  • People do that at Maryport Level Crossing, they go across the crossing whilst the barriers are going up. On this vid, its the SAME thing!

  • British Railsystem is the terrible system of world, Private Train was a dangerous for life of people!!!! Rail must be ruled by the state!!!! :)

  • @Schrankenposten19 Our rail system is safe - lots of excellent railwaymen help run it. Politicians just cause trouble whenever they meddle whether in the 40s or the 90s! And you clearly don't know anything!

  • @zozzie Yeah sure, so it was also in England for so many fatal accidents where a train is privatized, then it creates security, Service, private railways, think only of their own good, but not to the people! It is to say an idiotic idea Privatised railways to bring benefits!

  • @Schrankenposten19 You seem to forget that the railways in Britain have been in private ownership for most of their existence. The railways here are very safe, especially when compared with other forms of transport in the UK.

Hatfield is an exception but had the British government provided extra funding for the collapsable OHLE masts which BR wanted there would have been less chance of fatal injuries after the rail shattered.

  • cum on really..ur all talkin shit,iv been through that on a push bike wen 2 barriers on opersit sides have been down, that guy just nipped through knowing full well that he wud not get blocked in as the barriers on the right hand side of the road cum down first and the left side after the right side is down, haha why the fuk am i even commentin on such bollox....good bye

  • 3 mins waste my time

  • The most that first car risked was scratched paint... they were hardly in danger of being mowed down by a train, unless they decided to park there for around 85 seconds.

  • that mans got a long life to live for so dont take the risk!

  • In much of Europe, where this video appears to be taken, the red lights are railroad crossings stop flashing just as the barriers start upwards. If that's the case at the crossing in this video, the black car did absolutely nothing wrong.

  • BTW it's British two clues

    1) The siren like warning unlike bells in most countries.

    2) The fact the traffic drove on the left including the train itself (well there are exceptions to this rule like on some railway system of France do have trains go on the left due to the fact the British engineers designed the first tracks in France.

  • Unsure about the British road code but what the car did in that video is considered illegal here.

He should of waited for the redlights to stop flashing even if the barriers were up. The reason why we have this rule here is because we have countless unbarriered crossings in the country side and such a rule is especially important.

  • NeoFalcon69 > "He should of waited for the redlights to stop flashing.."

I went to full screen on the HQ version and the lights do appear to stop flashing just as the barrier starts up (as said in my previous comment). I watched several times carefully and saw no lights flashing as the black car and pedestrian proceeded through the crossing.

  • I see - the red lights here will stop flashing once the barriers are in the upright position. Roadrules here will dictate that traffic must stop til the redlights stops flashing. Maybe in Britain the lights stop as the barriers go up.

  • lights stop once barrier is fully upright and starts flashing when the train goes over a sensor

  • it's the black estate car th 5 secs in to the video that goes through the red lights i know the text i put in gets in the way of seeing the lights but i was there you can herre the siron going when that starts the lights start i was told he got cought on the red light camera and fined anyway

  • The barriers close after the loghts start but if they close quick you could get stuck if you try to go through

  • the lights flash before and after the train has came the barriers wouldnt go up if people arnt allowed to drive through....

  • Ya daft bumbaclat, jah waste tre minutes of me time, deh nuffin wrong wid dat driver......mon

  • Daft bumbaclat yourself :-) It's the driver of the black estate car at the _beginning_ of the video who bombs through the red light. You didn't need to watch the next three minutes.

  • ye but the sirens go off too early

  • Nice video

  • How come the cars don't stop when the railway crossing light flashes?

  • Sadly some drivers don't remember the highway code after they've gotten their driving licence. A RED LIGHT MEANS STOP. It's the same situation if the barriers are raising with the light still flashing.

  • I know that the red means to halt. But they will learn their lesson hopefully if they get killed or hurt.

  • well most of the drivers are snobby buisinessmen prats who know their rights. one time a guy in an Audi A6 was at the barriers revving up, he drove through the barriers and took the motor boxes and the barriers too, on the other side was a police viechle, the businessman tried to get out but he was blocked by concrete and metal, he will think next time he comes up to a set of barriers.

  • Thats right I hope he learns a deadly mistake too.

  • that has never happened in narborough lol

  • because its a warning that the barriers are going to go down
