  • Awww there so cute I want a green 1

  • how long do they live? P.S. pls answer fast cause my mom will only let me buy this saturday

  • Thats sad :(

  • @saljaren1 The dye isn't bad for them! They will live a perfectly long and happy life just like all other chickens.

  • wow how beautiful !!!

  • Woooow..... How do they do that (80

  • @Lanative89 They inject the eggs with dye!

  • i didn´t know tha exist color chickens, are so adorables

  • @20111juani

stupid ignorant. just shut up if you don't even know what you are talking about. Have you ever heard about molting? They would lose the color. So shut up >.>

    These chicks are perfectly healthy.

  • @PxKinRea sure they are healthy now but someones gunna buy them thinking its gunna be cute and colorful for ever but not knowing a thing about owning chickens there gunna throw them out once there not so cute small and fluffy or healthy any more

  • Oh look, my ball of cotton candy grew legs, hopped off the stick and scattered away. OMFGZ!

  • OMG... So cute. ^u^ CHICKS! And not the slang term for young, fruitful ladies.

  • @20111juani

My neck is brown though. 0.0

    Hmmm...judging much?

  • Isnt yellow cute enough already ? Why dont you try coloring type whole body to blue?

  • that is so cool. i want to do that! really, cool guys, really cool!

  • KWEH!!!!

  • Hey, someone's been playing with the HUE settings.

  • UV light is bad but people are still exposed to it everyday.

  • i am not sure why but florida law forbids dying or coloring any animal.

  • @highnote606 ...if food colouring is poisonous then why is it made to be put in food?

  • it may be just food coloring, but how do they get them so uniformly colored in the first place? meaning the dyeing process. pretty sure there's nothing humane about that.

  • @diamondj1979 It's usually injected into the embryo. I don't understand it fully, but it's been done for decades with virtually no negative effects. The chicks come out the color of the dye, and when they develop their adult plumage, their natural color is restored. This technique is used to track chicks from certain broods or parents. It's painless because their nervous systems aren't fully developed at the point of injection.

  • DIBS ON GREEN ONE

  • I want a blue one. i'm an animal lover and i know foof coloring does not huty animals my vet uses it on my grandmas dog.

  • OHH THERESS SO CUTEE,,,,I JUST WANT TO MARINATE THEM AND FRY THEM b:

  • I'd be blue.

  • is it spraypaint? or food coloring

  • They call food coloring "non-toxic". But a large number of reports every year prove that they are toxic. Many children are hospitalized because of it. It is poisonous to our bodies. Imagine how it might affect the animals. More lies from a greedy, selfish world.

  • What's the point of dying them yellow? XD

  • OO REALLY u guys have just been fooled by it's cuteness! do u know how they dye them this might change ur mind watch?NR=1&v=Mj16rdnh95I

  • This is really i have seen really chickin that r this coler

  • I think it is fine as long as the dye is non-toxic food coloring. That is important, because when I kill them and eat them when they get big enough, I don't want any poisons in the meat.

  • 65 people are colorblind

  • As long as they don't hurt the chicks in the process of the food colour dying then I'm good and as long as they treat the chicks properly and carefully it's all good. They're so cute.

  • @prettyrandomtiff lol? they dunk them in a bowl and it gets in their eyes

  • @ChuckNoarus Oh really? Oh um then screw those people.

  • I had a green one an mine grew up into a beautiful Rhode island red named Mary she live for 5 years but raccoons got her :( but that just to say that they don't die with proper care and love

  • Cute but their little asses would better fried up with herbs and spices

  • @papillonfx if you read up top they use food coloring or they can use fruit dyes too, although i personally think the fruit dyes are much better since they are totally harmless. And before you ask wtf is a fruit dye it's something made from multiple fruits nothing else.

  • ur argument dont stand. as a newborn, i dont think ud develop a thing called consciousness of how you look.

  • so cute! how are they colorful?

  • Very cute. Unfortunately people buy the babies and don't expect them to grow up, then they get thrown away.

  • aaaww muchos colores n_n de pollitos :3

    cotton balls xDD aww

  • its illegal now to die chicks

  • i dont know bout in your country but where im from thats illiegal just saying....

  • Most of these colored chicks are not colored after they have hatched. They are injected with a dye as an egg, but it is harmless as normal color returns as it progresses further in age.

  • lovely,cute.

  • SO cute but cruel!! Adorable though.

  • It looks funny.... but they are still animals. Not toys.

  • CHOCOBOS!!

  • for those who think this is cute - sure it is; until the ants eat them :S

I remember when I was young I had 2 chicks that was dyed next morning they were covered in ants :(

  • i was wondering........... are the yellow ones dyed?

  • SO F'N CUTE! .___.

