  • why not just answer the question? WHICH RYU DO YOU CLAIM TO AFFILIATE WITH? I gave you an answer, I need not give you proof. At least, a gentleman knows how to answer a simple question. You are obviously a troll and a fake. EVERY ONE, please don't feed this troll. He's obviously a FAKE. please stop misinforming people and misleading them with your disrespectful charlatan comments and videos. have a nice day, troll.

  • @kilooneeight hey fuck ass it says blatantly on my profile i'm a bujinkan student, can you not read english as well as japanese? i've dealt with you before little boy, i've proven you to be wrong over and over

  • @scottbaioisdead @scottbaioisdead Oh, another white ninja! LOL! Little boy eh? you've dealt with me before? I'D CERTAINLY LIKE TO SEE THAT OLD MAN WHO CLAIMS TO STUDY "NINJA" TECHNIQUES. NINJA... LOL! oh man, another Naruto wanna be. sooooooo FAKE. go watch some more American Ninja movies. They teach a lot of ninpo and ninjutsu techniques on those movies or better yet, watch power rangers, you disrespectful old man. Ninja...WTF. hahahahahahaha! Here's a rope, it's long enough. Go hang yourself.

  • @kilooneeight ninja don't exist. i'm white? yes big deal, are you another filipino who thinks he's japanese because he's slightly asian? you're a pacific islander you're not considered the same as japanese. go practice escrima if you want to play the race card, you're not japanese, once more you're not japanese.

  • Mr. Scottbaioisdead, you go around posting and asking people who give out constructive criticisms about your video what ryu do they belong to, calling them names, and DISRESPECTING people. would you care to tell us WHAT RYU do YOU affiliate yourself with? I am connected with Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryu Kenjutsu. again, you belong to what ryu?

  • @scottbaioisdead the tsuka IS THE HANDLE ITSELF. let me refresh your expertise in the japanese sword. the parts are on the handle before the blade are, Habaki, Seppa, Tsuba, Fuchi, Mekugi, the the ENTIRE TSUKA which may be wrapped in traditional Samegawa (ray skin) and further wrapped in silk cloth/ leather called Tsuka-itto depending on the style of the wrap called tsuka-maki which may be hineri maki/ katate maki, an ornament called Menuki, and the Kashira. so, there. no need to go to Japan.

  • @kilooneeight it's ito not itto please learn japanese menuki are used in pairs so you mean ornaments, 柄 is the kanji tsuka, the term is haft or hilt, not handle. also you're not a member of hyoho niten ichi ryu, as you said yourself, you've studied it in the past. you are not a member. you also left out about 20 different type of maki 鮫皮 samegawa means sharkskin not rayskin please learn japanese

  • this 'thing' doesn't suit assassins either. assassins are supposed to be sneaky and quick on the kill. pulling the handle off and pushing forward causes a lack of control of the blade, which greatly reduces the chance striking the vital areas of the abdomen. do you seriously believe this thing can bypass the rib cage? hell no... maybe if you got lucky.. lol.. seriously, grab a real wakizashi to avoid making yourself look like a darn fool.

  • oh yeah, it existed just now. hahahahahahaha! this existed historically? seriously? I'm sorry, I can't fully grasp the practicality of this stuff used in combat. oh well, there are always innovations in field combat. I'm sorry, I am too "ignorant" mr. scottbaioisdead but in our dojo, we don't pull it up like skirts, my sensei does not pull it up, my sensei's sensei does not pull it up, everyone else in the dojo does not pull it up like a skirt. do you practice kenjutsu?

  • @kilooneeight i've been training since before you were born little boy, try watching my video on hakama to learn the truth about the history,.

  • @scottbaioisdead oh my... mr. scottbaioisdead, apparently sir, in your years of training, you have much to learn. try to research on your etiquette on dealing with people. anyway, thank you for your video which may impart some degree of additional information. it's nice to know you've trained years before I was born.. at least I know you'll grow older, weaker, and has a higher probability of dying sooner than most of my generation would. thank you once again.

  • @kilooneeight LOL about the sword comment. this guy, or anyone, using this crap would end up getting slaughtered..

