  • @2010metsfan I went there to check out the protest last week, the people there clean up after themselves pretty efficiently. And the police presence seemed largely unnecessary, an obscene amount of officers were stationed there compared to something like the Tea Party movement.

  • There's plenty of problems the protesters are addressing. 1) The Glass-Steagall Act must be reinstated. 2) No more corporate and banking bailouts at taxpayers' expense. 3) No more jobs shipped overseas. 4) Our retirement funds is ours and not Wall Street's. 5) End corporate greed and welfare. These are a few issues that need to be addressed. We're individualistic and diverse, which means that every protestor has his or her own story.   • @ZIYR0 ...thus Lassiez-Faire capitalism can't possibly work because without antitrust laws, competition will be destroyed...and competition is the basis of capitalism therefore in order for a market to be free (i.e. to have competition) then there must be regulation. Thus, a truly free market is an oxymoron.

    And for the record, I strongly believe in capitalism. I just don't believe in monopoly.
