This is not the reason I went vegan personally but I can only congratulate you for it, reducing the suffering of innocent sentient beings on our planet is something to be proud of.
And, whenever I do treat myself, I limit it to just one meal instead of an entire "cheat day". It's easier for me to moderate the bad stuff that way and stay on track because I doesn't feel as bad every time I decide to indulge in those goodies. As I said before, you look great now but I'm wishing you the very best in reaching your goal :)
Very, very sorry to hear about you losing your grandmother. My sincerest condolences.
I think you look great as you are but I guess we are our own harshest critics. I've lost 105 lbs. since April. I didn't work out at all really. I just found that substitution was the key. I'm never go to bed hungry. I just grab a banana instead of a Snicker's bar or bake some potatoes, salmon & spinach instead of ordering a pizza.
@ConalCochran Wow! That's so awesome! Congrats! And ya, I talked to my doctor about the vegan thing and we've decided it's better if I'm vegetarian 4 days a week, then I can eat all the meat I want the other three days. I am rediscovering the wonders of bananas as a grab and go snack haha.
Tips? Yeah. Balance. Remember, the human body is a delicate machine that needs balance above all else. I know you said you were going partial vegan, and partial is ok. Just don't go all the way. You need to have meats in your diet, just not as much as some would have you believe. The flip side is that going all veggie isn't good for you either. Your body will tell you where the balance is as long as you watch the signs. Also be warned. If getting more veggies in your diet is something new....