  • awwww there so cute i want one jk haha

  • I like da blu ones :)

  • que horrible que los pinten y los vendan de esa manera!!!

  • @swettpao si amigo eso no me cae bien tambien

  • i'm just wondering if their color will be remove if they got wet... when i was in the philippines when i was little i use to buy 5 chicks with different colors like tht... i try to bathe them but my mum said it will die... so i ididn't do it... but i'm just thinkin if the their color will be remove....

  • use***

  • breading chocobos

  • I'm pretty sure that the dye wears off after try lose their feathers and get new ones.

  • OMGGG! ware can u get them? sooo cute!

  • Well it's a little tasteless and disprespectful. It may not hurt them, but it doesn't help them and shouldn't really be done. Also, putting clothes on cats and giving dogs weird haircuts for the sake of them looking cute is pointless and stupid, too. If you can't appreciate how animals look without giving them some ridiculous feature then you should seek different means of entertaining yourself.

  • @Kavik1200 I think its fine, its not exactly an entertainment, maybe people who do these stuff actually live on trading them right? I wud just enjoy and watch, ive seen so many other disrespectful things happening in this world

  • They sound like they were thirsty.

  • This is so cute! I recently got baby chicks and they are already getting their feathers! I wish we could have had the chance to do this. Well done! :D

  • How this is labeled as "cruel" is beyond me. They're just dyed a different color and honestly the whole "I'm a different color than you!" thing hasn't bothered chickens before. If they happen to be roosters it might set them up for some minor disappointment because they'll lose those neon colors and are, therefore, no longer special.

However, that's neither here nor there. The little chicks in this video are only concerned with peeping, eating and cuddling.

  • @Kriegsarschmann You are so right, most of the people that label this "cruel" are the same ones that will get penicillin, paxil or for that matter viagra (for those who need it) because it makes their life "better" or it might even save it, without for one minute giving a thought how many animals were used in the testing of these very drugs in order to make their life "better" what a bunch of hypocretes. You cant have it both ways.

  • So, now the truth comes out.....this is what happens when you leave a bag of skittles under a chicken's ass! So let's do the math....: Skittles + Chickens = RAINBOW CHICKS!!!!

  • Chicks were originally dyed so people could see what breed they were etc and the dye grows out once the feather grow through. I think if you owned a LOT of chickens and needed to know which chicks were which species for selling purposes it's a good idea :) everyone to their own opinion though

  • animal abuse!

  • so cute! especially love the blue ones!

  • how do they get that colour

  • They r sooo cute I won't and the ones I like r the light blue, puple one and the green one

  • I saw these in Turkey!!

  • awww this is cute...but scary that cant be good for them

  • TO ALL OF YOU WHO WANT TO KNOW WEATHER THEY DIE OR NOT-

Yes, they do all die afterwards. The dye that they put on them will make them live for only a specific period of time. Enough for them to last about 1 month and no longer.

i know its cruel, I've had three and they all died at the same time.

Anyway think about it...Have ANY of you EVER seen multicoloured Fully grown chickens?

  • @MrMrGadgetboy1

No. It isn't dye it is non toxic food coloring. My sister got one for easter and the chicken is doing well and very healthy and the reason that there are no fully grown colored chickens is because their feathers don't come in as the same color.

  • @DragonLady727

The people who i bought my chickens from told me that they die after a specific period of time if dyed.

I dont know, but thanks for the reply anyway.

  • Dyeing chicks is considered inhumane by authorities and is against the law in the USA and Canada....shame on you.

  • are they dyed for a reason?

  • how do you dye a baby chicks different colors?

  • PLZZZ COULD SOME ONE TELL ME IF WE DYE CHICKS WILL THEY DIE???IF YES THEN YY????

  • this is disturbing..no chicken should be these colors..get a life u loosers who think its ok

  • THE CHOCOBOS ARE COMING! THE CHOCOBOS ARE COMING!

  • How Do U Dye Them Colors????

  • despite myy being against selling easter chicks expecially in a pet store (kids see them they think theyre so cute get the and then later when they poop every two minutes and arent so cute they decide to dump the into the wild assuming that these domesticated fowl would be able to survive) they are in a very clean pen and seem very healthy the dye doesnt harm them any more than dyeing our hair harms us the only thing i advise against here is a bigger tub and replace shredded newspaper with

  • @megen1996 replace the shredded newspaper with something less slippery seeing as chicks are very prone to a horrable and diffucultly corrected leg issue called splay leg in which the chicks legs slide out to opposite sides of its body making it impossible to walk and death by being trampled most likely this is often caused by genetics, poor nutrition, and ost commonly : a slippery surfface while the chick is growing

  • I love chicken. I love them better fried.

