The original Scarface was made in 1932, by Howard Hawks.Then Brian de Palma decided to remake it in 1983

At the very end of Scarface the remake it says that the movie is devoted to Ben Hecht, who wrote the screenplay of the original Scarface

Several parts of the dialogue was copied straight through (I like Frank,but I like you better). And "The World Is Yours" appeared on a billboard in the original too.
