From the trailer it seems that they fighting with some monster or alien, funny to make trailer to look like that. Otherwise, the movie is great besides the scene in the shower Kate is superb actress. Yes, she is very beautiful but that is just a plus. I watched this movie several times so far, maybe I'll watch it again right now when I encode it in DVD.

@SGVknarf there is a killer on the base, and they are trying to figure out who it is before they are isolated with him/her for the 6 month winter. people are complaining alot but i thought it was a pretty cool movie, i love movies where isolation becomes one of the biggest fears. like John Carpenters "The Thing" also based in Antartica, if u like thrillers give it a watch. the effects are pretty good too. if ur a CGI hound tho, move along

Basically, the main plot of this film was simple, a murder mystery and an unknown killer trying to locate a lost cache of diamonds in Antartica and a sub-freezing blizzard to complicate the whole thing! I found the movie entertaining... a sort of 'whodunit' with hottie Kate beckinsale and Tom Skerritt. Who would have guessed that co-star Alex O'Loughlin would appear in this film and then become the main star of CBS's new series remake, 'Hawaii Five-O?'
