  • The kids are crying and the guy is still laughing...

  • stupid tourists...

  • HO PINO .................................STEENO

  • Even after the large wave, this video shows plenty of idiots continuing to keep their backs to the ocean...

  • i feel bad for lifeguards that have to risk their lives to save these freaking idiots if anything happens...

  • lol

  • man this video just straight out made me mad, how can people be so stupid? the ass hole that was filming this should be put in jail for not seeing the danger having those kids there.

  • PINO U DUMBFUCK GET OFF THE ROCKS U FUCCCCCCCCCCCKING SPASTIC

  • No Brains = No Headache!!! Dumb Haoles... " that was fun..."??? don't under estemate mother nature.

  • pino needs closer supervision! After the first wave, he's blank when warned about the next one coming.

  • do Not turn your back to the ocean; wtf??

  • dumb white people on vacation

  • @cirosuperiore fuck you you rasit bitch stfu you nigger

  • This is why condoms should be used......

  • "Pino?" "Beano?" I take it that he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer to applaud a big wave coming in with a blowhole at his back?

  • LOOK OUT PINO

  • The term "Darwinism" comes to mind. Stupid tourists should stick to disney world

  • Human race is doomed, that moron already bred more retards...

  • David Potts, 44, of San Anselmo, California was killed on July 9, 2011 when he was knocked off his feet by a large wave and swept into the blow hole at Nakalele Point .

In 2002 Daniel Dick, an 18-year-old from California, drowned when he fell into Halona Blowhole near Sandy Beach on Oahu's East side.

To read more about that incident, google: Daniel Dick blowhole

  • 42 year old tourist man died there last week, left a wife 8mo pregnant. Malama Pono, Malama Aina.

  • I wonder if the up loader sees these comments. But you seem like you enjoy putting yourself in this type of danger

  • Respect the Land and Ocean!!! But you Tourist wouldn't know anything about that! You trash your own land and pollute your own waters...Rouge waves? Sometimes the water may be calm from afar but as soon as you get close it will get realy rough as to say the ocean is hungry...BEWARE!!!

  • What accident? nobody got hurt and nobody died. Pity.

  • This is very dangerous. I could hear a child scream with real fear in her voice.

  • I don't have a problem with tourists playing around blowholes, just as long as they don't put the blame on someone else (i.e. Hawaii) when something *bad* happens like what this mans fiancee is trying to do.

lol warning signs? It's pretty obvious the blowhole is dangerous just by looking at it- that is a warning itself. It's not Hawaii's fault some people LACK common sense when playing around blowholes.

  • Was hoping for Pino to get sucked in the blowhole then chewed up and spat out by mother nature! PINO PINO PINO!

  • This video would've been epic if Pino got his ass mopped by the Ocean God!

  • Some people will never learn...

    From UPI (com)

Hawaii: Man fell in blowhole at own risk

    Published: July 15, 2011

    (SNIP)

The county said search teams went back Thursday and saw that visitors "continued to gather around the blowhole area, despite being told that someone disappeared in that same location a few days ago."

For the rest of the article, google search: "Man fell in blowhole at own risk"

  • Scarmo....I'm guessing you saw the news....you probably turned all red face when you saw or read the article. I hope now you realized that those actions put everyone in jepordy, you could have avoided the whole thing by watching from a distance.

  • Respect the power of mother nature...mistakes usually end lives. Lots of laughing going on until it's almost too late. Besides the wave knocking him over, this man and everyone else standing nearby are sure lucky the water didn't suck them over the side. Attractions like this are best observed from a distance. Rule of thumb...if the sight you're standing on is wet you can bet your house that the waves can and will reach you. Back the hell up!!!!

  • The attitude from locals here is stupid. Sure, HI has tourists from all over the world. TWA had customers and many went to Freedom Land in NY from all over the world. Neither are in business because of the "we got other customers, don't need you" attitude. Rather than educating people who are unfamiliar with the ocean, you're just bashing them. And, nobody can win a lawsuit against a state for being killed by a wave while standing on a blowhole.

  • It's funny how you all say that we "need" the tourist. Yes, maybe we do...we got tourist coming to our islands from all over the world...it's these stupid ass one's we don't need! C'mon now...if Beno had died that day...you'd have sued our state for what?? For your own stupidity! We locals welcome (E Komo Mai) tourist, but when you take our beautiful island for granted as this video proves...you might as well vacation somewhere else. Like I said..we got tourist coming from all over the world.

  • a fine example of survival of the fittest

  • Go to hawaiinewsnow (com) and look for the article and video titled: "Blowhole dangers caught on tape"

They showed part of this youtube video and part of some other youtube videos.

  • YOU Could Care less if Beeto or Veeto or wtf fell into the blow hole and got shredded like hamburger, You sick bastard PRICK

  • @shiznitbitslap its pino :D

  • You stupid asshole with the camera What a fucking god damn muther fucker

  • @scarmo19 "accidents do happen" because you all are welcoming one with open arms! if a local did this, others would think they're just as stupid. but rarely do you see locals waiting for waves to come crash into them because we KNOW the ocean is powerful, and we know we should RESPECT that!

if beno had been killed, tourists would 'drop visits to maui" because they think it's dangerous... but only the arrogant are the ones who get themselves killed. just like the guy from california.

