  • A bit strange crossroads theme tune

  • This version was played to represent the episodes that had a sad or unhappy ending

  • Should have STOPPED at "Quit, while you're a HEAD".

Tara, Australia, 3 buttons on the right, younger sister buttons.

    That's the last leg.

Now you can all see "Stumps" bug eyes in New York staring upwards where I left him dead on his back. Couple of nice shiners..

  • Julia Stiles...Julia Stiles..I could see her dancing cover for miles and miles...

    was that sick?

  • Wonder how much that cost her...for the cow costume and the two Swan McNugget spooks trying to sell "comoing with us forver", LOL

Buy a better wheelcair. Better yeat, "cment head", check the depth befpore you "Swan Dive" as a sWallow.

    LOL

Guess it got too offensive for her to say anything..

  • Bye. It's THAT simple. It's like hearing Ciccone's SCREECHING in 97 and her "I don't learn" chorus...how do youf forget the "Gaslight" and the "can you see my Tara?" I "smell a Royal Winnipeg RAT"

    LOL

Just fuck off...keeps the BUGS away.

  • Thanks AGAIN for the "Advice" bad guys, AKA SOL-i-Sitter General, but no, you can't shoot yourself with a two legged tripod, you fucking retard. Go fuck your Holy Father, once you dig him up.

  • That's enough of THAT second hand second coming of SHIT. She STILL got her signature guns mixed up.

Something about the US Military that just makes the WORST in the World, possibly next to Canada's "Batphone" "Mockup".

There are enough hoops under your dress, Mr President for you to sneak in all the Princess Cake you need.

    Unwatchable.

  • Many years ago I was working for a funeral directors near Redditch. I was involved in the funeral for Arthur Brownlow. The Church service and internment was at Inkberrow Church in Worcestershire.

  • Reminds me of Pink Floyd

  • every life on this planet can feel the meaning of this tune

  • In aggrement with Razzle Dazzle 030

  • I don't know why it fades on the commerical release, on the TV its loud to the last drum roll.

  • Paul is not playing lead guitar here it's Jimmy Mcculloch..

  • Fantastic theme to a great tv programme .

  • great sound on this version happy memories thanks

  • MY COMMENT - PART TWO:

And for those of you who think that the original TV version was better, I want to thank you for setting me straight on where Great Britain is. I thought it was on the west coast of Europe, but now I can see it's on Mars, which is the only place in the world where a hokey 60s rendition of a soap opera theme would ever be preferred over a heavy soulful classic rock version by a Beatle.

  • Get to fuck flash gordon.

  • ReverendFlash - with respect, I think you Yanks (and actually, all non-Brits) tend to 'over egg the pudding' with regard to the Beatles (and other British exports). Brits have grown bored of them of late, probably due to over-exposure, whereas anything with a UK postcode seems to drive your fellow countrymen wild.... The sniff of Hugh Grant's accent and the film sells, regardless of talents..... Harry Potter lingers on, regardless of its blatant plagerism... etc lol

  • Also, we are not "on the west coat of Europe"; we are an island (well, a collection of..) independent of the European continent, not on its coast.

  • Obviously you're entitled to your opinions (though I did reconsider that... Wouldn't be the first time Americans have got it wrong, WMDs and all that.... lol), but the "hokey 60s rendition of a soap opera theme" is actually an award-winning, million-selling composition and recording in its own right, as you say rightly by Tony Hatch, who has written some of the 1960s most memorable tunes - Downtown being the most publicised.

  • So please don't slag off something (the original theme), because you're obsessed with the Beatles and McCartney's version.... They are both two very different, very good, versions of the same composition.

    That is all. lol

  • @reverendflash R U any good at muff diving man in a boat drilling etc?

  • @evilofisalm

I'm reacting to your comment like Bill O'Reilly reacted to the phrase 'play us out' (and I hope you'll do the same).

  • MY COMMENT - PART ONE:

God, I love watching morons argue with each other. First of all, to the poster of this video, this song was NOT written by Paul McCartney, as you stated in your comment. It was written by Tony Hatch.

  • Thank you Mr. Einstein for discovering the hot water...

  • credit wheres credits due and all that .. always played at a sad ending ...

  • 2 kind of people hate Paul : jealous musicians(did'nt get anywhere in their miserable life) and people who have'nt got a clue how to create one SINGLE melody that can live forever in the memories of millions. Paul wrote hudreds of them.On the other hand great jazz musicians found inspiration listening to Mccartney's compositions (First Lp ever of George Benson was entirely Beatles songs) Bob Belden and many other great jazz arrangers spoke highly about Paul's talent, so let's cut the crap.

  • Who ever forced you to watch McCartney if you dislike him !?...Besides he is a music genious, and you should be ashamed as a British to criticise a man who made your country proud !!

  • @chillmax God, you're stupid.

  • @chillmax Sadly Macca died creatively in the early 70s, there was nobody around to say 'that was shit' so he just released more rubbish. He is a hugely talented producer but should have given up writing about 35 years ago, become a folk musician and produced a few films maybe. He became a very embarrassing Frank Sinatra figure years ago, should have quit the music biz long ago.

  • @BobsArtGallery i an british, and proud is mearly an opinion. That aside i like Tony Hatch's work.

  • @BobsArtGallery Chillmax's comment was blatantly a witty response to the whinging Tony Hatch fans. Get a sense of humour mate. ;)

  • @chillmax your an idiot for coming on to a song you dont like, why did u come on it if you dont like it ....... you probably left the comment to get people to argue with you which again is stupid stop wasting your time trying to get people to argue....... rant over :L

  • @chillmax He seems to have ruined it completely..............sad....

  • Not as good as Tony Hatch's arrangement.

  • I learned this on my lekky guitar and synth...love it!

  • Brilliant theme for Crossroads! It was used for many months constantly, and then used intermittently between the original theme just for dramatic endings for the remaining years, before they went to a piano theme mid-80's.

  • Thanks so s much for this, so many memories

  • Fantastic piece for music for Crossroads lovely to hear it again. Thanks for posting this.

  • love this i used to call this sad crossroads - cross roads - used this when ever there was a fataility

  • @RazzleDazzle030 and as Tony Hatch and ATV note, when the Wings version replaced the original theme on the close they were both bombarded with complaints, and so the original theme was restored, with this version thereafter only used for 'sad' endings. If this had been the most popular version the 16 million viewers wouldn't have moaned...

  • @RazzleDazzle030

That'd be like....every other week just to spice things up or scare the beejeezers out of the cast who'd never know if they were next!! Jane Rossington....YER TIME IS UP!! Cue RazzleDazzle's Theme!! LOL!

  • was this tune released as a single on the Bradley record label??

  • The used this as a special theme in Crossroads, think it was used when Arthur Brownlow was knocked down lol

  • I remember that!!! 1982, lol

  • Had'nt heard this version for eons, in fact I forgot it existed. Magical short piece of music, the guitar and orchestration are just superb. Thanks for posting

  • Totally amazing...I used to drum to this everyday on the arm of the leather sofa when I was 4 years old...When crossroads was finishing way back in the 70's! I play it on my electric quitar now I'm 35! Totally love it!

  • classic!