  • @Thieflyfe hahahahaha! oh man, he would have a relatively higher probability of ending up on the ground soaked in his own blood. I guess this might (really, it might..we don't wat to discount the fact that there would be really fools before the Meiji era who would go to the extent of carrying this crap) actually work for assassins. you know, 1 guy meets someone, takes a bow, chat with him while being entertained in a brothel, then suddenly pokes him with this shit!

  • the injured guy then stands up in complete shock and surprise, angrily pulls out his sword and violently mangles the stupid assassin who was trying to kill him with a dorky wakizashi.. ofcourse, the injury may be fatal, and he dies later. Result? either only the assassin dies or both of them dies. Moral lesson? carry a real wakizashi into a sword fight! it will kill your target more effectively and it may save your life too.

  • @kilooneeight damn right! just grab a traditional tanto to do job. it can assassinate people much more efficiently than this junk because of its lighter weight, ease of control, and concealment. other than that, i have to say this piece of shit is just stupid. i mean why the hell would the other guy place his hand on the handle to prevent the sword from being drawn, would it mean he didn't want to fight? then why would someone pull this shitty move to ''attempt' a kill?

  • @Thieflyfe what ryu do you study? you don't understand muto dori obviously. you put your hand on the tsuka, not handle, to prevent the person from drawing because your ability to push requires less strength than their pulling, while putting the tsuka, not handle, of the katana on the outside of your own body making their reach compromised. to counteract this the saya is drawn back with the left hand dislodging the tsuka, not handle, allowing for the thrust. so once again what ryu?

  • @scottbaioisdead tsuka and handle are pretty much the same thing. i don't know japanese, but i looked up tsuka and it appears to be the wrapping material for the sword handle. your explanation still does not excuse this pathetic invention because it's not compatible for fighting. the only ryu i study is the streetfighter ryu. i mastered all the moves, including the hadouken, shoryuken, and the hurricane kick.

  • @Thieflyfe try going to japan and seeing that this is a historical tool, not my invention. of course the closest you'll get to japan is your ps2, so better yet kill yourself, thats somewhat japanese depending on how you do it, because you're completely worthless.

  • why would anyone think of carrying this? a samurai will definitely laugh his ass out when he sees this.

  • @kilooneeight well the phrase is laugh ass off not out, but this weapon existed historically, i guess you're too ignorant to understand its use. like your comment on hakama

  • You're a poor swordsman is you fall for that

  • the reverse blade sword isnt pretend its real.....

  • Where did you get your reverse blade from?? I'm wondering how much they cost and where to get them ?

  • im looking to get a reversed edge sword like kenshi...i have a 250 dollar budget and it needs to be able to ship in canada. any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • @natinion3 i don't deal with pretend swords.

  • @scottbaioisdead

    You're a jackass.

  • @natinion3

    trueswords(dot)com

You'd want the $94.99 Sakabato, the lower-priced one is merely a display model made of stainless steel.

Here you go bub, well under your budget and they can ship to Canada. Just shoot them an e-mail and let them know you reside in Canada and you're interested in placing an order and they'd be happy to work with you.

  • um how exactly would you use the sword? because it would fly of with every swing or when you use battojutsu the hilt in your hand sword still in the sheath.

  • who cares wether sword is real or fake , costly or cheap , as long as it serve its pupose its a good sword . opps i think most ppl here is busido freak so they wont agree i guess.

  • he don't even have the sword fitted properly to his belt and yet he argues about the steel n shit like that he is truly a dumbass.. hahaah

  • This weapon seems very specialized. Definitely not common, I can see usefulness maybe in a trapping attack. Is this design documented as an assassins tool ?

  • im no supre duper martial artist guy but that doesnt seem useful whatsoever,,,

i understand the surprise element but when i think of a sword i think of 2 things, slash and stab. unless your using a Sabakato in which case it is Smack, smack and kick (?).

  • @Kelvarra you mentioned a made up anime sword. please don't bother watching any of my videos ever.

  • @scottbaioisdead hater and i shall watch you videos as i please sir. so sorry for enjoying you video

  • @scottbaioisdead You are a total dick hole.

  • @scottbaioisdead im sorry but Sabakatos may not be historically accurate but it is a sword nonetheless, all weapons deserve respect

  • @Kelvarra study metallurgy and you'll know a "sakabato" will break the first time it hits anything. children need to keep their mouths shut when adults are talking about adult things.