  • @ourxladyxxofxsorrows You are the arrogant one, "we KNOW the ocean is powerful". Many have NEVER seen something like this, that's one of the reasons they go to Maui. The only reason you "KNOW" is you live there. Rather than condemning a guy who died in an accident with grieving friends & family, you could just tell people, "That's very dangerous, here's why.." You wouldn't know what dangerous streets to avoid in SF, LA, or NYC. If anything is hurting Maui, it's attitudes like yours.

  • @sactonomad I know what you are trying to say; however, Hawaii's tourists do stupid things time and time again. People simply need to exercise common sense. I have absolutely ZERO skills when it comes to skiing; however, I'm smart enough to know not to attempt a black diamond run. I'll stick to the bunny slopes. I can't tell you how many times I've seen tourists in Hawaii purchase a cheap blowup raft and take it into big surf. You can't save a person from their own stupidity.

  • Hysterical little girls, dumbfounded women and stupid men what a combination. Aloha.

  • Stupid white people coming to Hawaii and messing with the ocean, I'm white but not that stupid and you had kid's with you, then something happen you want to sue Hawaii for your stupidity!!!

  • I can't tell from video... did he almost get pulled out to sea or down the blowhole? It looks like the hole is farther to the left, and he almost got pulled off the rocks into the ocean. Nasty way to die either way... tough to swim in a blender. That water is so full of bubbles that you'd sink straight down.

  • Comment removed

  • @scarmo19 No. Many people have died in these blowholes because they got that close to them. Actually a man just passed away for doing what you guys did. There are warnings all over the place. It's not an accident if your own stupidity kills you, that's just asking for it. I don't know why people think they're invincible.

  • @kfgfan Respect has many meanings. To many of us turning your back to the ocean is disrespectful to the ocean. Clapping your hands when you see a big wave coming and not moving to higher ground disrespected the power of the ocean.

  • @scarmo19 lol they should be nice about tourist stupidly risking their lives for no good reason? :p those idiots were stunned by the first wave;.....so what do they do? walk slowing and watch for more waves rather than GET OUT FAST.

Its not so much that the wave will drown them on its own..its that the wave smashes them and they get knocked out against hard hard ground THEN drown.

  • @scarmo19 I have a feeling that he has only been a "Local" for a short time.

  • why would you play around that thing? Then risk the life of other who have to try and save your dumb ass.

  • news.yahoo.com/tourists-saw-calif-man-fall-maui-blow-hole-022651015.html

Well it finally happened. A guy got sucked into the blowhole. Please Please please don't get to close to this thing. Mother nature will remind you REAL quick who is boss...

  • Yeah, I'm with the people who claim these people are idiots. Look at the dude that just died. Very similar scenario. I don't think Maui has to worry too much about tourists not going to Maui anymore because the locals, along with anyone else with two brain cells to rub together, thinks this is moronic. Cheers.

  • Tourists vs Locals. So stupid. Tourists should be respectful of course, but i dont see how this is disrespectful. Stupid perhaps, but disrespectful? Also, when 40% of Hawaii's GDP is based on tourism, you're really not in a place to complain. Without tourism Hawaii would be one broke-ass state.....although I guess with unemployment so high there'd be lots of people to go surfing with....

  • Now I know why tigers eat their young.

  • well, when tourists show up at my home and act like I should worship them because of their "support," and they treat the local people, attractions, etc like garbage, then of course I will also have this attitude. It is well deserved. I do not live in Maui, but I live in an area that has a heavy tourism trade, and we deal with the same thing. Be smart, and respectful, when you are on vacation, and "the locals" won't hate you!

  • idiot alert...

  • All you dummies still going here with no respect and common sense check out this maui news article (missing person). Then maybe "bum bye you learn" mauinews.com/page/content.detail/id/551280.html

  • Stupid kid like this exists anywhere! Fault if dead

  • @scarmo19 , I love tourist because like you said they support hawaii but what i dont like is when people like you go to places like these , get hurt and make a big fuss saying there were no warning signs and sue the state. For what ? your own stupidity ive seen it done many times. Then guess what happens next ? They block access to the puka and its ruined for everyone.

  • typical stupid tourist who have no respect for something so powerful. as us locals say "bum bye you learn"

  • @dc5kid I don't blame you a bit for the atttude toward idiot tourists who do stupid things. This group is annoying, from the morons who stand with their backs to an impending wave to the screaming crying little girls I almost want to see get washed away.

  • Lol,hes Like "Wtf am i still alive?"

  • dangerous, yes, screaming needed, when they are mvoing away and are 40ft from shore, no...

  • bEENO IS NOT LUCKY

  • BEEEEEEENNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • People have actually been taken out (drowned) in similar situations on Maui. Very, very dangerous to say the least.
