  • smooth pull nice worrk like like normal

  • We appreciate the positive feedback. We would like to point out this is a stock LS2 with just upgraded valve springs that has seen some hard times as the supplied thread mentioned.

  • Somthing not rite #to low for twen turbos whats all did u guys do to it like blook heads and stuff

  • We wanted to stay safe with the car seeing that is had been thru some hard times, so boost was kept at a safe 10 psi. 93 octane w/ Meth. Results are on our Mustang Dyno (approx. 10% lower than a DynoJet). This would put this car at approx 650 wheel HP on a DynoJet with a stock motor which is actually very good.

  • those whp numbers are way to low for a twin turbo LS2 if you compare them to a sts or even aps twin turbo setup.

  • That seems a little low for a V8 twin turbo

  • I think it needs more exhaust tips

  • Can someone tell me what the "with WCF" on the dyno screen means?

  • @DZoneTV - wheel correction factor

  • @buggy164 - Thanks. Learn something new everyday.

  • Alright, I'm glad you like it. I know that cars get marked up, I never said that the ZR1 and the ACR get marked up too, just like the GT did. I'm glad theyre making some improvement to the GTR though. I think it could use some to stay competitive with the cars its classed with.

/watch?v=0TXLMR74nmY This doesnt say anyhting about the tires, but it is putting the power down. I cant find one where it tells us the tire specs. =/

  • i have rode in this car many of times and this car is CRAZY fast.

  • @Marshmallowrex Apparently grammar is lame also.

  • The sign on the wall @ 1:19 isn't much use is it, lol

  • That's about 630 engine hp, right?

  • @Marshmallowrex Whoooaaa kiddo! I'm not mad, I'm just explaining that in the car loving world, anyone will have an opinion but does not have to state it and be a total douche bag.

  • What gear is this pull in?

  • Ehhhh.

  • @Marshmallowrex Now you have 4... :X

  • Is the hand brake disconnected, because the emergency brake light is on. 0:31

  • Well this is a C6 not a C6Z06. I am not a corvette expert but I think this is still decent performance increase if this just a bolt on TT. I think the LS2 is around 400HP. I'm not sure what it produces at the wheels. So we are looking at a 250 rwhp increase. Seems OK to me.

  • horsepower and torque in same numbers? LoL

  • @Marshmallowrex Hahaha well I'll give you the fact that their mostly plastic, but only the base C6 is lame ;)

  • @Marshmallowrex Ney.

So you're an automobile enthusiast and you can't appreciate a car for a car?

    What a fucking hypocrite.

I love a GTR too, but a RWD drag car isn't bad to have either, stop being so ignorant.

  • thats it? sad.

  • wow thats it?

  • AMS I have come to expect GREAT things from you. I am severely upset with this corvette. Lingenfelter makes an N/A corvette with MORE power than this twin turbo on 10lbs!! I was honestly expect no less than 800rwhp. How could you all post this up? I'd be ashamed if I was you....

  • Looks good, but AMS, wheres the boost? I was expeceting something like 900whp. lol And the GTR is a shiny toy that isnt good for anything but point and shoot 11 second drag times.

  • @Nate4G63 Then why are you watching this video? AMS has shown that they can work on any platform and that the GT-R is an excellent platform for modifying. The GT-R is also a world class handler. I wouldn't say its only good for 11 second drag times.

  • @kageryu311 I'm watching this video because its a Corvette, and not a GTR. I understand that the GTR is very popular car, but I feel it is vastly overrated. I miss the updates on their various Evo projects, now it seems the only thing I see coming out of the AMS shop is a GTR.

  • @Nate4G63 Thats because AMS works on the latest most common car packages. And the GT-R isn't overrated, it performs to standard and is a great performance bargain.

  • @kageryu311 I dont think its a great performance bargain. I think that it costs too much, and doesnt live up to its own hype. It costs more money than its supposed to, it is talked up to be one of the greatest performance machines ever created but falls short of things like a Dodge Viper, and its ugly. Not to mention a tank. It weighs almost 2 tons and has only 480 bhp. I think that there are better things to spend the time, effort and resources of AMS on.

  • @Nate4G63 Where have you been for the past year dude. The 2012 GTR makes 530hp and it cost under 100k. It costs far less than its european counterpart. You obviously think too much about 1/4 milee times. Just becuse you think its ugly doesn't mean its not a great performance bargain. AMS builds imports and the GT-R is the primary import its going to work on. If nobody build the GT-R, who will?

