@2010metsfan I went there to check out the protest last week, the people there clean up after themselves pretty efficiently. And the police presence seemed largely unnecessary, an obscene amount of officers were stationed there compared to something like the Tea Party movement.

@2010metsfan I went there to check out the protest last week, the people there clean up after themselves pretty efficiently. And the police presence seemed largely unnecessary, an obscene amount of officers were stationed there compared to something like the Tea Party movement.

There's plenty of problems the protesters are addressing. 1) The Glass-Steagall Act must be reinstated. 2) No more corporate and banking bailouts at taxpayers' expense. 3) No more jobs shipped overseas. 4) Our retirement funds is ours and not Wall Street's. 5) End corporate greed and welfare. These are a few issues that need to be addressed. We're individualistic and diverse, which means that every protestor has his or her own story. Thus, a truly free market is an oxymoron.

People like Ron Paul, I might agree with Ron Paul on all issues but I will vote from because I know he is honest. Ron Paul has proven track record of 30 yrs and he warned public over and over but people just called him nuts. We still have time we need a leader who is honest and consistant who wont sell his soul. @MattyTheMole You make some good points but I disagree that everyone is dishonest. There are honest people out there and its our responsibility to encourage them to run for public office. However, we like theater and drama, we prefer immorals who excite us and give us our everyday gossip. We follow the trends and vote accordingly. Do you know the there are quite few politician who don't take their yearly salary and refuse pension also one of them is Ron Paul.

The problem is with the universities and their retoric that you're life will suck if you don't get a degree. Then they raise tuition costs. Bush spent tons and tons of our dollars and ruined our economy which was already hurting to begin with. Then Obama steps into the picture. If He were to spend 20% more than Bush, it would not have only been detrimental to our economy, but would have been nearly impossible to recover from.