  • This is wrong. selling them in a pet store? Chicks grow into (smelly) chickens very fast. How many who buy these are going to care for them properly? Give them the warmth they need to brood, but not too hot? Feed them correctly? Give them an appropriate place to live IF they are able to raise them to chickenhood without killing them?

Cute as they are at 1-2 days old, they are not-so-pretty eating sh**ting machines in about a week. What will their fate be then?

  • THE CUTEST THING!

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with this. It's like putting clothes on your cat, or giving your dog a weird grooming. They're animals that happen to look cute. Dying chicks green, red, and blue isn't a harmful act, and it's not like the chicks themselves care.

    Get over it, people...

  • @HarrisonOdell If this was done in a very safe, harmless way, I would agree with you, but how to you know it was? It supposedly doesn't affect their health, but I don't think studies have been done about that, so it could actually be toxic to them. Also, dyed chicks are sold in places like Mexico, where there are almost no animal welfare laws, so they could be dyed with toxic substances for all anyone knows. I don't think this is SUCH a huge deal, but it could be more harmful than people think.

  • @HarrisonOdell Except they are stuck with that. Its not clothes And with weird grooming it can be reversed.

  • @Zeldafreak007 ...THey're only stuck with it until their shed their colored feathers. :I

Which doesn't even take that long. Plus its food coloring so its not poisonous.

  • @Busterdrag yea the ants just love em though.

  • @HarrisonOdell ure retarded. howd u like it if someone give you a purple dye the day ure born. then tell ur mom its not harmful, and tell them its not like you care. go kill urself.

  • @papillonfx Humans, who have a consciousness of how they look, are different than chickens, who don't.

  • @HarrisonOdell GFYS!

I DO NOT understand people like you..

  • @HarrisonOdell- but have you seen how they do it ? it is wrong because some people just throw them in a bowl of dye or food coloring and they mix the lil chicks with ther hands,,when ther just born- they ether drown or there delicate so they break their wings and the ones who survive is what you seen in the video-- some dont care [im not trying to fight but im just saying my opinion , it depends how they do it]

  • @GandySwe It does depend on how they do it, and I agree that if those methods are the way it's carried out, it's horrible. However, I don't think that's how it's done.

  • @HarrisonOdell Exactly and it's just food coloring if they were to be dyed they would be dead by now.

  • lol @ the green one

  • Oh my goodness, that is just the CUTEST thing! The green chick is so funny; and the yellow ones are amazingly adorable!

  • You really shouldn't dye your chickens, their feathers are constantly being cleaned so yes it can hurt them by being ingested. there should be a permit to owning all animals so that they aren't mistreated.

  • I hate people.

  • HOWt

  • WHY?

  • just another example of animal exploitation...go Vegan...

  • you are disgusting people for thinking this is ok to do, leave animals fucking be!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Whilst dying the chicks themselves isn't harmful, it exploits peoples' impulses to buy cute, fluffy things that are pretty colours. The dye doesn't last long, so what happens after the chick grows up? It will most likely be discarded/removed.

    That is the cruelty here.

  • ahahahhahah!!!! that little cute orange chick got scared when the camera's near AHAAHAHAHA!!!

  • @tampusfe and this is funny how? lets scare you and see what you do?? shit yourself most likely!!!

  • HOW DO U COLOUR THEM

  • how do u dye them?

  • i want all

  • i want to see how they look when they grow up

  • I want a blue one.

  • I WANT A BLUEEEE ONEEEE =D

  • thanks for sharing their beautiful

  • help... my chicks doesn't want to eat or drink... there's only three since my father does not want me to kill more chick (lol) but the chicks won't eat any pellets or feeds and they won't also drink anything... (they are on the almost right temperature) damn... they'll die a little help?

  • For this whole Vegetarian war going on. Funny how a shark can kill people and we just say "Oh well it was a shark, it was just hungry" Or a tiger can kill it's prey and well just say "That's Just Nature" We are animals too. it's the food chain. We need to eat meat too. Don't Chastise people for their love of meat. It's natural, even if another animal dies.

  • @KtwMjsuperfan It's not the act of eating or killing that gets some people upset. Personally, I do eat meat though, I was a vegetarian for three years. I can say that, from a personal stand, the more sentient a being the more I tend to refrain from wanting to eat it. I refrain from eating pig for the same reason I refrain from eating monkey. Now, it seems hypocritical then to eat a cow or chicken, but I have to justify it someway. The real problem to me, is the exploitation and the torture.

  • @KtwMjsuperfan Lastly, I forgot to address your statement about "nature" and other animals harming us. The difference is that we, as sentient and highly intelligent beings, have the capacity to understand and assess the world around us and why we do the things we do. A shark or tiger operates on instinct , and instinct alone, not having the ability to reflect on their morality of their actions. Having this understanding and capacity sets us apart from the rest and makes us more responsible.