  • @scottbaioisdead dont know why your being an ass about this, and HOW would a reverse blade break with ONE hit?

  • @Kelvarra once again. learn metallurgy. its annoying for me to have to deal with children who talk about an ANIME SWORD. learn about how the pearlite and martensite structures of a blade react under stress, and why when a blade curving in the opposite direction, which is physically impossible by the way due to the cooling differential, would snap. it's not that hard for anyone who actually knows what they're talking about and lives in the real world.

  • @scottbaioisdead

I myself have a reversed edged sword, it isn't made in a ware house it was hand forged beat and shaped. The blade itself is the same as a katana but sharpened on the other end. In fact my reversed edged katana has a faster attack time than a normal edged katana. The one down side is that it isn't as powerful but the curve allows more speed. There is also a difference with a wall hanger anime sword and a real reverse edged sword.

  • @fastitslol handforged? whats the name of the smith in japan who made it? which steels is it made of? faster attack? you're a retard, if you had ever trained in kenjutsu you'd realize why thats wrong and why everything you said contradicted itself based on one glaring flaw in the design that will leave you with no fingers.

  • @scottbaioisdead

Like I know his name now, and I doubt you do train in any style. If you did you'd be a lot more respectful than you are now. You do not criticize information you take in as much as you can. Plus the style you say you know or train in I can't learn for they do not teach how to use a reverse edged blade. I have used my blade quite a bit and I am typing aren't I? The steel is 1040 steel, Carbon.

  • @fastitslol thanks you've just proven you're an asshole with no knowledge. steel implies it's carbon added to iron so your saying of "carbon" proves you're a little boy with no knowledge of metallurgy. your sword was made in a factory in china, 1040 is a very cheap very low carbon monosteel, your sword was made by a giant machine cutting out a sword shaped blank out of a big sheet and then an edge was ground on one side. thats not a japanese sword, it's a chinese kitchen knife.

  • @scottbaioisdead

How am I a asshole? You are the one calling me a child and dumb in a very childish manner. If anyone is the "asshole" here it is you. For you can't go one sentence without insulting. You are quite a suborn mual and I think that you don't know your swords to well my good man because if you did you'd understand how the 1040 or 1060 is a better steel for a reverse edged katana rather than High carbon steel that can break easier than a low carbon keeping it from breaking as you say

  • @fastitslol a real japanese sword is made from jacketed steel creating two completely different section separated into pearlite and martensite structures with varying hardnesses. drawing a real japanese sword with the blade on the opposite side would cut through the habaki and the users fingers. you fucking children need to stop the anime bullshit and realize your chinese made musashi swords from trueswords aren't real.

  • @scottbaioisdead

I don't see a MADE IN CHINA anywhere on my blade. You seem like the child here cuss words don't make you look big and tough it makes you look like a little Xbox kid and also makes you look very ignorant. Also you do not know anything about the reverse blade sword it seems I could give you a complete background on A REAL reverse edged blade but you seem like a very single minded person that you might decline that and keep on with your rant.

  • @fastitslol your sword is fake, anyone who is the least bit familiar with japanese swords knows that your sword was made in china. it cannot be legally made in japan. do some research and learn who the fuck you’re dealing with .

  • @scottbaioisdead I have done research my good sir. Again would you like me to make a said video showing my sword? Or would you like a set of pictures? Or maybe you'd love showing me where it is illegal and or impossible to use. You are just looking dumber and dumber the more you argue without evidence. I could give you link after link of websites if you want I'd even make you a video of me personally showing my blade. And all you do is call me dumb and state it is fake. Won't win a war that way.

  • @scottbaioisdead there are like 5 legal swordsmiths left in japan

  • @jason200912 actually almost 1000

  • @fastitslol If the Chinese company that made it wanted people to believe that is was an authentic Japanese sword, which they would have to in order to sell it as a Sakabato, they are not going to stamp it "Made in China". You buy a Hanwei Paul Chen Katana which is made by Chinese Smiths in China, and they are not stamped "Made in China", so your argument here is weak!

  • @ExposeChosunNinja

I could really careless at this point. Say what you wish. I saw what I saw and know what I know and it was more of a figure of speech.

