I just discovered your channel and I absolutely love your videos! They're all really great.
So, I'm a natural blonde and I'm considering dying my hair brown but I've read that if I dye my hair at home, it might turn green. Obviously, that's not the effect I'm going for.. Should I go to the salon or is there another way I can avoid this from happening? Thanks!
@xtarantallegra i would suggest if this is your first time coloring your hair to go to a professional salon. otherwise if you are feeling adventurous and would like to do it yourself only go darker by about 1 or 2 shades of your current. thanks for watching!
So when you say don't go black. Well then what if when I dye my jade black color with brown or chocolate, what if something goes wrong, then I have to fix it and put black color back, the quickest and easiest way to fix. Right? I fancy to be brunnete, specially the chocolate, or caramel or mocha color. Gorgeous.
i've used frieda's color glaze before, too, and really liked it.
my single best tip i could give someone: (and i know this will sound weird/gross) is to condition with Hask's "henna & placenta" conditioner. it can be a little hard to hunt down, but it's on amazon. the henna isn't activated, so it doesn't change hair color and the placenta part is just select proteins that are animal cruelty-free. its the only thing that makes my hair feel amazing
@desorden150 You can color your layers either one or two shades apart in color. It really depends on how much contrast you want. When I have done it I usually stick with one shade for a more subtle look.
The lighter shade would look best in your top layers, because that is were your hair is naturally lighter from sun exposer.
@sweetpop54 I just dyed my hair red and I use Perfect10 by Clairol in Light Auburn. I really love their colors! I needed 2 boxes to cover all of my hair. When I first dyed it it was seriously red! Don't be scared...I was a little but after about a week (about 3 to 4 washes) the color looked really great!
hello! i think your video was great! very informative :)
i'm a natural brunette (light brown) looking to go red (very similar to your color in the video).
could you tell me which product(s) you used to dye your hair?
also, if you have any tips for a brunette going red, please let me know. in addition, if you could recommend any products that are more organic, natural, or lack ammonia or sulfates, it would be much appreciated.
She is a beautiful girl, with great results. I found i9t very interesting. I think condensing the script would be very effective in maintaing viewer's interest and focus. Cue cards, fewer points stated succintly, even occasion bullets on Powerpoints would help keep main points in focus. I wodl definitely prefer any advice on brands, developers (if she ever uses them) Thank you for this video!

when you talk about multi dimensional hair color for layers, how far apart should the shades be? like two shades apart or one.
Also, should the lighter shade be on the top or bottom layers?
Thanks Kitty!

hello! great video! very informative :)
i'm a natural brunette (light brown) and am looking into going red (very similar to yours).
could you tell me which product(s) you used to dye your hair?
also, do you have any recommendations for organic, natural, or just ammonia or other harsh chemical free dye and hair products?
any tips for brunettes going red would also be much appreciated! i know that red dye fades most easily and hoping not to fry my hair...
thank you!

@sweetpop54 Hair products I use are pretty much anything from Aveda! They have good ingredients and really work in my hair.
I just purchased John Frieda Color Glaze in Radiant Red and really love it! I think it will keep my red looking red for a while. I'll let you know!
Thanks for watching!! ~Kitty
