I guarantee you had it been America defeated The Japanese govt. in place at that time WOULD HAVE CHOPPED OFF OUR GENERALS HEADS, and would have attempted to enslave the rest of the world in concert with Nazi Gremany. There would have been the deliberate shameful situation you talk about. As it turns out, Japan recovered pretty darn good after their form of gov't was abolished.
