I've heard with minor mods... Holding the brake and pushing the gas (since they're automatic) you can get the front tires to lift off the ground a little with enough boost.

I've turbo'd my tercel and a few different 4g63 engines in cars. I just want the drivetrain and engine and maybe drop it into something else - or possibly put it in a non sy/ty blazer.

I need another project (which is why I asked) - although it looks like my next one will have to be something cheap again - probably more DSM in a hyundai or something of the sorts.

Just picked up my Phoon up a week ago, I been waiting to get one for about 8 or 9 years since I first drove in one and now I finally have one and its everything I expected it to be and more. I cant wait to get some money together and start fixing my new baby up. Body is in ALMOST perfect shape and interior is clean as a whistle. Just need some minor engine work and upgrades. My Phoon is a beast though, god damn.

i want one but they are just too expensive. so id probably just drop in a turbo 350 or turbo 4.3 in an s10 or blazer. it just wouldnt be the same though

id also take the turbo v6.personally i enjoy much more driving turbocharged cars that aspirated(for the sensations it gives..)and usually a similar powered turbo gets better acelerations and even mpg or reliability in some cases.

given the choice tell me you wouldnt want a naturally aspirated V8 with the same bhp and ft lbs of torque. no lag and horsepower on tap at all time, not to mention the constant torque avaliable. Turbos take time to build boost. Dont get me wrong I LOVE your truck it kicks ass!!!. just wondering?

The cause of the sound is from compression surge, the sound quality is dictated by the wastegate. So it's actually both, in a nutshell. To the OP, a BOV would be irrelavent on an automatic. Not that people don't install them on auto's, but it's useless on them... ;)

@Spoolingturbo6 actually i have a turbo regal that's stock it it makes the same sound when the turbo spools to full boost and then u let off of throttle. and i dont have external wastegate...but it is a BAD@SS sound....

well its got a LB4 GM V6 with a Mitsubishi TD06-17C turbocharger and a Garrett water/air intercooler. The whole setup makes 280hp and 360ft-lbs of torque. The transmission is a 4-speed automatic GM 700R4. The transfer case is a 35/65 Borg Warner 1372/4472. 0-60 in 4.6 sec and the 1/4 mile in 13.4 sec at 98 mph. Hope thats what you wanted to know

Hey guys, i thing GMC needs to take there new Canyon and put either a supercharged 4.8 or a new ls-2 in an extended cab and rename it the canyon syclone. If chevy wont have the balls to put that much power in those trucks then GMC should saying who they are the first to make factory truck peformance. They should take there crown back. GM is there already with the ss trailblazer, my buddy has on and it will keep up with a vette. but now they need to just make a truck.
