videodownloadhelper plugin for firefox lets you do all that plus even lets you convert your vids to other common formats.

videodownloadhelper is even easier than anything out there, just press a two click and its downloading to your HD.

works on just about any website.

Another cool YT download is Video download manager, which is a firefox add-on. Pretty cool.. it's what I use.

Just use safari and click on window and than activity.

use the activity window and find the file with the largest size and that is your video. double click it and you will download any video for free. You need a video conversion software to convert it from flash to your favorite formate of your choice.

Oh yeah i would be with you on that except im pissed about all the fucking commercial ads on here now! it isnt right, if i wanna watch fucking commercials i would watch TV. This is bullshit and you know it. watching it anytime you want on youtube, is no different than downloading it, your computer stores the file anyways. Plus streaming bogs the WorldWideWeb for everyone. i dunno how you would conceive downloading as unethical. Its essentially the same as streaming.

You can use Safari's Activity window too. Click Window > Activity then look for the largest file on the page, that's generally the video. Double click and it saves it like any other file.

I think everyone should know that you can go to Window> Activity> and then scroll down to the biggest file and just double click it to download. (this is with Safari)

There is a VERY easy way to get a YouTube video for free if you have a MAC. Hit option-command-a all at the same time while watching the video you want to download in Safari. Hit the arrow button down to see all the activity. Double click on the file that is bigger than 5 mb (most of the time) and it will download the full video. Free, and comes with every Mac!

Eric you may not like this way to save youtube videos but it works. Using Google Chrom install the extension YouTube HTML5-ifier by mark.renouf then enable it the Video will playback in HTML5 and not Flash then you can right click and save the Video as a MP4 file.

hehe, you don't need a program on a Mac, try this:

-Open youtube, and select the video you would like to DL.

-Open the 'window' menu and select 'Activity'

-Now, look for the biggest file in that list (you'll see there's something downloading) and double-click it!

-There you go, the vid will start downloading at the quality you selected on youtube (normal, HQ or HD)