  • @fastitslol In addition to what Dean has said here. 1045 steel is the lowest carbon content steel that can successfully be differentially hardened. Therefore if your steel is 1040, then at most it was through hardened by oil quenching the whole blade. This is why someone can make a reverse edge blade with that steel. This steel and quenching method was never used in ancient Japan.

  • Oohh, that's kinda of a dirty trick. o_o

  • Stop giving him crap i mean sure some of you r right about y its flaud but comments like "this is the 21st century", well most people in the 21st century are pussies because i mean how much skill do you need to pull a trigger answer none. plus how fair is it that people who are sniped from far distances didn't even have a chance to defend them self and they don't even get to look that person in the face and admit defeat like a true soldier should. In today wars there is no honor just blood shed.

  • @cena9913 most gun fights are around 7 feet no more then 24 a skilled knife fighter can close distance in 3 secs or so in many cases faster then you can pull a gun out of a belt under stress

  • @cena9913 i couldn't agree more. The world would be a better place if major political figures just somehow got rid of all guns and everyone went back to openly carrying swords.

  • sneaky.

  • Bad idea. Unless someone try to prevent you from drawing your wakizashi, your companion sword is useless for most of the time.

  • Woah, nice blade. Also, is the katana, or the other half of the daichi reverse fitted also?

If they are both reverse fitted, what if your oppenent attacks with a different tactic, like trying to wrestle the blade away from you when you draw it?

    Good video.

If you don't know anything about martial arts, you really should not comment.

  • I sense aot of anger from scottbaioisdead on everyone making a comemnt, he doesnt like. Lets all flag this video here. The only right thing to do.

  • This helped alot with my comic series! Thanks! :)

  • so if the grip can deattach from the sword itself during battles with the same sword what will happen while swinging it? i ain't a ninja or nothing, like the thing he just showed tho! but isn't that to less to attack a person....i mean the leats u can do is injur someone with that size of the sword not put him down what i mean to say is not kill a person! just minor injuries!

  • @psybera1987 why do people who don't study martial arts even comment on this video.

  • @scottbaioisdead well i wanted to learn what you were teaching which is why i clicked the video to see man!

  • @scottbaioisdead cuz the internet is bogged down with idiots

  • @scottbaioisdead

its even more funny because one does not have to study martial arts to know that being stabbed with a blade of that size can be lethal -_-

  • @scottbaioisdead because they're interested. and surely if they're watching yoru video that means they are learning martial arts anyway dumbass.

  • @scottbaioisdead well if you wanted people who studie martial arts to see this you should have put it out on a forum for martial arts :P

  • @scottbaioisdead maybe they're interested? as you americans say, it's a free country, or in this case world.

Anyway, that is very flawed, if they've stopped you drawing, what makes you think you could get the handle off? + i'm pretty sure it would slip through the obi before stabbing someone. + you're a stuck up cunt. in case you didn't know

  • @sedwarg looks like you don't know how the sword is constructed, what ryu of kenjutsu do you study again?

  • @scottbaioisdead none mate, people don't walk round with swords these days...

  • @sedwarg Your a bigot. Race, religion, and country don't mean anything except in bigotry and territory words. Take your hate elsewhere.

  • @FieldswordShinobi Did you read ANYTHING I wrote, or did you just assume I'm a racist? Idiot

  • @sedwarg You said you americans so yeah I believe that's a derogatory racial generalization. So yeah, you're a bigot, not a racist. Read what I said before you talk shit.

  • @FieldswordShinobi haha I'm neither hating or talking shit. That would be you.

'Its a free country' is a saying used by Americans, so that comment was hardly derogatory was it? However I think what you're saying is hate fueled, and it seems to me that you're just another keyboard warrior who happens to be in a bad mood when they read my comment.

  • @FieldswordShinobi If you read my comment without being stupidly biased, then you'd have realised that it had nothing to do with the fact that the person it was aimed at happened to be an Amercian.

  • @sedwarg Even if it didn't, you said "you americans" Where the fuck are you from? I bet if I said "you (whateverthefuckyouare) had fat asses and ate babies you take offense to it. I'm not biased, you're just a bigot fuck that likes to put labels on people to help make your point. Yesterday was our Independence day and I happened to read it the day before, so you brought this on yourself by putting those two words together in the same sentence. Fuck the guy it was aimed at, you're a bigot.

