@777seph for some reason,megatron knew a way to fuse his spark with the cube, what sam did was just push it into his spark, causing it to have a meltdown, hence when he died the molten energon

I doubt that Megatron would finish off Optimus so nonchalantly. I mean, the two were friends before the Cybertronian War, and had known each other after that as rivals for millions of years. Megatron, even if not in the recent films or games, has always regarded Optimus with a respect that he showed few individuals, because despite differences in ideology and combat methodology, he saw Prime as a worthy adversary and warrior. To a warmonger like Megatron, he would show Prime the utmost respect.

However, while Megatron has always been the ruthless military commander and a vicious combatant, he honors other warriors, even Autobots, if he sees them as worthy. However, if you're going just by the G1 info, Megatron is pretty much a one-dimensional character. The expanded fiction improves upon his character.

@PlatinumDoubleU Well that depends on what you mean by "brothers". If you mean they were brother literally, as in they shared the same parents, then you would be mistaken. Considering they are machines that are built, not organic beings created by the sharing of genetic material between partners, how is it exactly that Optimus and Megatron would be brothers if they don't, and can't, share the same components? Even if they were created by the same being, that wouldn't mean they were "siblings".

What he would leave him alive to be revived and then let him kick his butt? No he wouldn't. They are not really brothers yes but they were close so that doesn't mean he wouldn't kill him. If a ex-friend was in my way and i was evil i would too(Not myself if i was a transformer) Would you? Or leave him with a chance to shattter your plans?

to put it in context all the decepticons can be a very destructive tactical force to have, but all they are in the grand scheme of things to humans is a bunch of advanced tank-like battle structures. Send in a division outfitted with anti tank guns and alot of M1 Abrams, and air support and you could pulverize them all in 15 seconds. And that's just the US Military i'm talking about.

face it the 2nd movie had ALOT of flaws. in story line and charicter development. the best parts were the fighting scenes. they should make transformer movies with fighting robots and NO humans except for soilders fighting along side autobots. why else call the movies TRANSFORMERS

In the original cartoon there was a teenaged boy and a teenaged girl who followed around the transformers, and played SOMEWHAT of a roll in the story.

The second movie was VERY transformers in feel, plot, and development. They practically had everything the first movie didn't, and then some. I think they did the second movie brilliantly considering the 17% (I think) dialogue that the transformers had in the first film.