You need to do more research on the GT-R before making uniformed opinions.

  • @kageryu311 Uhm, its marked up here, having talked to at least a half dozen owners in this area they all payed around $110K for their GTR. And since you obviously didnt read me say more than once that GTR is fast, I'll repeat it. It is fast, but maybe they should put the Pilot Sport Cups on it and it will go faster than it does now. Or moaybe they should make it lighter and it will get faster. And I dont care about European cars, they are way overpriced and overrated.

  • @Nate4G63 Nissan is making the 2013 with 570hp and a 150lb weight reduction. Its all over the internet. As for the people you talked to, how about you ask some ZR1 owners what they got their brand new ZR1's for and the Same to Viper owners and they will tell you about how they got marked up. The only high performance sports car I've seen without a markup was the C6 Z06 and you see those everywhere. That's why my next car is an R35 :)

  • @Nate4G63 Your probably one of those guys that think that anything not american or anything over $50K is overpriced and overrated. You need to open your eyes and see that there are far more things to a car that how much power it makes and how much it costs.

  • @kageryu311 No, not really. I like a bunch of cars that are in the 6 digit price range. And I am hardcore Subaru Junkie. I think that they are the best car to ever grace a driving surface. I dont want to spend that much money on a car, I'd rather take my Legacy and put the time and effort into it, so that it will run faster times than a car like the GTR. But thats just me. Either way, its gonna be fast, and either way, it makes someone happy.

  • @Nate4G63 Its talked up to be one of the greatest performance machines ever made because of its ability to put power to the ground and combine numerous technologies together in such a way that was never seen before. The Viper is just a lightweight car with a big engine and a lot of horsepower, that's not really as much innovation as getting a 3800lb car to do 7:24 around the ring.

I bet you are one of those dudes that thinks of the GT-R like a 4000lb evo. Also how much should a GT-R cost IYO?

  • @kageryu311 In my opinion, the GTR should cost $50,000. It should not be almost $100,000. It is not an attractive car, and it is not as fast as I think it should be. I dont look at like a 4,000lb Evo, I look at as 3 Evos that never came to be. And for the money that a GTR is gonna cost I could build an STI and an Evo and both of the would be faster than the GTR anyhow. But then again, they would also be faster than the ZO6, the 599 GTO and the Ford GT as well.

  • @Nate4G63 If you built an STi or evo to be as fast as a GT-R they wouldn't be anywhere near as reliable. Also they wouldn't handle anywhere near as well, pass emissions or have anywhere near the same gas mileage as a GT-R. And lets be honest you really think any car company would offer a car with a dual clutch trans system and over 500hp for 50,000 grand brand new? You are thinking way too narrow. As far as looks that all an opinion and I think the GT-R looks good.

  • @kageryu311 The GTR doesnt come with over 500hp though. I know a Ferarri is astronomical as far as price, but the GTR just doesnt deliver in my opinion. I think that a 400hp STi or Evo is a pretty reliable car anymore, and they really do handle amazingly well. I think that the gas mileage of the GTR is achievable with a modified car, but youre right, emissions would be hard to pass in California. Everywhere else though its do-able. Either way, I feel it is not worth the price of admission.

  • @Nate4G63 The GT-R doesn't make over 500hp? You need to look at the 2012 GT-R then. You need to see these videos: /watch?v=rNT2UijpCMs

    /watch?v=HTOlCOcuyFQ&feature=relmfu

    /watch?v=wfzqmpQQfOs

  • @kageryu311 Well, I know that in a drag race the GTR is gonna beat things like the Vette and Mustang. I feel that the Mustang is in a different class than the other two. But I still feel that for all the technological advantages the GTR has over the ZO6 the gap at the end of that drag race should have been a lot bigger. I will fully admit the GTR is fast, but its still not all that it is cracked up to be to me. But maybe thats because I havent been into drag racing in a few years.

  • @Nate4G63 Did you look at the other videos. Its not just a car for drag racing. Its a world class handler. I guess doingn 7:24 around the ring and being in the top 5 cars in most of the tracks its been on and beating numerous cars that cost $200-300K doesn't mean anything either.

  • @kageryu311 Yeah I was watching them, I'm just not impressed with it. I havent liked it since it came out, and I'm confident I never will. I agree with you, its fast, but the Viper ACR ran a 7:12 last time I checked, and holds a lot of fastest production vehicle records all over the USA. I'm more impressed with the Viper because it has that much speed without all of the technology. The GTR is only fast because of the computer.