  • @FieldswordShinobi Haha man you're a full on idiot. I didn't say anything offensive at all in that sentence. You and your independence day can get fucked

  • @sedwarg I'd love to argue with a moron about whether an insult is offensive or not, but that's just a waste of time. Where are you even from? Some backwards ass country that thinks they're better than anyone else. If you have something interesting to say other than denying whether or not your made a generalization (which is what you di) of an entire country, then feel free to comment back. If not, then go smoke some pole and get over yourself ya bigot fucktard. Go get fucked, ya cock smoker.

  • Comment removed

  • @Leedin666 Well I didn't say anything about him saying that about Americans. I just said he's predjudiced because of a nation of people. So there you go, clear enough?

  • @scottbaioisdead like assholes we all have opinions :) couldbe a reason ..said that backward Opinions are like assholes we all have one

  • @scottbaioisdead Your mad bro?

  • @psybera1987 it's not something you would take into battle, it's something you would take for a specific objective, like if you were sitting in seiza across from someone, no katana, both allowed to wear kodachi. and, you could kill someone with that blade, it only takes a few inches of steel to kill, especially in the 16th century

  • @pacificimporters its true! i agree :D one single blade across the throat!

  • @psybera1987 actualy it doesent matter what size the blade is you could easly kill someone with this you just have to know how to do it and were to hit. ive been doing martial arts for 6 7 years now and i never seen a sword like this tho i dont know ut it looks like its more for injuring the person than actualy killing them with one blow.

  • @psybera1987 hahahahahaha,:]

  • I dont understand how this would be a practical weapon. Other than committing seppuku it looks fairly useless

  • @KJTheSamurai yes people who don't understand kyojitsu wouldn't understand this weapon, maybe you should train in a martial art and you can understand its use.

  • @scottbaioisdead why do you have to be rude and make false assumptions? youre very ignorant. i was stating an opinion. not trying to insult. but since you have to be a troll ive actually studied quite a few martial arts so take your backwards wakizashi that can only be used for one thing and shove it up your nvm im not gonna take it that far. sorry for the disturbance. Bye

  • @KJTheSamurai you've proven my point, you don't train in a martial art.

  • @scottbaioisdead you really are ignorant kid. you know you were wrong and youre still making false assumptions. Talk to me when you can cut a freestanding stalk of bamboo without it falling over

  • @KJTheSamurai little boy i've been training since well before you were born, perhaps you can continue this discussion in japanese and tell me which ryu of kenjutsu you study? oh you don't study, i forgot.

  • @scottbaioisdead I mean not really? i have a picture of me at the river of life dojo with james williams training in nami ryu aiki heiho kenjutsu?

  • @KJTheSamurai wow you went to a seminar of a non koryu school. amazing, you truly are an expert on everything japanese then. i guess the fact that i speak japanese and have been published in japanese magazines and martial arts magazines around the world as an expert on japanese weaponry means nothing now since you trained a few hours with someone who made up their own style.

  • @scottbaioisdead first of all i didnt say anything about me being an expert in ANYTHING japanese stop twisting my words. second a language has nothing to do with martial arts. i dont understand how my comment "i dont understand how this is practical" lead to an argument..actually i do. you read my comment got angry due to misinterpretation and felt you had to defend your retard wakizashi pride. and if your so well know around the world how do you have time to argue with people over the internet

  • @KJTheSamurai actually language has a lot to do with martial arts. you don't speak japanese, you can't read the texts which discuss this weapon. this weapon appears in books by nawa yumio sensei, and hatsumi masaaki sensei, dont know who they are? of course not. YOU DON'T TRAIN IN MARTIAL ARTS. thats why you can't understand the use of this weapon. have fun playing by yourself cutting a piece of grass with bad form, leave real martial arts to real martial artists who actually train.

  • @scottbaioisdead i mean there are a lot of martial arts out there not all of them are japanese. just because i dont understand the purpose of this weapon you have presented doesnt mean i dont know anything about martial arts i have black belts in juijitsu and taekwondo and i have studied some aikido fyi. i know taekwondo is korean but its still a martial art. Just because i dont know your style of ninjitsu or whatever does not mean anything. your style isnt elite.

