So iwatched your other video and you talked about the target age group.Im 16 right now but when i go to the event next year i'll be 17..Would that be a good age for them?
I was wondering what type of monologue I should do. I was thinking of the first letter that Tibby wrote to Lena in the first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I mean there is one sware word in it but I mean that's just Tibby's personality. I was also wondering if its ok if its 40 seconds. B/c I can't cut down the monologue. I don't think it would make sense if I did. But your videos are awesome! Thanks for the help
It depends on what you feel your best is. Whichever genre you can convey most effectively. No, the monologue has to be 30 seconds or the agents will cut you off; the monologue is timed. And thank you! :)
I was wondering what kind of questions does the agents ask you before and after the callbacks.I also read there was this kind of test when youre on the "red carpet" and they want to know how you would respond to what they ask.
Most contestants do not get to talk to the agents before or after the callbacks UNLESS they get a callback. I don't know what questions the agents ask at the callbacks because I've never gotten one. Hope this helps!
hey..im going to proscout in November for my bday. im really excited! i kno that i have to bring 2 pics..what kinda pics did u take and like where did u get them done at?
but well i reallly want to be a model & im only fourteen. and you made me realize the whole age limit thing. do you think i should still go for it? i mean would i be wasting my time?
You should definitely still go for it! It's a good experience and it's good practice. If ProScout doesn't work out, send out headshots and resumes! Don't give up :)
I wouldn't say REALLY HARD, but yeah, it's difficult. I don't think people can really "TRY" to get an agent callback at the events. People just have to be themselves, and the agents see somewhat of people's personalities but a lot is based on looks and 'if you are what they're looking for' (although I don't understand how they know that without getting to know you first). Hope that helps! =]
hey ..i was also going to go to proscout about 2 years ago or so but decided not to. Im now 18 and things are really looking good for me. im in talks with some agencies and managements..so of them are HUGE names that rep some people in twilight and cw shows. (not gonna get specific) but really its all based on looks sadly. Confidence and feeling good and walking with confidence is key to the industry..talent does count but who u kno and what u look like is how hollywood works
Hi, How many people would you say got call backs like on average out of the amount of people there? Do you think I would have a good chance if I am 13 (and acting)? Thanks!
Hey! I'd say out of the people that were there, about 10% or less got callbacks, and a bunch of the numbers were repeated. I think you'd have more of a chance than someone that is 14, 15, 16, or 17! lol. So I'd say yes =]. But a larger percentage of callbacks were all for modeling.
so im just trying to clarify. this was your second time right so the first time when u paid the $800, you didn't get a call back. meaning that ur money is sorta wasted but it benefits for the future... how long did they say you have to wait before you realize that you didnt make it??? (just to prepare for the nerve recking wait)
and the people who were chosen, did they know that same day? and have to extend their time in the city
I wouldn't say that the $800 was wasted..the first time is a great experience. But yeah, the lower prices in the future are really nice. For the monologue auditions, you know about 4-5 hours later. For the agent callbacks, runway, photo review, and monologue presentations are all before lunch and the agent callbacks are after lunch. Hope that helps!
Nope, everyone participates in everything. The weekend and invitational is only 2 days long for everyone.
Hey! I don't have an agent but you can probably look online for agencies around your area and hopefully find someone to represent you. My first book is like 100 pages and the 2nd is about 170.
Whatta you mean by 'how do i act'? lolll. Acting tips would just be to get really into the character and connect emotionally to the part. Think of how a character or monologue or scene relates to you.
Im 15 and im going for modeling. i look about 17 or 18... what do u think my chances r?
