  • LOVE C.C. and this song is WOW ... This boy has something special and unique; can't define but will keep diggin` til the words come ~~~~~~o_o

    Keep on rockin` Clarence ~~~~~~~`o_o`

  • I saw him at DMB Caravan. I was wasted drunk by like 3pm and had to pass out somewhere. Next thing I knew I woke up to this song and ended up listening to the whole show lying on the floor, but it was one of the best shows I've ever heard

  • heard this in a restaurant on holiday, could only remember the lyrics "carry you" and "blue sky" here i am, found it, brilliant song.

  • @eflo9

    EVER

  • @eflo9 Serendipity

  • Couldn't believe when I finally watched him perform in London in February. He's the most down to earth guy I've ever met. After the show we waited for autographs and he invited me and 5-6 other people up to the bar to have drinks with him and the crew. I hugged him when I left and didn't wanna let go!!! I love you Clarence, you're incredible.

  • @lull2701

Lucky! I've always wanted to meet him. Is he really down-to-earth???

  • @TheVasilisas Yess, he is! He's incredibly down to earth, and just such a cool and chilled out guy! Even when we left he was like "bye sweetie, thanks for coming" - as though we'd been friends for years! I've never met an artist with such humbleness. Anytime you watch his concert just wait around for an hour or so after the show and he's always more than happy to chill and sign autographs! :)

  • @lull2701

Oh man, I'm so jealous. Lucky bastard!

  • they seriously are underrated

  • does anyone else see a skeleton playing a guitar in this pic?

  • sorry, but this is one of the best songs ever. really great, the lyrics can be applied many different ways. gives me the chills. watch the hbo documentary called hurricane waters if you want to be grateful for everything you have.

  • Saw him in Brussels Belgium awesomest an d deepest concert ever seen

  • Saw him Nashville last year. LOVE HIM !

  • THIS MAN CITIZEN COPE HAS A VIBE ABOUT HIM... THATS A BREATH OF GOOD FRESH AIR MUSIK. BUT ITS FOUND AGAIN. GOOD MUSIK THAT IS. PEACE

  • I'm so glad I found about about this guy. He's the greatest.

  • Well I only by accident discovered this guys talents; funny enough was watching a skateboarding video stopped watching, closed my eyes and listened to the song instead, totally mesmerised. Searched for his name and found much more,

very glad to have found him.

  • @MadameDeJaVu i discovered him in a similar way. i was watching "ghost town" movie, and this song came up when the main charecter sat down alone in the park, said " we live alone, we die alone" and hail began to come down...but it was a different song. lol/

    but i gt u.

  • why is there a thumbs down button you tube should get rid of it so the haters can fuck off and go hate themselves

  • @ravergurl420 agreed 100% mate

  • @ravergurl420 i just gave you a thumbs down

  • @ravergurl420 because if enough people thumbs down a video it can easily indicate to the content screeners that something is wrong with the video.

Also, it allows users who create content who are curious as to how their audience is perceiving their videos with a quick and easy reference for whether the video was a "success"

  • i love this song, ever since i saw the doc Trouble the Water

  • agree, I love this guy. if i die i wan't hurricane waters at my funeral......

  • i dont get why he didnt get blown up like crazy... his music is awesome... not many ppl know him

  • will someone tell me what that FREAKING static is in the background!??! I used to think it was just MY copy but its even on pandora!!

  • @justjayarrsteiner I believe it's a Synth effect; probably a sawtooth wave form or some sort of polysynth effetct. Really low frequency too like a bass line almost.

  • @justjayarrsteiner its bass synth dog, its fucking awesome

  • True.

  • seen him in allentown too that show was awesome

  • saw him last night in allentown, pa. best fucking show ever, such an amazing performance and great great show and crowd. if you get a chance to see him, def do it up.

  • This song has nothing to do with hurricanes to me.

  • Beautiful song!

  • me 2 it was bout hurricane katrina

  • Wow, how often do you see someone admit their mistake? Way to go, crotchrack.

  • Actually Richie Havens Performed this song long berfore citizen cope. But he tears this song up!!

  • Actually this song IS originally done by Citizen Cope, and released on his 2004 album "The Clarence Greenwood Recordings". Richie Havens covered it FOUR years later on his 2008 album, "Nobody Left To Crown". While Richie Havens version is ok, it pales in comparison to Cope's and was not recorded "long before". LOL

  • Haha Yeah I did some research after writing this and you are absolutely right. I just heard the Richie Havens version and assumed that he wrote it seeing how he has been around longer. I guess it's like when Johnny Cash covered that NIN song. But yeah Citizen Cope's ORIGINAL is way better than Haven's cover of the song.

  • @torc0569 burn

  • @crotchrack pwn'd

  • You don't know how long i've been looking 4 this song.. so beautiful and real.

  • 4sum reason i think he's talking bout God carrying them through, specially when he say trumpet sounds-that's Biblical if so he gets more kudos
