why is it every body only talks about radio shack...we only get sony philips and other big names please find a radio with big name because Im in IRELAND
i use the new 12-587 modle shack hack radio and there's very little stations i guess since i ask what am i holding up and i got a clear response saying "its green" i was holding a lime green flash light (what grade is that in evp) and yes I want to be a hunter of the paranormal
@MrJoshua12746 i think that radio shack might have discontinued the model that we use. we use a weather radio am/fm that we modified. then we connected it with a male to male 3.5 mm stereo cable to a generic set of iHome speakers that we found at Walmart.
He has some good points! the biggest problem I see is folks ask opened questions. You have got to have control answers and control questions. I use what I will call a "Contact System." 2 ghost boxes, a white noise generator and a open mic ran through a mixer. The voices are very scrambled harder to make out but the results are beyond question. I have been working with EVP for almost 30 years. My system in 10 times better than a stand alone ghost box.

thanx i was going to try that shack hack but now i wont because im from duluth and as you know alot of stations are out of here to what do you think would be good
if i may sugust using a box a little larger than radio sheilded with alumiun foil it may make it better for going thru your chanels better, and you still can use a small hole in box for your speaker cable too.
I disagree with you ,, I have some very successful EVP sessions with the franks box,, I have even had my name said on the box and others people in my group their names have been said also! This is how we verify if its the Radio or spirit talking we ask them to say our names.

I have a ghost box and it scans pretty fast. I don't consider it as a good tool either but it is very interesting. I decided not to use it anymore unless I am video taping it. I have had a lot of good response but not with a video. My K2 and EMF have corresponded with the ghost box at one time. I also remember getting ready for work and decided to turn it on while getting dressed. Some one said "she's naked!"!! I jumped over the bed to turn it off!! LMAO. No joke, seriously!
i've had success with my 469, but it does have to be on an AM band so you don't get music (or a lot of it). any budding investigator SHOULD try it out...it may not be for you, but you shouldn't just tell people not to do it....i do appreciate your vid and point of view but it should be an individual's decision to do so or not. i personally like it and it's just another device to include in your paranormal toolbox...happy hunting!!