  • @Nate4G63 And the Viper is fast because it has 600hp and light weight with slicks. The GT-R did its time with 3900lbs, 4 seats, and 530hp on street tires.

  • @kageryu311 The viper doesnt have slicks, its running DOT approved tires, with only RWD, no traction control or stability management, and no a 6 speed manual gearbox. Much more impressive if you ask me. But obviously we arent going to change our minds here.

  • @Nate4G63 I've seen the Nurburgring pass so don't send me a link. The ACR is a race car you can drive on the street, period, the GT-R isn't.

  • @kageryu311 I disagree with you on that, it has a full interior and power windows. Plus is put into the same class as the GTR. So I think that its a fair comparison to make.

    /watch?v=zoJraaxJ658 What about this?

  • @Nate4G63 And a ZR1 is $120k to the GT-R's $90K price tag and still won't get as much traction as a GT-R on the street. I own a Corvette and have been in numerous corvettes (including the ZR1) so I know a bit about the traction thing too.

  • @Nate4G63 Also if you call pilot sport cups street tires, I'm gonna need to laugh at you.

  • @kageryu311 I know all about putting power down, as a Subaru enthusiast I know the nefits of AWD. And a street tire is any tire that meets the DOT regulations. The Viper ACR is a street car so it runs legal tires. It might not be a tire that will last for 50,000 miles, but its still a street tire.

  • @kageryu311 And where I live, you cannot buy a GTR for less than $100K. I know its listed around $90K but they mark them up because of demand.

  • @Nate4G63 It goes the same way for a ZR1. My buddy who bought the GT-R in one of my vids got his ZR1 for 150k. Vipers are going to get marked up too if you can find one and not to mention they don't sell them anymore.

  • @kageryu311 /watch?v=Ok1WUO3p1oQ

  • @Nate4G63 Why are you showing me all of these videos I've seen before? I know what the ZR1, Viper ACR and GT-R did around the ring. And the GT-R is still up there with only 530hp and a 3900lb curb weight.

  • @kageryu311 /watch?v=p2EuY9uRCfQ

  • @Nate4G63 Technology is the thing with the GT-R. I strongly disagree when someone says the car isn't a performance bargain or is only good at one thing when they don't look at the entire picture. The point of the GT-R is to be fast EVERYWHERE all the time even in the snow. That is what Mizuno's (the GT-R's creator) intent was.

  • @kageryu311 Well, if I'm spending $100K on a car, I'm gonna buy the Viper. I feel that for the money you get a faster car with more potential. And the GTR woudlnt last very long in PA in the winter.

  • @Nate4G63 How do you know. There are plenty of guys on NAGTROC that own GT-R's as dd's. Lets not forget to mention that a 700whp GT-R will put down all of its power on street tires. Try saying that for a 700whp Viper.

  • @kageryu311 Hennessy Performance puts down 1500whp in a Viper on street tires. So dont tell me that like its the most amazing thing ever. I know that the GTR doesnt have the ground clearance to hand 6 inches to a foot of snow we get here in PA.

  • @Nate4G63 Please show a video because there isn't a car in the world that will put down all of 1500whp on street tires at the drag strip or on the street at speeds under 100mph.

  • @kageryu311 I have to admit though, you are a much more reasonable person to have a discussion like this with.

  • @Marshmallowrex Haha oh you never change, but you are entitled to your opinions.

  • Good numbers to me

  • I was expecting more HP for a twin turbo C6.

  • wow 73 hp per cylinder .. yawn

  • How's the handling? I've seen some videos of fast Vettes loosing traction.

  • Its going to end up way faster than a Z06 anyway so why start with the more expensive model. You can see they already put on the z06 fenders and bumpers.

  • stock tranny? stock exhaust? stock internals? Why you choose to upgrade a corvette c6? They're good because its corvette but I would've chosen a z06

  • @elchicoboy Only thing missing is the LS7... However, that is the most important feature.

  • @twztd28 The car can have rims, exhaust, side panels and even the open hood with the crystal to look like a zr1, but that doesn't mean it is. And its proven with the engine and the sound. Best corvette so far out there is the zr1 and not by its high amount of hp, but its sound. Few of the v8 sounds I love when it comes to American cars.

  • @elchicoboy Well this has all the looks of the Z06, it's just missing the engine (LS7)... Which is why I said that. I like the Z06 better then the ZR1 anyway, I don't care if it's slower.

  • That thing must be an absolute monster on the road.
