no you do NOT need to bring an amp, they got the heavy lifting there the amps, the drums, etc, and they have some spare guitars and bass in case you break a string, witch they DO replace, thats what they are payed for.

i go to the st.louis camp jam every year it is the most fun thing... my band met at camp jam and now we play at a lot of parties and stuff for everyone who is thinking about doing camp jam... DO IT OR I KILL U!

I would go to PCA, but then I'd have to travel halfway across the country. hahah Camp Jam is about fun, but Power Chord Academy is more serious. I would go to either one (and, TBH, I prefer PCA), but since CJ is in my state, I'm going to CJ.
