That's a friggen awesome work of art alright -- One of the ten most imaginative ratrods I've ever seen. Love the engineering finesse & style -- this is SO one-off, from the 8-into-3 horizontal exhaust megaphones, to the (backward-running?) Caddy flatty, remote location cooling system, to the 8 carbs, hand-tooled seat buckets, negative-lift hydraulics, vented drums, & on. It flows, man. BTW: What's the stink about airbags? How snobby can one get? They work great on semis too! Keep it ALIVE!

Hi Scottbirdsall, I don't think this is over the top at all. In fact because rat rods don't have any rules it inspires imagination. The hydraulic lift on the car may not be something esthetically pleasing, but I have a 1969 sedan deville that I would kill to have that setup on. That thing weighs a ton with another 5 tons sitting on it's back! The rods that are shining like new money are just plain boring. They are very close cousins with trailer queens. I'd rather have something down and dirty!
