  • Hope they come back to Montreal.

  • Love how the front man lets the music and lyrics speak for themselves without some crappy dance moves and fake expression. Only his eyes portray emotion, it's epic. Anyone who fails to see that is an idiot

  • whoever made this couldn't direct traffic. weak.

  • Its about damn time we get some real freakin talent!!!

  • Music's good but christ what a boring band just look at them they're aren't even trying. That frontman needs his drink spiking

  • what is this MTV all over again.?! Turn the fucking music down- it doesnt fit in here

  • i could really do without the annoying boodaloodaloodaloodaloodaloodaloodaloo thingy at the beginning of every f'n video on futureshorts

  • wow, very good idea :)

  • fucking poetry. beautiful.

  • fucking poetry.

  • Nice compilation!

I love the look of the Gretsch Thunder Jet bass guitar, too.

  • the vocalists don't match up with the energy of the movie,

  • hahaha Colin o'toole. is it just me or does it sound like he's a tool?

  • i thought this was the greatest thing ever, it was quite nifty, Harry... lust :D *wipes drool* ahaha, horny kids XD nuu jk

  • 9:00 thru 11:15 best part of the song

  • boring

  • quite excellent

  • I Can't Stand the Music so can't be bothered to sit here getting small doeses of the film while the Band try'n look cool.

  • @therealKINDLE its a short movie thats also a preveiw of their album its not "small doses" of a film its the preview of their album

  • wATCH cUBE dESTINATION

  • peace and quiet is my fave on the album... and streetlights, and bigger than us :) i actually love them all :)

  • What was it all about really? Can anyone explain?

  • Interesting music video, but the location in not a nuclear reactor. This is a web-offset printing facility. The band performs next to reams of paper that are used to print magazines, brochures and possibly newspapers. The large pieces of equipment are printing presses that are 2 stories tall and are long and include inline dryers. The yellow ceiling lights early in video are probably the plate making department where they first enter.

  • That was amazing!!!

  • Something about this kinda reminds me of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds...

  • This is a rather interesting idea; combining music video, new album teasers, and a short film all into one.

It looks nice and all, unfortunately the story concept is really week (for a short) and it feels like everyone is just posing to look cool. Still, it's a unique idea and has a tonne more substance than a pandering music video.

  • @justicarphaeton I completely agree with you. The music doesn't really match what's happening in the short film. It leaves us with this concept that's just a little off and meaningless. It's like they wanted to do something along the lines of Michael Jackson's "Thriller", but completely missed the part where the music and movie match up. Good idea, bad follow through.

  • I love this. It's just beautiful. Sums about all those feelings that don't have proper names. I suppose other people don't quite see it.

  • i didn't like it i don't know why :D

thumbs up who doesn't like it

  • WTFFF

  • I really dont care what anybody else says but this video is shit.

  • Dose anyone else thinks that the song 'Bigger than us' sounds like mewewbel? :L

  • cool!

  • thank you i've discovered this very intresting group !

nice video, a great music... and good actor too ! :)

  • IMO the music was great, but the video didn't impress me at all...

  • this is really great! I could hardly breath when watching this - so interesting! although the ending's a bit disappointing. I thought it would be more tangled!

  • uh, that's not a nuclear plant; it's a printing plant. Why would a nuclear plant have rolls and rolls of paper?

  • @joel4692 cuz we don't know it is a roll of paper

  • Point well taken. See David Pogue.

  • Thumbs up if after 2 minutes of watching you skipped to the end because you have the attention spand of a honey bee.

  • THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!

favorite band ever on my favorite channel ever

  • Didn't understand this, although both the music and video were incredible...

-3 White lies Noticed the only person alive at the end was the old woman, as all of the three men kill each other.. the two men killed each other because they were afraid of their ghosts, and in the end the old woman was left alone with the ghosts... or maybe she was a ghost herself? confused :[ someone else probably has a better explanation

  • can the members of this band be any more adorable??

    excellent viddd

  • Is there actually a song by them called 'Ritual' or is this one of the songs from their new album (titled ritual, hence the confusion)

  • @mattzo2000

None of the songs are called ritual :)

Just the title of the album

  • @MrN1NJA1 awesome, well i'll sure be buying it! Thanks

  • If you want to give the impression of a power plant, do not show rolls of paper all the time.

  • White Lies ♥

  • You better have your afterlife clear before you die, that I tell you.

  • White Lies sounds a bit like Weebl...

  • @HasViolentTendencies Oh my God i thought i was the only person who thought that, i love white lies and i know the songs are suposed to be deep and stuff, but i can't help but laugh because i keep picturing electro gypsy in my head :D

  • weird. but i liked the music, and that's the idea, i'm pretty sure :o)

  • I've not been too happy with the 'Music Videos' on the Future Shorts channel but this one was good, I really loved the music. I was captured by the pace and tone.

  • I liked it, still confused, but I liked it.