  • @KJTheSamurai tkd is a game not a martial art. which ryu of jujutsu do you have dan ranking in since you can't spell the word properly, or even spell the improper spelling of the word properly. i deal with liars every day, you shouldn't lie to me. you did acknowledge that you have no sword training though...gee what a surprise.

  • @scottbaioisdead ... so every non japanese martial art isnt good enough? and yes i do have sword training, im no master or anywhere close but i have taken kenjutsu classes and studied some iaido so dont go there

  • @KJTheSamurai you didn't name the ryu you studied. oh it's because there is no ryu. little boy you made a fucking stupid comment because you have no fucking knowledge at all about real japanese martial arts.go play power ranger or whatever the fuck you think you're doing with your little sword and leave the real martial arts to people who are serious enough to know what they're doing. come back in 20 years when you've trained a little and apologize for being a dumb fuck

  • @scottbaioisdead wow you sound very angry. i refuse to apologize.

I know way more about martial arts than you. a real martial artist is never that disrespectful to anyone

  • @KJTheSamurai hahahah another little child living the movie theatre tv show martial arts view. you have no training, you are a little boy who wants to be a cartoon. you are a fucking waste. you know nothing about martial arts. you tried to be tough guy and insult a weapon that has existed for hundreds of years becuase you're too fucking stupid to understand kyojitsu in martial arts. you know nothing. again you know nothing.

  • @scottbaioisdead you have problems dude

  • @KJTheSamurai yes my problem is the world of cartoon network creates children like you who think because they watch inuyasha they know about martial arts

  • @scottbaioisdead seriously dude grow up

  • @scottbaioisdead Oh and about the juijitsu i studied Kyu shin ryu

  • @KJTheSamurai you're aware you named a school that exists only in australia right? WHY DO YOU FUCKING LIE. i hate children.

  • @scottbaioisdead actually no

  • @scottbaioisdead thats what ive been told for the years of jui jitsu in the dojo in aberdeen MD

  • @KJTheSamurai you can't even spell jujutsu and it's located in mdd but you claim to learn sword from a guy 3000 miles away, isn't it amazing the things i know about you within seconds that you confirm days later. thats real martial arts, you'll never know it, sorry.

  • @scottbaioisdead A real martial artist would never rise to such comments, therefore you obviously dont train. stop playing with toys before you get hurt...

  • @scottbaioisdead also i forgot to mention, Real samurai would never dishonor them selfs by using such cowardist methords to protect them(turning the blade around) sEspecially since you're using cheap paul chen practical katanas

  • @scrabby19800 i love how you children stick to this bushido bullshit. how long have you lived in japan? which ryu of kenjutsu do you train in? who in japan can i contact to verify this? please respond in japanese.

  • @scottbaioisdead still you face the fact that you cannot accept criticism and you ask that i respond in japanese over the internet, any one can use a online translator. seriously. just accept it you're putting on an act. YOU dont even show your face in the video for this reason scared to be recognised.....please put down the katana and dont play with toys

  • @scrabby19800 yes anyone can use an online ranslator but people who actually speak japanese like i do will see the mistakes in using it. i don't show my face? i have about 300 videos where i show my face, i've been published in about 27 countries for my writings on weaponry, i've been written about in japanese magazines as an expert on japanese culture, now once again, WHAT RYU OF KENJUTSU DO YOU TRAIN IN AND WHO IN JAPAN CAN I CONTACT TO VERIFY THIS?

  • @scottbaioisdead

My, my. I initially found the video highly interesting and informative.. then I saw what an arrogant stuck up bitch you are. Geez, you seriously react like that because of the simple fact that someone who knows less than you asked you a question? You need to come off your high horse, pal.

  • I think that's a waste.

  • @DanTheShotokanKid thats understandable. you would actually have to know about kenjutsu to understand this. not just dance around with a sword.

  • @scottbaioisdead I do understand. I study Kenjutsu, Ninjutsu, and Iaido. If you want a short blade, just grab your tonto for heaven's sake.

  • @DanTheShotokanKid you study kenjutsu huh? and you use the lone rangers indian friend? why the fuck do you children lie all the time?

