the Mafia. And I have already said who I think (pretty sure) was the mastermind

Some reasons for the cover up were that an investigation would probably have exposed the "shocking" government-mob attempts to kill Castro (Ruby was part of that) and Lee Oswald's roles within the US intelligence apparatus and his FBI connections. Any evidence of a conspiracy rather than a "lone nut" would have destroyed Hoover's job at the FBI. The FBI fed the Warren commission information which ignored or minimized anything which went against the "lone nut" angle.
Oswald definitely did it and he obviously did it alone. No need to speculate any further. The Warren Commission did an excellent job on the investigation so that no questions or doubt could ever remain. Case closed.
Warren's remit, from Johnson himself, was to show a "lone nut" did it and the commission duly presented that foregone conclusion. We now know of the mounds of material pertaining to Oswald, Ruby, witnesses, Cuba, the mob etc which the commission either knew about and ignored, or didn't know about because it hidden from them by agencies like the FBI. There was so much that powerful people needed to keep from the American people to protect themselves that a cover up was essential.
What is particularly shocking is that the media had such access to a man who had not even been charged at that point. And psychological explanation of the motivation of conspiracy theorists is supposed to undo whatever evidence they put forth that suggests that LHO did not act alone or did not kill JFK. Only a fool or blind patriot would not be able to see that the CIA did this. Oswald was seen on the ground floor too soon after the shooting to have been on the 6th floor. Common sense shows that the Warren Report was a joke: All evidence or witnesses favorable to Oswald was not included in the Warren Report. Kennedy was going to disband the CIA. This would expose many CIA operatives to prosecution both in the US and abroad for everything from blackmail to assassination and war crimes.

Some reasons for the cover up were that an investigation would probably have exposed the "shocking" government-mob attempts to kill Castro (Ruby was part of that) and Lee Oswald's roles within the US intelligence apparatus and his FBI connections. Any evidence of a conspiracy rather than a "lone nut" would have destroyed Hoover's job at the FBI. The FBI fed the Warren commission information which ignored or minimized anything which went against the "lone nut" angle.

Warren's remit, from Johnson himself, was to show a "lone nut" did it and the commission duly presented that foregone conclusion. We now know of the mounds of material pertaining to Oswald, Ruby, witnesses, Cuba, the mob etc which the commission either knew about and ignored, or didn't know about because it hidden from them by agencies like the FBI. There was so much that powerful people needed to keep from the American people to protect themselves that a cover up was essential.

What an embarrassing circus! The Dallas police actually created sympathy for Oswald with this irresponsible free-for-all. Texas justice is more like Mexican justice, with their goofy hats and these southern, pasty white sheriffs parading Oswald around like a dead deer. After all these years, I would STILL be ashamed to be Texan after watching this crap. Imagine if Oswald had been black? They would have given Jack Ruby enough time to lynch Oswald. They would have found him rope!

What a fiasco. Who parades a suspect in front of the press? They had this guy tried and convicted in the press before he was shot so they could fool America. What a joke rollaz. JFK was NOT shot from the front. In the Zapruder film you can see the front of his explode, not the back. If he was shot from the front the BACK of his brain would have fallen out. Hmm. Let me see. Oswald tried to assaniate general walker in April 63. He fled the scene of the depository. 10 witnesses saw him kill Officer Tippet. Howard Brennan saw him shoot JFK. His godamm rifle was found in the building. What more evidence do you need people!