  • its like dying a babies hair. and a lot more people would be uncomfortable with that than these chikens. :/

  • they cant enjoy the process of being dyed. and they cant willingly say they want to be dyed. its different to humans dying their hair. in my eyes its cruel and unnecessary. they look much cuter naturally anyway. this just looks ugly.

  • AND! You can change a chicks coloring by adding food coloring to their water and or food, and to the idiot worries about the cage they are in. When you have baby chicks. You put them in one of these giant feed tubs with a heated lamp over top so they stay warm and won't die. idiot.. lol people are so very dumb.

  • this is cruel..

  • how do you color a chick and how long does it last for?

  • @busterl0ver ive never done it but i raise chickens and my moms mom dyed her and it lasted untill they had alltheyre feathers at four weeks and many of theyer feathers were that colar too you dye them while there in the egg you soak the agg (but keep the top above the water) in an highly concetrated dye and leave them till about to days befor they hatch and thats it

  • @decogirl102 Thanks so MUCH i really want to do that... :)

  • Is that real or just cgi

  • weird they look so freakin cute <3

  • Lol I don't see why everyone is complaining.. You guys don't care when humans dye their hair, why chicks? Besides, they seem happy enough. :3

  • @danniclark if they could talk, i dont think they would be thanking us for their new colors :p its down right rude, the thing about what you said is "humans dye their hair" but humans CHOOSE to dye their hair, did anyone ask the chicks (well not possible) but im sure if you could they would prefer to be themselves and not some stupid unusual color, it takes away their characteristics :P

  • thats jacked up...but you gotta admit, CUTE !

  • Dying them is against the law here in Nova Scotia if I remember right.

  • just food dye its not hurting them. they are so cute

  • As long as your not using spray paint lol Why not free country lol

  • @thecolororangeee - Wow, and still you cuss. Do you kiss your momma with that mouth? And btw, in your previous posts, it's "you're" as in "you are" not "your," which is a pronoun, not the contraction that you meant to use, ignoramus.

  • @thecolororangeee I been through more than you will ever have to suffer in a lifetime. What's the matter, too much merlot and youtube. Sleep it off...

  • Comment removed

  • @reedbabes Look at you make up stuff and how gross can you be kissing my own mother. Don't bring others into this, this was between you and me. I'm done with you, you pathetic rat. You only reply to my comment because you had nothing better to do. And guess what? I'm getting colored chicks, so now you can deal with it ;)

  • @thecolororangeee Yeah, if I were YOUR mother, I wouldn't want you to kiss me either because you are gross and insulting and ignorant. Good luck with YOUR chicks because YOU'RE going to need it. So be done and SHUT UP already!

  • @reedbabes Have a nice day weirdo :)

  • @thecolororangeee That's the pot calling the kettle black! Grow up and get some manners, loser...

  • Comment removed

  • @reedbabes No one is calling you back, you only believe that.

  • @thecolororangeee Don't go away mad, just go away...

  • @thecolororangeee I don't have to judge you, your words speak volumes about you. And I am doing something about people selling colored chicks, but how would you know that because you don't know the first thing about me. Still hoping that an ignoramus like you never gets your hands on a chick...

  • @reedbabes Keep hoping. Look at you trying to be poetic, words speak volumes? What the hell is that? Oh please, just back off. Worst things are happening in the world such as human trafficking, homeless, etc and your crying over something as small as this. Your probably not even a vegetarian, in that case you shouldn't even be talking at all.

  • @thecolororangeee I eat according to my blood type, check out Dr. Peter d'Amato. Some people should be vegan and some should not depending on their blood type. I don't eat chicken, never liked it even as a child. I won't back off, I will stand my ground for animal and their rights because they can't protect themselves from this cruel world. Can you even reply without cussing, does that make you superior? Bring it on!

  • @reedbabes I like how you completely ignored the problems I talked about.

  • @thecolororangeee Oh, I haven't ignored any of those problems, I am a part of the human race just like you. But the issue at hand was the colored chicks, isn't that what this video is about?

It's not about homelessness or human trafficking, it's not even about humans. Don't try and muddy the waters with unrelated topics. What, you have no other argument but to switch gears and change the subject? Go to bed...

  • @reedbabes LOL

The world is how it is, so people can learn from it. You just want to live in a perfect peaceful world.

  • @thecolororangeee Doesn't everyone? But that isn't reality and the way the world is going we are going to up end killing it one day. So I want something better for the future. OMG, I am so horrible! Nice talking to you, except for the cussing.

  • @crimsonblood1248 not true at all, thousands of male chicks are killed at hatcheries every DAY. Since roosters do not lay eggs nobody wants them and they are killed soon after hatching.
