Hey Joost's solo is also great!! They all have their personal ingenuity, so I think is useless to compare them. Just like comparing all the different voices in metal operas, they all have their feeling and skill!
"01011001" is the binary representation of the hexadecimal number 59 (i.e., 5 = "0101", 9 = "1001"), the decimal equivalent is the number 89, which is the ASCII code for the letter Y. 01011001's plot is tied to the "Planet Y" and "Forever of the Stars" storyline developed in the albums Into the Electric Castle, Universal Migrator and The Human Equation.
I have Derek Sherinians Korg Triton extreme signed by him used on tour by him for two years. Its for sale w/flight case if someone is interested in owning a piece of prog rock history. Message me.
So just wondering, did Arjen made the solos and these guys played them on the album? or did they had the change of makingn their on melodies? I think all of them are amazing, i've heard Derek for some time now being a Dream Theater fan but over all i think all of them are great they all have their unique sound.
Tomas Bodin is one of the most creative keyboard players of our time. You don't have to play fast to be expressive and impressive! Tomas is just astounding!
all great and nicely very different. Gotta love Joost's just because its so OTT... i wouldnt pick a keyboard solo for the apocalypse but it really works here :)
I like Derek sherinian better then these keyboardists but I liked Tomas bodins solo the best out of these because I felt the most emotion out of his I dunno its just my opinion lol
All were great! Each one gave me a different mood, each mood flowing to the next just like the music within each song and each song within each CD, each CD within the whole Circle of the one big story. Completely Awsome. Every CD and every individual performance came together.
If I have to pick one favourite (which I usually don't do), I think it'd have to be Waking dreams as well, both solos is brilliant, and Anneke and Jonas does a great job together!
JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST!

Well They're all great keyboard player.
Derek is has virtuosity and atility. And he knows well how to use pitch and slides.
Tomas's more melodical and the solos's very soft and clean. He uses some effects like delay.
Joost uses a one Clavia Nord lead 3. And he knows how to use it.He has versatility with the sounds.
For those who knows the others ayreons will see that:
Derek is like solos in Eletric Castle
Tomas is like solos in The Dream Sequencer
Joost is like solos in The Human Equation