  • Plot summary: "Drag guy into lab for dubious purposes, say a few lines that don't make sense of anything, more shit happens, also a band plays emotional music over it all". Man, you modern directors sure are visionaries.

  • @KingCrimson776 Have to admit, this is a speck of dust compared to King Crimson :)

  • @KingCrimson776 ambiguity, man... you can make up your own story by extrapolation.

I actually TOTALLY understand why you would consider it boring, seeing as I'm really only interested in the band and not the poorly written story, but as far as album advertisements go, this one is pretty effin' amazing.

  • @ragnarok343 I'd rather a regular music video uninterrupted by inadequate scenes of nonsensical dialogue.

  • @KingCrimson776 yeah... that's what would drive you to buy the actual product. It's an advertisement, eh?

  • @ragnarok343 I wouldn't buy it either way but I'm less likely to buy anything associated with a terrible film like this.

  • @KingCrimson776 That's fair. That's really the problem with Future Shorts, it spans such a number of different genres that it's impossible for someone to be happy 100% of the time on this channel.

  • Gosh, I love White Lies so much. <33

  • I like the music!!!!!!

  • they remind me of the Killers

  • Men and women- those that are truthful with themselves- are constantly, each and every day, being convicted in their souls of their need for salvation. The old man, the sin nature, the one setting himself up as god on the thrones of the individual heart will do anything to not submit to the only source of peace and forgiveness--- he will do everything but beg Jesus Christ for mercy. Listen closely to the lyrics, that was once me.

  • @salmagnum It's not that easy. The challenges of humanity are many, but there are no gods to judge us, there is no salvation, there is only the difficult task of self-improvement as people and societies as we struggle to be more than the other apes we evolved from.

  • @pgunn01 I can only speak from personal experience. I am sorry you have such a morbid view on it, it is only inevitable when we look down instead of up.

"Self-improvement": the religion (and hoax) of the natural man.

On the surface we both seem to speak of peace and love, but man is incapable of turning such lofty ideals into reality on his own. Ask millions of those calling themselves Christians without reading and following their Bibles.

  • @salmagnum Man is the only being that might be capable of bringing peace, love, and improvement to man. There's nobody else to do it. Bibles, Qurans, they don't represent paths to what we're trying to do - they're a vestige of the past that clings to our ankles. The real up is one we'll have to build, not unearth in an already written book.

  • @pgunn01 ah yes, the modern day Tower of Babel, where the man-god brings forth his salvation through Science & Technology.

    /watch?v=LYmm1lUpb0I

  • @salmagnum Do you really expect to convince people by throwing myths in their face? Should I be talking about Zeus or Vishnu?

  • @pgunn01The more that is discovered in every field of science- be it geological,anthropological,astro-physical,et al- the more the Bible is being verified as truth. A little known fact those of us who get through the smokescreen laid by Darwinian evolutionists,atheists-posing-as-scientists,mystics and any of the rest who have indoctrinated you put forth to disguise reality. You will have to do better than to puppet the widely-exposed myths of the Zeitgeist film concerning Christianity, my friend.

  • @salmagnum That's a nice line, but it's wrong. Scientists, like other highly educated people, are much less likely to be religious than the general public. As people learn more, they abandon the myths of the past and instead focus on self-improvement.

I have no idea what film you're talking about.

  • And that is why White Lies is my favourite band.

  • brilliant idea more bands should do it

  • Why on the tags it says "deadmau5"?

  • @dreazylexis He's a popular dj. His names was used to get more hits.

  • sounds like a pet shop boys influence, unless im hearing things... good sound!

  • I didn't get it. Who was the woman? Someone who died in the factory? But what was her purpose in this vid? And why was the drummer there at the end?

    so many questions

  • They filmed the GREEN HORNET there!!!!!!

  • @unrenderedmedia Most certainly did not ....

  • @Shirckensei yeah.... i think so

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant.

  • white lies are awesome

  • found this quiet touching, great video.

  • Pretty good short movie combine with music video..

  • damn this is good (music) i like the intro

  • A+ for effort...

  • Damn, I saw "White Lies", and I was all psyched that it was a TeamStarKid music video for their LWL series. *sigh*

  • Good music performance we like that

  • The acting is actually quit bad

  • The music would be more appreciable without the movie, and the movie would come across better without the music imho.

  • brilliant! and i love white lies :D and now i know that they have a new album! SWEET

  • please change the intro!!! good job anyway:)

  • Epic! ;]

  • Could someone introduce me this story?

  • @lollogaglia I dont know but I'm thinking they are of the impression that the vast majority of people will shout over music to hear each other but switch a t.v on and people stare at it in silence? to me its the way forward? but this is only my opinion, I do not know for sure and there may be some new light shed and you may receice your story title? ;]

  • 2:10 MURDOC!!! :D

  • Lol his name is Colin'O'Tool

  • Great short well done!
