This is fucking stupid. Why the hell does the clip mute anyway? What good is that? The old Movie Maker was actually better, in my opinion. At least there you could speed up/slow down clips ALONG with the audio AND you could even modify audio alone. With the old one, I could choose to movie a video clip down to the audio section and it becomes audio. With this piece of crap, you HAVE to have a visual. You fucked up Microsoft. Give us the old one back for Windows 7.

In Live Movie Maker you can only speed up the view. You can't speed up the audio. If you decided to speed up or slow down the Video Clip, you clip is muted and you can not unmute.

@cfloster oh i found out that when u adjust the speed the audio doesn't carry over meaning no sound what a terrible design. I'm either going to get the old windows movie maker which does carry the sound over or get some other editing software i also heard u can extract the audio form live movie maker and slow it sown with audacity audio software then move it back in, but that's really complicated

because the movie maker fucks up the quallity of the video and every time i want to save it to my desktop it makes the size of my video smaller and the qualllity very shitty.

I have the speed up tool - that's not my problem. My problem is is that when I DO speed up a clip, it cuts it off at the end.. it's as if instead of speeding up the whole clip, it just cuts off some of the end (depending on the speed) to give the illusion that it's faster.

Please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem... I miss the old WMM

@thevisualboy37 This can be pretty annoying and tedious, but what I would do is upload the video and audio together, and save that video to the computer. Then to speed the video up, I'd just upload the video with the audio already in it, and just speed that one up, so it all speeds up together.

if you really wanna do video processing, the quad core is the way to go, it takes up a lot. Also how much ram do you have?