  • @scottbaioisdead I'm not lying sir. I'm 16 btw. But my school is taught by a 6th degree master instructor. We have a mixed system and my do every fighting style known to man. We are traditional, we're not sport karate. So that's why I can only show so much. Because we do a lot of deadly stuff if you know what you're doing. The sword kata that's on my page, is mainly for tournaments. But that's just Iaido.

  • @DanTheShotokanKid it's amazing the bullshit children believe.

  • @scottbaioisdead I'm sorry? Did I say something wrong? What's with your attitude sir?

  • @scottbaioisdead his kinda right thou, he sucks never the less, but I do study Budo and I know both are kind´a not right

  • Dude, you couldn't attack your way out of a wet paper bag. Even with all the martial arts videos that you've trained with over the 23 years of extensive schooling you DON'T have.

  • Fag...

  • if i see you walkig in the street........ i gonna firin mah lazor!!!!!

  • do all katanas have the hamone????

  • ya but what peron wold wana grab the wakizashii when they can just cap u with a gun

  • lol. your all dumb.

  • ahh nevermind I watched it again. You pull the sword backwards haha spoke too soon

  • wait..I don't understand. If someone is blocking you from drawing your sword then how do you pull the handle off to expose the blade if it is the same motion as actually drawing, which they are preventing you from.

  • that thing is about as useless as the apple ipad

  • would a pelvis thrust work?....or can you modify it so it works with a pelvic thrust?

  • Your Wakizashi has a mekugi- bamboo peg holding the tsuka or hilt to the tang of the blade. The attachment of hilt to blade is very important and must be SOLID, there is no provision for detaching the hilt suddenly!

  • @sabimono actually the whole thing about mekugi being so important is blown out of proportion, but this blade doesn't use a mekugi in the tsuka nor does it need one

  • @scottbaioisdead agreed....back in the day the mekugi was there to be a safty feature just in case the tsuka could hold it in....ever since mass produced swords...the tsuka's arent made for the blades nakago...so they use 2 mekugis. If it was made for the Nakago...only one mekugi is needed as the ito holds the tsuka together and the friction of the tsuka will hold the nakago in.

  • sneaky!! i like it!!

  • lol @ scottbaioisdead

  • huh i have the same obi and gi cool the sword is pretty spiffy

  • i've done that in 199 other videos

  • Does togakure-ryu or kukishinden-ryu have a specific wakizashi length?

  • haha i can imagine the !?WTF?!- expression of "them" before "they" die, haha very neat trick.

  • What if 'someone' grabs the other sword?

That is of course if you actually have have an opponent.

Oh, get your mom to wash your 'ninja costume' it needs shrinking to fit you.

  • "They"? Who "they"? The G.I. Joes?

  • @Sokaku any opponent >_> they/he/she will come in and usualy if there really good will try 2 block that way, thats the use of it..

  • im from japan :DDD my brother has like 300 swords loll.. he does all these crazy tricks too

  • That's an awesome trick.

  • yeah yeah cool. Also just let the opponent try and draw it for you, when he pulls the blade is exposed right there...and then you stick him lol.

  • this is shit that would destroy the blade no samurai would do that.

  • so what ryu of kenjutsu do you study, for how many years, and where in japan are you from?

  • Please come to Japan, we would like to see this move in action. Please don't think they don't know this.

  • you're not in japan, sorry

  • do you use the whole wakazashi blade?cause that seems like a waste of a blade

  • But I'm just wondering is there a blade on the other side like a regular sword or that's the only blade since it is meant to be that way?

  • just this blade otherwise how would you draw it

  • A double blade sword with a mechanism would be awesome. When you want to use the longer blade, just lock the handle, so it can be used as a regular sword again.

  • Interesting

  • I've heard a lot of people say that since I'm interested in learning Japanese swordsmanship I should read The Five Rings. Do you recommend it?

  • can't learn sword from a book

  • @chasen47 dont listen to Scottbaioisdead....if you interested in the sword arts..the Book of Five Rings is something that sheds light on sword arts but you wont learn from it. If you want to learn...pick up Kendo and Iaido. If you have these...again read the book as it will shed more light on sword arts. Its a great book.
